Here’s to new adventures! I’ll be starting a new job soon and leaving a place that brought some really great ppl into my life. It’s definitely not the same company and I’m very happy to be departing a very toxic environment. Think with a positive mind, believe in yourself and you can make the change happen! #newjob#newjobnewlife#newjobwhodis#newadventures#positivity#believeinyourself

Protecting your peace is a journey, which means it won't happen overnight. So be patient with yourself. Growth takes time! It will take time to figure out what works for you and what doesn't. It will take time to kick out old, toxic habits and implement new, healthier ones. It will take time to know yourself, what you like and don't like, what you can tolerate and what you won't accept... It will take time to de-clutter your life. It is not a process that should or could be rushed, so be patient with yourself. Don't be too hard on yourself. Don't judge yourself tooo harshly. You are doing great. You are not perfect and will never be, but God's grace is more than sufficient! You will battle with yourself at times and make some questionable choices and that's okay. Learn your lesson and do better. Just be patient with yourself and enjoy the journey. And remember why you're doing it and that it is all worth it! #Elsieville#ElsievilleDaily#DailyMessage#Positivity#Blessed#Purpose#BePatient#YouGotThis#ProtectingMyPeaceAll2019#LifeInElsieville#2DaysTo27#LibraSeason
Get rid of all the toxic people in your environment and surround yourself with people that are filled with love and generosity! When you surround yourself with people with the same mindset and that are eager to lift you up, you will grow and become the best version of yourself! #bestversionofyourself#positivity#personalgrowth

Posted @withrepost • @cristina_the_activist While activists sing love songs to cops, animal farmers and slaughterhouse workers, while we celebrate Arnold’s meat-free Mondays animals are trying to save themselves from cops, farmers, slaughterhouse workers and non-vegans like Arnold.
If your “food” is trying to escape getting into your mouth while you have other options, shouldn’t that be good enough of a reason for you to STOP and go vegan?
A 2011 World Health Organisation sponsored study found that 36% of Indians suffered from
a Major Depressive Episode (MDE) within their lifetime. That means India has the most number of
people in the world who suffer from some form of depression at some point in their lives. The social
pressure to be “normal” manifests in unhealthy stigma and pressure against getting help. Stigma to
appear normal. Stigma to keep the family drama invisible. Stigma to protect family honour. Stigma to
force yourself out of the need for help. Dr Shyam Bhat, one of India’s leading psychiatrists, bemoaned
the current state. “We’re still talking about shame, about stigma,” he said. “We have a long way to
go…to successfully address the challenges of getting quality mental health care in India.” Source: The Wire (@thewirein)
Okay, so! What did I learn today about myself? I am not a fan of the "sunset" colors on my eyelids. LMAO. I'm glad I did it, but I prolly won't do it again. Here is to my journey of self-discovery!

Made some Korean friends yesterday at Nathan Phillips Square. It was Korea Week.
I don’t know much about Korean pop culture and want to learn more, especially who these two characters are. (Let me know if you do.👇).
There’s also lot about the Korean culture that I want to learn about in general. Friends of mine introduced me to Korean food a few years ago (mmm Bibimbap 🤤🤤), and I’ve learned a couple of words here and there.
As an outsider, there’s something about Koreans and their culture that I admire. I have a feeling that it’s how Koreans know how to work hard and play hard. Of course I’m generalizing.
I’m looking forward to adding more to my Korean, putting more tasty food into me’belly, and to learning from Koreans. Can’t wait to discover more.
Love the diversity that is on our planet and in this city.
Do it for you. You’re the only person you need to make proud. And you should be proud. Because you’ve come a long way. Other people, their opinions and judgement, doesn’t matter. Do this for you. ✨ .

You will always be enough. The fact that you’re here is everything. The fact that you’re still getting up each day to face the world, even after all you’ve been through, is amazing. You’re so brave. And you’re so strong. I usually say “you’ve got this”, but I think you already know you do. ✨

Leave a “YES” if you will listen to my podcast on “What the Joker gets right and wrong about Mental Health”👇I saw the movie on the opening weekend. I went not as a comic book fan (even though I am), or a movie lover (which I am), but I went as a student of mental health. To see how the movie tackles this really important subject. The most powerful message I took away from the movie is our general lack of empathy and consideration towards others who are different from us. How we truly don’t know what battle someone is fighting internally. Even if it is invisible and we can’t see it externally we have to be so conscious and aware that everyone has a story, everyone has a past and everyone is going through something. Why not just be kind to others. Not only does that bring out the best in them, it brings out the best in us. Not because we’re scared they may become dangerous or harmful towards us, but because we don’t want to add to their pain, we don’t want them to be dangerous or harmful towards themselves. I go deep on this podcast about things the movie gets slightly confused too and I share 7 Habits we can adopt to better our mental health. PS You don’t have to have seen the movie to listen to this one.
