(this is NOT sponsored, i am just in LOVE with this app)
this app is called “Ling!” it features all these languages shown in the video, with native pronunciation and romanization for foreign scripts. 2 lessons are free for each language but the rest of it you have to subscribe to, it is only 4.09USD/month, or 110USD for a lifetime. I recommend checking out their free lessons as they have given me a conversational boost as well as a vocab boost!
Tiras de platano verde... Green plantain chips... Chips de Banane verte...🍌
Recipe stems from Ms S. Badu-Yankson in Year10 French class at The Charter School. Almost 10 years ago now👀
The way we used to prepare for our GCSE exams was by listening to French afrobeats, analysing the lyrics, talking about our own experiences and sharing recipes! Miss would sometimes cook for us and bring snacks to the lessons and this is one of my faves that just stuck.
. @val_alia always think of you when making these. Takes a lot of time and effort and especially patience but the reward afterwards is just pure satisfaction.🙈
We have a special video premiering tomorrow - an interview with a polyglot! Get ready for some awesome insights to language learning from one of our blog writers, Majo! --

Studying lyrics is actually one of the funniest and most enjoyable methods to study a language. 📚 Don't give up on your passion just because you think you're not made for it - there are many different ways to reach your goals!
I’ve received a lot of messages about how I can stay consistent on my tasks without getting burned and quitting.. being consistent is not easy but it’s the KEY.
When you start a new project, a new learning journey you are probably doing great for some weeks and then fall off the wagon. You’re not motivated anymore.. State of mind is everything guys. So here comes my 4 tips:
▪️KNOW YOUR WHY. In order to stay focused and consistent, the most important thing is to have a clear, compelling vision for what you’re trying to achieve. Know your why, have a clear understanding of where you are going. Purpose is life-changing and you’ll stay consistent.
▪️PICK YOUR GOAL - and not goal(s). Pick one thing and just stick with that. Stay focus on this single thing, be consistent and once you really make that a habit then you can add something else.
▪️SCHEDULE IT. Think about it, don’t prioritise your schedule, schedule your priorities.
Build your whole life around what you want to achieve rather than trying this goal to fit in your current life. Thing big but start small. Schedule daily/weekly/monthly goals to reach whatever your goal is.
▪️SELF-DISCIPLINE. Self-discipline guys is everything. You will never always be motivated. You have to learn to be disciplined. Train yourself to override your feelings, force yourself to do the task even if it’s the last thing you want to do, NO MORE EXCUSES. Make self-discipline become a habit. Self-discipline is not just something that happens once and you’re done. It’s a practice.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence is not an act, but a habit. 😊😘

Food for brain 🌰
Of course, mind mapping doesn't teach you speaking,
But it makes the picture clearer... Sometimes grammar bits are so spread out in the textbooks that's so hard to put everything together and understand. .. Book your 20 minute free session on Russian Cases in DM.
A very special HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the one and only, miss @kathysue17 🎉✨🥂 I’ve met no bigger fan of ceviche or patterned leggings - or a more supportive friend, and all around life enthusiast. Also, the only person I know that’s sent ice cream to space! 🍦🌙⭐️ Grateful to be your friend, you are the Leslie Knope to my April Ludgate. You’re like the energizer bunny of creativity and positivity. Never a dull moment with you! Allllll the love ❤️ ✨

What's your favorite movie from your target language?
Give your examples! И хорошего вечера!🙂

Не переставайте учиться, развиваться. Не только ради оценок, а ради того, чтобы свободно владеть тем или иным языком и аргументированно вести абсолютно любой диалог. #polyglot
Is this notebook bent? This notebook is bent. Let's ignore that and move on 😂 Sooo, yesterday I had Japanese class and wrote down everything super fast, and, as you can see on the second picture, it's awful. Soo, what I did was write it down again in another piece of paper!
Now, I know what you are thinking: "Mikan, but why would you write it again? Just read it from the original!" Let me tell you why:
💕 By writing down things, it becomes easier to understand and remember them. During class, you can't really fully concentrate on learning, but on writing down as much as you can!
💕 When reviewing, it's gentler for the eyes (and the brain!) to have an organized structure rather than an all-over-the-place summary of what you have to learn
💕 You can stop and choose which words/structures you really need to study and which ones you already know and don't need to add to the new list 😊

Firstly let’s agree that having an accent is ok, you don’t have to speak like a native. Anyway, you can make your pronunciation clear enough so the natives will understand you without extra efforts.
Here are some tips to help you:
1️⃣Be aware of your mouth’s moves.
🇫🇷Most probably in the beginning you will speak with your native tongue habits that will make your French sound unnatural. Instead, it would be a better idea to practice new positions of your tongue and lips. Watch closely how natives speak and try to imitate them in front of the mirror.
2️⃣Train speaking sounds in groups.
🇫🇷Each week choose a group of French sounds that is the most difficult for you and practice pronouncing words that contain them.
3️⃣Read out loud in French.
🇫🇷Find a book interesting for you and read it slowly and consciously, carefully pronouncing each word. You may also try putting yourself on record so you can listen to your reading afterwards, to know what to correct.
4️⃣Find a native speaker on #Gledlingvo .
🇫🇷Speaking to natives is one of the most effective ways to improve your pronunciation. Ask your partner to correct your mistakes and watch how he or she talks. We have both audio and video chats.
5️⃣Learn tongue twisters.
🇫🇷If you can master them general French will become easier. Start pronouncing them slowly and carefully and increase your speed as you get comfortable with the sounds.
French isn’t called «the language of love» for nothing, it worth mastering.
