3RM bench day. Ok, tried 150 got one rep. Tried 147 got two reps... waited then tried to get the third and nope. Didn’t want to move into my back off sets and ended up getting 145 for 3! Followed that up with 4x3 @ 135. @pdtrains with the spot.

Für mich gab's heute wieder die Achse in Pflicht bewusster Ergebenheit, in der Vorbereitung für meinen kommenden Wettkampf in Bremen.
An sich bin ich mit meiner Leistung mehr oder weniger zufrieden. Nach der Achse hab ich meine Schultern und die Brust noch mit Kurzhanteln bearbeitet. .

I think this was one of my first attempts squatting 140kg. I had never been coached, never heard of low bar, wore a body building belt and depth didn't even cross my mind. This was a struggle and it's very clear in the video, I remember laying down on the floor for 10 minutes after this single rep!
Two years later, I have a coach and probably one of the best in the business and more than I could have asked for in @5trong I've joined a new gym and taken up proper strength training @thestrengthfortress I've learnt the value of looking after your body, low bar is now life, I'm wearing a proper belt and understand the value of bracing during lifts and majority of the time the depth is there.
The second video is also 140kg, but it wasn't a struggle, I wasn't worried that I couldn't do it, I didn't cross my mind that is was going to be to hard, hell until I found this old video I had completely forgotten how heavy 140kg looked on my back.
It took me two years, two years to be able to squat what was one a single to three sets of five reps.
Sometimes you forget how far you've come and it's in these moments that you realize that all your hard work is paying off, day by day, brick by brick.
Here's to many more years of highs, lows and all the life gains along the way!

I love it when people make negative comments about how much time we spend lifting or how much of our life is spent on it or how I shouldn’t be lifting during pregnancy or how we shouldn’t allow our children to lift at such young ages. My response to them is always how much time can you actually say you have spent with your family without your faces in devices or obligations. We encourage each other to build confidence, achieve goals, and all the other positive effects it has on our lives. I may be missing something but I’m not sure how that could be seen as negative.

I don’t know how I always manage to not set the camera correctly for RDLs. I always chop the top of my head off. HOWEVER, I’m keeping it because my arm kind of looks like there’s some muscle there so BAAAAAM 💪🏻! Did 3x8 on RDLs @ 225 and 3x4 on box squats @ 205!
Did a mock meet with a friend today for fun. A little beat up from programming this week and hella sore but impressed myself with my lifts 🤗 • Back Squat 455# • Bench (Bro Lift) 295# • Deadlift (Sumo) 475# my hams and 🍑 said no mas / I couldn’t let @merrycruise and @mcpowerlifting do all the powerlifting today. You know what truly inspires people? Not a quote that gets regurgitated over and over that has no meaning. Someone or people who have actually gone through hardships. And not in the gym hardships unless it’s a serious injury. But actual hardships. Things people can relate to. Being at rock bottom having no where to go and rising from that. Not just deciding hey I’m going to pick up some weight and lift it. People who no matter what love throws at them continue to keep pushing forward. And no I’m not talking about little things either. Too many people out here are trying to be anyone but themselves. You don’t have to be an motivator. Just be yourself and I promise it’s good enough.

Not too shabby for my 3rd leg day this week 😅 I’ve been alternating high volume and low volume leg days and it’s made for some kickass lifts.
Today I tried lots of new things & learned a lot. I have always done accessories for my major lifts but never dabbled with these more targeted accessories. Definitely going to start working these in. Was able to identify where I’m weak & strong throughout my pull.
3 years ago I was copying “gymshark booty workouts” I saw on instagram, today I’m copying powerlifting workouts I saw on instagram 🤓
Tried this workout & it was fun ⬇️
1. deadlifts: worked up to 3x2x325 followed by 3 backdown sets of 3x275
2. rack pulls: 3x3x375
3. hamstring curl: 2 sets of 8 followed by 2 sets of 12 1&1/4 reps
4. GHR: 4x15
5. Deficit RDLs? (on pit shark): 4x8...need to work more double overhand because I have no grip strength
What a night! I woke up and it’s kind of sunk in that Iv finally broken 20m. Just a quick post to say thank you so much for all the messages, comments, likes, and most of all support you have all shown! I have finally broken 20m but that’s not to say I’m finished. I am already looking ahead at what I can do to achieve the 21m barrier and beyond! It’s amazing what you can do with hard work, patience, perseverance and huge will power to prove people wrong! By no means am I settled, but it’s one hell of an exciting time for me! I’m exciting to see what happens from here, where I go from here and what I can achieve! Thanks again!
