What is the first thing that comes to mind when we hear the word treat? 🤔 For most of us it's sweets, chocolate etc. I try to disassociate the word treat with food particularly unhealthy foods. What most people call 'goodies' we call 'baddies'
At home these are some of the treats the kids get or it can be a day out a trip to the park. The kids get to pick something from the treat bag when they have been good etc. This morning a pack of Disney character cards kept them entertained for about 30 mins, but that was peace and I could race around the house dling a few jobs.
Doctors found that exercise increases the immune system by increasing cells in the body that attack Virus. It turns out that these cells work more slowly in people who don't exercise than in people who do. So if you exercise, your immune system will be well-maintained, and you will be able to fight the virus well when you're sick.
Exercising a few times a week is enough to boost your immune system with exercise. Studies show that people who exercise are 50% less likely to fall sick in a year compared to people who don't exercise. Let's all train together to strengthen our immune system! 🤗

Vissulega eru mjög margir sem koma til okkar með einhverskonar verki/vandamál og það knýr það í að koma, en þegar öllu er á botninn hvolft, er kírópraktík að fara hjálpa líkamanum þínum að virka betur, með betri samskiptum á milli heila og líkama. Þetta virkar einnig á fyrirbyggjandi hátt sjáiði til.
Þá komum við að vellíðunar skalanum 👆. Flestir eru að dóla í kringum miðjuna, fá kannski aðeins í bakið eftir bumbuboltann, crossfit, að taka upp barnið sitt eða eftir 8 tíma við skrifborðið, en það fer kannski yfir á 3 dögum, ekkert mál. Margir sem svo koma eru komnir nær vinstri kanntinum, með verki sem eru farnir að hafa áhrif á daglegt líf, en svo eru örfáir sem eru á hægri kanntinum sem koma til að láta athuga hvort eitthvað meigi bæta og til að líða betur. Það finnst mér alltaf mjög gaman að sjá 👍
Það sem kírópraktík gerir fyrir þig, sama hvar þú ert á þessum skala, er að koma þér lengra til hægri á skalanum. Meiri vellíðan, meiri hreyfing, minni stífleiki, meira flæði í stoð/taugakerfið, meiri vitneskja um líkamann þinn, minni vöðvaspenna, minni verkir (ef þeir eru til staðar) og hreinlega betri samskipti á milli heila og líkama! 🧠 .
Vertu á undan vandamálinu, áður en það kemur í bakið á þér! 👊

#Mucositis is a common and feared complication of anticancer therapy that can affect up to 9️⃣0️⃣%of certain populations of patients with cancer. Even seemingly uncomplicated mucositis, which is often self-limited, can result in intense patient discomfort and decline in quality of life. Severe mucositis can be complicated by uncontrolled pain, superinfection or systemic infection, bleeding, and dehydration, and severe mucositis can lead to interruptions or de-escalation in anticancer treatment, resulting in worse oncologic outcomes. So last night I ran my first real food workshop/talk since moving countries. It's actually been almost four years since I did my last cuisine demonstration! I had our third child, stayed home with him for three years, we moved countries....Lots of self doubt set in, but thankfully I have started to take steps to get back in to what I'm passionate about, what things I can share with the people around me...and it felt great! Last night we were a small intimate group of women, friends who wanted to support me and who left he workshop feeling inspired and empowered to make better food choices. I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to share my knowledge and hope this is the beginning of many more workshops to come. #realfood#worshop#nutrition#eattherainbow#plantbasedeating#justeatrealfood#selfdoubt#returntowork#prevention

When you stretch your Achilles and calf the Achilles tendon is moved towards the bone at the back of the heel. If you have an Achilles problem, this can compress the tendon and therefore irritate your symptoms. Think of it as having a bruise and pressing on it.⠀⠀
Read more : https://buff.ly/2Gmudp5⠀
Stretching the calf and Achilles used to be a very popular exercise to prescribe for people with Achilles Tendinopathy and Tendinitis. Research has indicated that stretching might not be such a good idea in the first instance. This is not to say that once the Achilles symptoms have improved it can’t be reintroduced.⠀⠀
One of the most important treatments for an Achilles tendinopathy / tendinitis is load management or relative rest. Load is placed on an Achilles tendon when we run and use the tendon, but also when it is in a compressed position – for the Achilles this is when the foot is pulled back towards you (dorsiflexion). Therefore, when treating an Achilles tendinopathy / tendinitis we need to look at this compression component as well as how much running / sport / activity you do. All of this load/activity should be modified whilst your symptoms settle and the strengthening exercises make the Achilles, calf and rest of your leg / trunk more robust. Once your symptoms have settled, all these activities (including stretching) can be slowly reintroduced. It is important that this is done on an individual basis as we all have different starting points and end goals. ⠀⠀

ANGER | THE hardest emotion to try not to react to, especially when your environment is not kind. | However, there is a way & trust me anger only hurts you & prevents you from change👇
WE ALL experience anger, angry because you've feel hurt, feel let down, unheard, abused, a victim, its hurts, you don't want to feel bad, you perceive an injustice, etc.
It's normal to feel angry when you are experiencing these thoughts.
The moment we get angry it's VERY easy to react, which then begins a chain of events, all negative, that impacts past your own emotions & on to others. Actions & events that you cannot change after.
Ever sent that text
Said those words
Or even worse gotten violent?
& THEN.......calmed down.
All that happened on a strike of emotion that passed. But in the mean time you passed that emotion onto another. Did they deserve all that!? Did it make you feel better? Or actually would it of helped you more to have been understood?
Instead of now, another perceiving you to be bad, toxic? When actually you wanted to be understood
I am hurting
I am upset
I am in pain
I feel unheard
I have been abused
I feel like I am not enough
No one listens to me
I am alone.Etc.
The ISSUE is Anger has meaning. When a person is angry instead of communicating what really needs to be said, its unsaid. Instead we hear.
This isnt safe
I feel violated
IT'S a circle HURT PEOPLE HURT!
Get out of the circle
When you notice you're angry*takes practice.
1st time you may be too late, 2nd, you may spot it in time butstill react, 3rd you may notice & catch it before reacting. It's 100%a practice
If you must, get out of the situation immediately. Leave.
Count to 100.Try not to react, you have time.
Take some deep breaths
When anger passes ask yourself what did I mean to say? Be honest
Ask yourself to relook at the situation, did I perceive this right, with facts or am I guessing the worst case scenario because of my past experiences?
Have I validated past pain?
Can I do that alone?
Do I need some guidance?
Where could I get that?
What's out there for me?
I am in control of finding help

WE CAN ALL LEARN EMOTIONAL SOLUTIONS | To replace the unhelpful automatic LEARNED reactions. 👇
UNLESS you have had some great emotionally well managed influences & have been shown through teaching or just by watching how they did it.
Emotional management is like walking in the dark.
Plus if you have had environments & situations in your past that really challenged your wellbeing, emotional & physical safety, then how were you supposed to navigate that with, age, with no good influence, probubly with people that were emotionally struggling themselves?
Then emotional management seems like walking in the dark with jelly for shoes.
It looks impossible, it will feel impossible!
Not because you're not capable, because you're silly, because you're toxic, because you're broken, because there's no hope, because there no possibility you can learn & change BUT, solely because you have not seen it being practiced in close proximity, you need to be shown a few times, & you have no idea there's a way.+ sometimes no belief that you could, because you may now beleive all of the above negative thoughts.
Are they true? No. You & everyone on this🌎is capable. You only have to CHOOSE to want to, to give yourself a chance you have never had, to action anything that will get you 1mm closer to it.
LEANRNED Reaction-sometimes not helpful
HEALING Response-a new belief
👉ACTION-The emotions, only I am feeling them, i validate that this is a tough feeling, I can empathise with others & at the same time acknowledge that I am feeling hurt. I allow that to happen, I release✒🗣the words & the tears to pass.
👉Even if I have to pretend, I can be the parent I need, doesn't mean my parents were bad, it means only I know what I am in need of, i will allow my parent voice to stick up for my needs, like I would someone I love, i am my child. I will plan for my need to be met, look for how I can do that & action it.Other to do's can WAIT.
👉I can acknoledge my feelings & needs without fighting for them & with kindness, say no thankyou, my parentis in charge.
👉Im dont know if theyll listen or not, i can practice joining the conversation❤

Last week, our clinical herbalist addressed the coronavirus outbreak including tips to help ward off and manage a viral illness with herbs. Incorporating immunomodulant, immune stimulant, and antiviral herbs can help to build, protect, and support your immune system in the long-run. 🌱
Immunomodulants support immune function and can be used to keep your immune system humming. These are a great idea throughout the cold and flu season. Choose from among herbs that are generally considered safe, such as tonic herbs with this action. Keep in mind immunomodulant and tonic herbs are valued for gentle, general, and slow, long-term benefits, and are not considered an emergency response or any kind of cure. One great category to look to for ongoing support is the immunomodulant mushrooms that are generally safe and may improve the immune system’s function: reishi, turkey tail, and maitake. Antiviral herbs like Elder (Sambucus nigra, S. canadensis, or S. cerulea) berry and licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) can also be helpful during cold and flu season. Elder in particular, 📷photographed here by @dr.ashleyturner, is a gentle antiviral herb that has been called upon as a longstanding folk remedy during outbreaks of the flu. 🌿
Let’s say that you have no choice but to engage in air travel, or you work in an environment with sick people. In addition to conventional wisdom, is there anything more one can do?! Herbs called immune stimulants are believed to temporarily increase a non-specific response called surface immune activation. Echinacea (Echinacea spp.) and garlic (Allium sativum) are familiar immune stimulant herbs to consider! 🌱
Stop on over to our blog for our Coronavirus Scare article for more herbs and tips for warding off and managing a viral illness! Link to the blog is in our profile! .
ANXIETY CAUSE | The unrealistic belief that I CAN & should balance everything | when actually I do have to decide to put some things down.
🙋♀️It's up to me.
I can keep telling myself "I've got this"
Keep the pressure on
Try to do 10 things, whilst feeling overwhelmed & stretched, anxious.
Or really take a look at what can go, just for the moment, what's the priority at the moment?
& do 3 things well, whilst feeling in control
🤔HOW DO YOU?
It starts with awareness.
That there are too many things going on.
A life changing time in your life that brings love, joy, & so much responsabily along with it.
HOW many of us still try to juggle the way we've always done things & be a brilliant parent. Something has to go & it's not the baby.
Life has changed so it needs a sit down look at what has changed, what are the prioritys NOW, what can go off the to do list that would help you out during this period. Less pressure!.
🌱Once you are aware of the situation you can start to let go of what's not serving you from the past & what is the priority for the future.
The priority is not to show I am able to juggle 300 things, it's to self manage & put my life into it's helpful priorities & my wellness is one of them.
Balance not struggling, youre in controp fo you, you choose, you decide, you act.
Anxiety is very much physical not just mental. As a matter of fact many people confuse their symptoms for a medical condition but when they take care if their mental health it ends up taking care of the physical as well. ——————————————————————————
Everyone experiences anxiety but it might differ in severity or manifestation. One of the challenges I see as a therapist is that people are lacking awareness of what’s really going on inside of them. ——————————————————————————
A lot of people come to me uncertain why they feel stuck and why they feel body pains but as we dig deeper we find a lot of self doubting thoughts, high expectations, worries, restlessness, insomnia. All of these sign of... anxiety. ———————————————————————————
What we do in therapy is identify feelings and thoughts. Especially the ones that come right before we start to feel bad, we identify patterns, we find new ways to relate to our thoughts and emotions, and then we develop tools that we can implement every day that lead to a reduction in symptoms.

#phytotherapie#aromatherapie#phyto#naturopathie#plantes#pollen#allergies#allergie#pharmacie#dietetique#nutrition#micronutrition#prevention#developpementpersonnel#regime#reequilibragealimentaire#lyon#homme#marseille#coach#pnl#printemps#soleil#fleurs#huilesessentielles#complementsalimentaires#sante#santenaturelle#naturopathe#femme
