The birthday sale is happening! Smiling in the sunshine on my 39th birthday, during a little window in the clouds and rain. Other than that I’ve been on the computer getting everything organized for the birthday sale. So many things are marked down and organized if you use the navigation on my site - jewelry, original art and prints. You can click the link in profile and see all the sale items. If you get my newsletter you should have also gotten an email with the extra special codes. Items are marked down 10-60% off (some might even be more) The sale will be happening until the 24th. And new things may get added over the next week!
Despite the clouds and wind, the survey of this Hunter 39 happened serendipitously between the rains. Even squeezed in a little sail! #blustery

UPDATE: A sincere thank you to all of you who showed up for the reception and private viewings. It's been a special month. If you have not had the chance to see the exhibit here in Port Townsend at Northwind Arts Center, all ten pieces will be up for a little less than two more weeks, coming down on the 27th of this month.
Thank you for all the support and a big thank you to my patrons who have acquired prints in the past, from this exhibit, and in the future. You have kept the flame burning bright over these years. There is much to come in the near future, and i look forward to sharing more soon, while continuing to document the Pacific North West here in Washington.
I have been working all week making and rough grinding blanks in 8670 steel for heat treat. 8670 steel is most known for very high toughness, so I decided to play around making some larger blades. This is the largest knife/machete I have made yet with a 13” blade and 20” overall. It’s a little on the crazy side but I just started drawing a design on the steel and this is what I came up with.
I know I have seen designs like this before but I have no idea where. Should be fun to do some testing when it comes back.
