The remnants of another old prayer strand from the Himalayas. Blue tigereye, Peking yellow glass, and bone beads from the storeroom of an old monastery. Sourced in the 1990’s, this mixed batch came as part of a de-acquisition of items in an effort to raise funds to help out the elders. #old#prayer#beads#Tibet#life#love#abeadaday
Stand up and praise the LORD your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting. Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise. 🙏🏼

Faith is tricky. Sometimes we have to look for God in the fog. It’s easy to have faith when you can see things clearly and life is “good”. Just like it is easy to see the sun when it rises in the sky. When it’s shining that bright, you can’t deny it. But in the moments when the sun disappears behind the clouds, how do you know it’s still there?
Jesus was right there on the shore when the disciples looked over from their fishing boat, but at first, they didn’t recognize Him. God has promised to be with you always, so choose to trust his promise, even when you can’t sense the reality of His presence with you.
In the midst of our struggles, our faith gets tested. Whether it’s relationships or illness, work or finances, loss or grieving, stresses continue to come and go. They work themselves into our lives, and can take away our joy and contentment.
Sometimes I have to remind myself that even if the sun is behind the clouds, it’s still shining. And, even if I can’t see God’s hand in my situation, it doesn’t mean He doesn’t hear me and isn’t working on my behalf.
Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to promise.
Wearing heels :
It's not permissible to wear heels outside home where non mahrams can see you, there are reasons why scholars may say that high heel shoes are not permissible for wear in public
1) The noise they make attracts attention.
Allah subhanahu wa taala say: ( let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment.) Surat Al Noor 31
2) They make the hips sway; attracting attention.
the Prophet (salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “There are two types of the people of Hell that I have not seen yet: men with whips like the tails of cattle, with which they strike the people, and women who are clothed yet naked, walking with an enticing gait, with something on their heads that looks like the humps of camels, leaning to one side. They will never enter Paradise or even smell its fragrance...) Sahih Muslim
The Eight Auspicious Symbols Mala is now posted in my Etsy shop. I initially decided to keep it for myself yet hardly meditated with it or wore it. This one is meant to be loved, not live on a hook. 🙏🏼

Tips for turning inwards...
1. Prayer & Meditation.
2. Write yourself a love letter.
3. Write gratitude lists. There's always something to be grateful for. You just need to look for it.
4. Take 5 deep breaths.
5. Forgive yourself.
6. Limit social media use, as this encourages you to turn outwards, by watching the lives of others.
If anyone has any other tips please feel free to add them below.
O woman, great is thy faith.—The answer of the woman changed the conditions of the problem, and therefore, we may reverently add, changed the purpose which depended on them. Here again, as in the case of the centurion, our Lord found a faith greater than He had met with in Israel. The woman was, in St. Paul’s words, a child of the faith, though not of the flesh, of Abraham (Romans 4:16), and as such was entitled to its privileges. She believed in the love of God her Father, in the pity even of the Prophet who had answered her with words of seeming harshness.
Be it unto thee even as thou wilt.—St. Mark adds, as spoken by our Lord, “Go thy way, the devil is gone out of thy daughter,” and that when the woman went to her house, she found her child laid on the bed, calm and peace and slumber having taken the place of restless frenzy.
It is obvious that the lesson of the story stretches far and wide. Wherever man or woman is by birth, or creed, or even sin, among those whom the judgment of the heirs of religious privileges counts unworthy even of the lowest of spiritual blessings, among outcasts and heirs of shame, the excommunicated and the lost, there the thought that “the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs” may bring, as it has often brought, the faith that changes despair into something not far short of the full assurance of hope. *Elliot Commentary*
ROUTINE VS. RITUAL |
Before my world fell apart in July 2015, I was very much tied to a numbing routine. I was in business school, completing an internship at Canada's largest telecommunications firm. I would often be at the office shortly after 7, and my days were filled with near- infinite rows & columns of numbers. I had a lot of structure to my day but very little ritual.
Now, my healing has required me to slow down. to anchor into the sweet present moment and connect deeper to myself and God. As consequence, I've found ritual to become a sacred part of my life
How do I define RITUAL? For me, it's a sacred action taken with deliberate, conscious intent to connect. It can be something I engage in many times over, or an activity I participate in only once. What's important is the intention + presence I bring to the experience. I like to think of ritual as soul vitamins
Every month I like to honor the full moon and engage in ritual. This looks different every time. Sometimes it's sage smudging, sometimes it's prayer. Last Friday it was a rose bath with essential oils, followed by acknowledging all that no longer serve and lighting match to it. watching it turn to ash and giving gratitude for release 🙏
What are some of your Rituals? - Full moon or otherwise. I'd love to hear them 💖 Comment below 👇👇👇👇
P.s it's warm water mixed with shilajit + honey in the glass 😏
