Italy has been on my mind constantly for the past few weeks; SCROLL TO SEE THE BEAUTY➡️➡️➡️➡️I was lucky enough to spend 22 days this time last year traveling from Venice down the Adriatic Sea to Sicily and Malta, waking up almost every day in a new city. It felt like home. The first pic is of me and our guide Flo @apollojacobs, I adore her and worry so much about her and her family in Bari. I will go back someday and I can’t wait to hug her in person!! Pray for Italy, pray for us all🇮🇹❤️🌈 These photos were taken in Venice, Burano, San Marino, Alberobello, Ravenna, Bari, Matera, Sicily and Malta❤️ #prayforitaly#prayforus#vivaitalia

I’ve gotta take a minute..... so bare with me.
❤️ thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to all my beautiful friends who have reached out for the last 2 days to make me smile after receiving some very sad news. You all have no idea just how much it means. ❤️ to all the people who have BEEN messaging me and Johnny to say that our silly ass shenanigans have lifted their spirits and sent us some truly heart felt thoughts. We love you so much. ESPECIALLY those we know working in health care here and abroad. ❤️One of the main points we’ve been trying to stress is just how vital it is to stay home if you are able (I understand there are some not able too and I have unwavering admiration for those of you going to work to keep this ship afloat for us all) but now more than ever I PLEASE stress to you. Stay home if you can.
❤️ there are amazing things happening online right now! Live yoga and dance classes , mass group meditation, dj’s doing live sets in their living rooms, friends of ours sending out reiki healing from their home to you, group online game nights. It’s so incredibly beautiful to see. And I hope for you all you never feel alone.
❤️ nurture what your good at right now! Even if what your best at is petting your cat and taking back to back bubble baths. For me and Johnny ... we are entertainers and if we no longer have a stage. We’ve chosen to make our living room our stage and we’re so happy it’s helped so many of you on the more dark days. I promise .... we’re gonna keep being absolute idiots for ya’ll.
❤️ please everyone stay home and stay safe. To my sweet baby ‘chi-chi/ chooch/ lil cuz.... sleep well baby girl. Sherway mob for life!! I’ll catch you on the other side for some cheesecake again ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ #stayhome#prayforitaly
My mind & heart are consumed with thoughts of Italy🇮🇹 I have never visited anywhere in the world where I felt instantly welcomed in, like I did by the people of this extraordinary country.
Each city and small town felt like going home. Everything about it was familiar in the most whimsical sort of ways. My heart ❤️ made an instant connection.
To our beautiful, courageous, friends & loved ones over there, we surround you with our prayers, wrap you in love & bathe you in the light of heaven.
Amore e Luce
Baci e abbracci
Andrá tutti bene.
Swipe to enjoy a few of the many memories through my lens.
“In previous wars, the people would die for Italy to live. In this war, Italy would die for the people to live” 🇮🇹 Throwback to when I visited Italy in July... It’s so disheartening to see one of the most popular country is on the brink of permanently shutting down in the face of the current pandemic. Can’t help but wonder if the US will face similar fate... #stayhome#prayforitaly

The solitude speaks louder than thousands words...
Scrolled through my photo collections and found this old pic from 2017 at one of many canals in Venice. I was there during the La Befana festival so the city was really packed with tourists and it’s hard to find the canals without gondolas or people.
Who would think 3 years later this pic’s rehappening again?
Remembering my fave city in Italy, Venice, and the memories within.

“I took this picture a year ago, walking around Milan in via Montenapoleone, the fashion street. I didn't take this picture because in the window I saw Giorgio Armani fixing a dummy, I took this picture to capture a man and his passion, who despite having thousands of employees and could spend his days in the Caribbean, he was there dressing up his mannequin, alone. Today, the same man transforms his factories to make disposable scrubs for doctors. YOU ARE NOT GREAT FOR HOW MUCH MONEY YOU HAVE, YOU ARE GREAT FOR WHAT YOU DO!” (via Stefano Scalia on FB)

“And Jesus wept.” - Jn 11:35
30,433 deaths and counting.
30,433 people and counting.
Mothers. Fathers. Sisters. Brothers. Grandparents. Friends. People—not statistics.
Lazarus was not a statistic. They, we are more than tally marks.
And aren’t we all weeping? And aren’t we all broken? We are knee-bent and heart-sore and reeling. We run out like Mary, fall at the feet of God, crying, “Lord, why?” Why, when you could have prevented all of this did you let this man die? This man. This woman. This mother, father, brother, sister, grandparent, friend.
Because it’s not the scale. It’s the individuals that make up the scale. All the individual Lazaruses slain by this disease that’s twisted the whole planet inside out. The scale means something, because *they* have meaning. Every single life. Every one is a Lazarus. Every one is worth weeping over.
Now 30,880. And counting.
Do we still believe in resurrection? Are we waiting even now with bated breath for Him to roll away the stone? We cannot know what glory He means to ignite from this darkness, but can we believe it is coming?
These words? Are my fingers reaching through the distance. If you’ve lost your faith in this grief, borrow mine. Hold on. I don’t know how long this will last, but I believe He is stronger than our doubts, stronger than our fear, stronger than our grief.
I believe the light is coming. I believe He is the Light. But right now He is weeping. So, let us weep with Him.
