Not good at cooking and wondering what to contribute to the table?
Make a statement center piece with some plants!
Sticking to the fall theme, we chose a philodendron micans and a pot with a warmer tone. Paired with some festive pumpkins to complete the look.
Our blush colored pots are for sale at both locations!
We’re getting the shops stocked up and ready for the weekend! Each shop will have a fresh batch of plants this weekend - stop in and see what’s new ✨🌿💃

[Image Description: hand holding a velvety blue-green green leaf with a fat pointed body and two narrow lobes at the top, growing off a moss pole] 📷 Happy #PhilodendronFriday everyone! 🥳 I don't know about you but I've been having a hell of a time getting decent photos cause the light is sooo weak in fall/winter. 🌥️ Thankfully this gorgeous mature #PhilodendronCamposportoanum shows up nicely with his velvety leaves and deep almost blue-green color. 💙💚 I have a juvenile baby too that I love for her shimmer and reddish accents, so I'm sorta breaking my rule of only having one of each kind of plant, but LOOK AT HIMMM he's too handsome and I couldn't say no. 😍
CARE: This guy will only keep producing mature "cow head" shaped leaves 🐮 if he's well supported, but I haven't had great luck with trying to get him to attach to this moss pole, and he's already outgrowing it anyway...🤔 Not sure how to proceed with some of these tall boys. 🤷♀️ I've been watering about every two weeks right now with @growwithnoot 💧 and he's living in my east window cluster under my @soltech_solutions 💡 so he's growing like crazy! 🌱 Help! 😂
Want to win a Mini Fernando cactus? You might know that our Fernando cactus was named after Yair (it’s his first name). But what you probably don’t know if that Yair’s birthday is Dec 2—right after Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday—and we are always so busy during that time! What do you think we should plan for Yair’s birthday this year to let him know how much we appreciate him? Don’t worry he won’t see this post! 🎉Best idea wins a Fernando mini! 💕 (We can only ship plants within the US!) xo, Seana

All right, here is one of my favorite succulents! I can’t wait for it to get bigger! 🌵🎉☺️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔴Scientific: Euphorbia ammak verigata
🔴Common: “Variegated African Candelabra”, “Candelabra Spurge”
🌱Soil - Well draining. Cactus soil:perlite or Turface:pumice:granite (my favorite succulent/cactus mix)
🌱Other - As with other Euphorbia, the milky sap is mildly toxic so be careful when handling.

Loving the color spectrum my Variegated Philodendron Billietiae creates 💛💚🧡
I really love this philodendron brandtianum. I found it at a nursery and it had scindapsus silvery ann growing with it. I separated them into their own pots. This one just has amazing structure with how it's growing up. I keep saying I am going to give it a proper pole as opposed to the skewer it has now because it definitely deserves it.
Hey! Did you hear about the cactus that went to the party? He spiked the drinks!
Fun fact Friday: 5 things about Cacti!
1- The tallest cactus ever recorded was over 6 stories tall.
2- In 1982, a man died while vandalizing a saguaro cactus for fun. He shot the cactus repetitively and then went up to poke it to get it to fall over. Instead, the 500-pound saguaro arm fell and killed him.
3- The Stenocereus eruca, AKA “the Wandering Devil” is a cactus that can move 60 cm a year. It grows horizontally, growing at the top and dying at the bottom, moving like a caterpillar.
4- There is a cactus native to Morocco that is hotter than any chili pepper known to man.
5- Saguaro National Park’s cacti have microchip id’s implanted to prevent theft. 🌵
Another joke: What’s the difference between the US Capitol and a cactus? Cacti have their pricks on the outside. (😂 it’s just a joke!, we wanted to see if you would read this far!)
Have a great weekend! Peace, love and plants. #mossyfern#friyay
It’s no secret that we’re huge fans of carnivorous plants! The amazing people at @thekicsifolk ran a carnivorous terrarium workshop this evening and we absolutely loved getting hands on with their lush sarracenias, sundews, pitcher plants and flytraps! Pictured is a happy snap of our terrariums from tonight. Thanks so much to @thekicsifolk for being wonderful (and patient!) teachers!

New leaf on my baby “half moon” 😍🌙 #halfmoonmonstera
Some things to note about the “half moon” monstera:
- they’re not a real variety of monstera. It only describes a type of variegation pattern. Variegation is random and can always change. You are never guaranteed the half and half leaf pattern. - people often sell “half moon” cuttings that are only one leaf and they cost more. The plant you get from that cutting won’t necessarily continue a half moon pattern. Keep this in mind when shopping for monstera. - check the stems for 1/2 and 1/2 solid green and solid white, if you’re looking into buying one.
- the mother plant to this plant was sold as a half moon. It has perfect spilt 50/50 stems and it had mostly all 50/50 leaves. I chopped and propped because the plant arrived in such bad shape. I’m lucky this baby here is continuing the pattern 💚

A few years ago when we were listing our old house for sale our real estate agent was like, “Uhhh we’re going to have to get all these plants out of here before we can show your house.” I had around 25 then. I wonder what he’d say now. 🤣
A #pinguicula in bloom! 🌸 Pings are some of my favorite plants ever. Their leaves are so pretty, they produce such beautiful blooms AND they eat gnats/other bugs. It’s really the perfect plant when you think about it. 😅💕 #carnivoresplant#ping#savageplants
