Was habe ich?
—————————————— #kneesurgery#postop#laufen#staystrong#staypositive#fitnessmotivation#bodyfit#bodyhealth#getbig#muskelaufbau#makinggains#gymgains#liftbig#bodytransformation#transformation#squatting#krafttraining#youcandoit#fitnessliebe#fitnessdeutschland#fitfam#fitfamgermany#fitjourney#fitnessprogress#trainingmotivation#workoutroutine#squats#squatspo#gymsession#exercises

My happy place!
This week was fucking chaos!!! There simple wasn't a spare second to think, breathe or rest in between the shit storm of life.
So this afternoon, even though I had a thumping headache, I didn't particularly feel like going out again, dealing with sand all through the house & car and the aftermath of washing, we went to the beach anyway.
No matter how much effort it is, an hour of fresh air, cool water & sunshine was just what the doctor ordered!
My most common encounter with scars is during my practice as a lymphatic drainage therapist on ladies who have suffered breast cancer and undergone mastectomy surgery. No one explains to them the need to have scar work done after surgery. Complaints would then include decrease in shoulder ROM, pain, stiffness of neck and upper back [affected side],numbness around axilla and arm area etc. All these are symptoms of improper care post-surgery.
Once a deep surgery is done, layers of skin, fascia and sometimes muscles are incised and proper healing would require all these layers to align back and to be provided the conducive environment for the healing to take place appropriately and effectively.During the process of healing there is inflammation around the scar area this includes pain, swelling, tenderness and redness. There could be pus production as well as other symptoms. All this is an attempt from the body to keep the scar clean and heal it in the best way possible. This is where cupping and its benefits come in.
Roles of cupping in scar healing include increased blood flow to the area which majorly assists in flooding the area with nutrients, Oxygen and inflammatory exudate vital for healing. Lymphatic drainage is extremely important as it detoxifys the area removing infectious material and allows faster healing. Myofascial release allows the layers of skin, fascia and muscle tissue to not be adhered to one another hence attaining a mobile and painless scar and preventing any compensatory patterns during movement. The gentle stretching provided by cupping allows the skin and muscles to be active and extensible throughout the healing process.Cupping as well promotes hydration to the tissues which has a number of benefits on its own. Other factors must be considered ofcourse e.g. diet, level of hydration, activity, age, underlying illnesses that may affect healing etc. If your surgery was years ago and you suffer discomfort, scar work can still be beneficial to you!

My partner and my biggest supporter ❤ he has found walking tracks in his city for us to do while I'm visiting this weekend. He isn't a fan of walks but knew it was important for me to keep up with them. No complaints about these views 😍
DAY 29 POST-OP:
Been a while since my last post but a whole heap has happened... The biggest news though - I've been given clearance to go back to work 🥳🥳
It's only for a week cause we have compulsory shutdown but YAY! I get to rejoin society... Met with my GP this week who gave me my surgery notes. Interesting to read (and I feel like I was told this but was too wasted to remember) that my surgery was not only difficult but the cyst was stuck to my uterus, abdominal wall and one of my ligaments... It also burst as they were trying to get it out so it's kind of a no wonder I was in so much pain all over following my surgery... All tests have come back clear too which is great. I also discovered that I had endometriosis which wasn't picked up because of the size of the cyst and is also the possible explanation behind our inability to have another baby in the 10 years that we were trying... We have our mokopuna now though so not too heartbroken... Recovery is awesome!! Happy to report that i'm feeling terrific...
. ** IN OTHER NEWS **
My Khyrie came home for a few days this week which I absolutely loved... Having him and his Mummy; my beautiful daughter was special... As for our Armahrlea, thanks to a successful job hunt, they are going to be living in the Far North which means they aren't coming home to us... Heartbreaking cause they will be so far away from us and we're missing our little girl terribly but are also happy her parents are both working and happy... That's the main thing... We can plan holidays up and for our lil lady to come home for holidays... I got my results from my first assignment back today... Got 82% so am happy!
Only 3 weeks left till I go back to crossfit... That's going to be such an exciting day for me... Can't wait!!

One of the most rewarding feelings of our job in dentistry is knowing that we have a positive impact on someone’s life. As technicians we rarely see the end result, so we massively appreciate receiving follow up pictures of patient smiles. Our patient had 10 upper teeth transformed to whiten, straighten and broaden his smile. We are very thrilled that he is happy with the result. Thank you to Dr Averley for great case management and information to deliver what the patient wants 🦷
What a week. Never a dull moment with my co workers/ team mates/ friends. I have laughed so hard i’m sure it has helped with recovery. Swelling seems to not be a pain point as much anymore as now dealing with stiffness and movement, but i’m gonna stay positive things will start turning the corner soon. Spending the weekend getting lots of rest and keeping my mind positive. I’m so done with recovery, but i know that’s not realistic with this surgery. I know i’m on the path leading to a beautiful destination! (Proud of myself for facing this crazy uncomfortable, insecure, and difficult journey- but i’m owning it and staying true to me through it at all). #doublejawsurgery#doublejawsurgeryjourney#postop#patience#feelingdefeated
Win started his Anat Baniel Method(ABM) intensive yesterday and has really been enjoying it. It’s 2x/day for 4 days. It’s the first time he’s doing ABM and it could not be more different from other therapies he’s done. It’s very gentle and Win is incredibly relaxed during it. He’s seeing Marcy Lindheimer and she’s working on “organizing” his body and movements. This is new to us - would love to hear from others on their ABM experiences!
Win is taking his time getting back on his feet and moving. He said he feels “all wobbly and not secure.” 🥴 I didn’t expect his recovery to be so physically taxing but fully supporting his 35 lbs + being very 🤰 has been a challenge. Hoping he feels more stable soon 🤞. #watchmewin#anatbanielmethod#spml#momistired
Watch as I perform lipo cavitation on myself to correct the indention that was caused from tying my scrubs in the same spot every day. Indentions can also be cause from wearing the improper size waist trainer and belts. • • •
You can order the lipo cavitation mobile machine (for fat and it sculpts) through the link in the bio. $200. Next business day shipping.
I'm feeling great over two months after #TopSurgery !! Sometimes I find not so old drawings of what I thought I'd look like, or diary entries abt my fears and excitements and I can't believe the wait is over. This is truly one of the best feelings there is, to hope for something impossible and have it happen, the post-op fog has passed and I can take new steps to keep bettering myself.
Surgery Post Op Appointment done ✔️—
Who would have thought just over two weeks ago this little girl underwent a 7-hour major surgery. Eden had her follow up today and it went so much better than we ever imagined it would. We were so worried about having Eden’s operation so close to Christmas. But thanks to the amazing work of her surgeon and all the incredible nurses and doctors at GOSH-who allowed us after just a short stay, to walk away with our little girl. To hear that Eden’s swelling is the normal side effect of her surgery and that she has had one of the best recoveries her surgeon has seen was the best Christmas Present we could wish for. Now pass me a drink 🥂 MERRY CHRISTMAS TO US ❤️🎄 #postop#greatormondstreet#gosh#greatormondstreethospital#pantherward#christmascelebration#cystichygroma#lmawareness#begrateful

Still hard to believe I made it to 155lbs and I’m literally half the person I was when I started this journey. •
Still working towards my goals for the end of the year, some of which have been harder than others...BUT I haven’t given up •
Keep transforming every day and don’t forget how far you’ve come ❤️ #TransformationTuesday

Day 5 post op.
No pain around my foobs this time round. Maybe I’m used to the discomfort since its the 3rd surgery already. But my thighs are hurting abit from bruising due to the fat grafting but it’s bearable. Doc did a small fats lipo from my thighs and injected them to my foobs. Yeah to slimmer legs! 😍
No more surgery for me! It’s been 6 months of treatments (surgeries & chemo). Finally I can focus on getting better and living well!
Looking forward to my future! 🌈

2 week post-op appt went fine.
I'm still very limited to what I can do and have to keep movements slow and careful. Not able to pick up anything heavier than a gallon of milk.
Steri-strips are still on the boobies but at least I'm in my compression garment (which is giving me total Marilyn Monroe vibes in the pointy booby kinda way). I got cleared to get my lymphatic massage on my arms so @salubrious_htx time to work on these babies.
This round of surgery has gone a lot easier as far as pain and discomfort but it's testing my patience just as much as last one. The down time is a little frustrating but I knew that going in.
For now I have to focus on protein and supplements to keep everything going smoothly and healing well.
Since I'm probably going to be asked (@low.carb.leslie knows what's up 😂), I had a breast explant with total capsulectomy, mastopexy and brachioplasty 2 weeks ago.

Vielen Dank an alle, die mit mir in diesem Jahr so fleißig trainiert haben 💓🏋️♀️
Wir sehen uns im neuen Jahr mit noch mehr Energie, Power und Motivation 💥
“In oceans deep my faith will stand!” Thankful today was my first workout post #explant I was able to run 🏃♀️ and do stairs! God is good the biopsy said I have no implant cancer and I don’t have #BII this whole scary thing has been a great learning lesson! Two capsule contracture & silicone leaks (and the fact the FDA recalled textured implants) is good enough for me to not want to put silicone in my body ever again! How scary is it to know I had silicone in my body so dangerous! The surgeon said It didn’t go into my mammary glads thankful for that bc I breast fed for two years! I’m just happy to be #healthy & have the dangerous textured silicone implants out! .
