Brukseilas is a Brussels based creative studio. The past months they’ve been working on some exciting new products! Go check them out if you would like to be among the first to purchase one of their limited batch of marble serving plates, inspired by the love for Brussels.
I’m proud of the clean wordmark I designed for them. The simplicity of this customized typeface gives the brand a timeless feel.
Is your fire alarm out of battery? Should you develop a fire alarm that automatically lowers itself down when out of battery? At the low position, it is impossible to miss and very easy to switch the battery. With a fresh battery, it should raise itself back up.
Is this the idea that will secure even your great-grandchildren's future??
Samsung’s automatic dry cleaning wardrobe removes 99% bacteria and is finally on sale! Watch & swipe 👉
What is your most hated chore in quarantine? For me, it is definitely laundry and while folding my clothes I think about this AirDresser – an innovative wardrobe designed to steam, deodorize and sanitize clothes without putting them through a washer-dryer cycle. The wardrobe has space for 6 hanging garments and includes a set of weighted hangers for helping pull the wrinkles out. It is safe to use for suits, woolen clothes, knits, down, fur, leather, and denim. The Sanitize Cycle program uses high-temperature steam which can remove 99% of common bacteria and dust mites. It also includes a deodorizing filter that takes care of smells (more important if you live in a humid climate) and a heat-pump drying cycle that avoids shrinking. This way the clothes are cleaned more efficiently and avoids the damage when you put them in the usual machines. Also safe to clean babywear (definitely a lot of cycles there!), toys, and even bedding. The traditional washer-dryer ties my bedsheet into such knots and we all know ‘entanglements’ aren’t good (right, Smiths?).
Control the AirDresser with an app by connecting it to WiFi. It comes with preprogrammed cycles for items like jackets, t-shirts, school uniforms, and sweaters to eliminate guesswork. Additionally, there’s also something called Samsung SmartThings integration which means you can store presets, get maintenance, water-change alerts, see energy status and get real time cycle notifications. You can use the touch-sensitive control panel on the front of the door for all functions. Who needs the Narnia wardrobe when you get this one that does your laundry!

Camp in these teardrop-shaped tents which are very on brand for 2020! No, not because we are sad, but because it encourages sustainable travelling and keeps the gatherings small! Swipe 👉
You can find these unique tents in the Borgloon forest in Belgium if you are looking for a safer alternative to the usual touristy destinations. Designed by the Dutch artist Dre Wapenaar, these 'Tranendreef’ tree tents blend architecture and sculpture into one functional structure. The tent hangs above the ground and guests use a ladder to get inside/outside. They are low-impact and promote sustainable tourism as the pathway they are on also leads to the Castle of Hex. Originally erected as part of a public art project called ‘Pit’ (organized by Z33), it brought art into the public space of Borgloon. The designer also created ‘field furniture’ -seating, washing, toilet and BBQ units to complete the camping site with the tents.
If this tent was a song, I think it would be Summertime Sadness - yes?
