Salzburg is absolutely amazing! We have been to Christmas Markets in Antwerp Belgium, Munich Germany, and then here in Salzburg, Austria. I have to say Salzburg’s was by far the best market we have seen. What a beautiful city filled with narrow cobblestone streets, restaurants, and shops to explore. In addition to that the town squares and courtyards were filled with Christmas Market booths, Christmas trees with lights and decorations everywhere. Truly magical!! .
Today we took The Sound of Music bus tour to see locations from the movie. .
I’m working on this little green and yellow pastoral landscape and this is a little sneak peek of that.
With the Studio under construction because of flooding from the upstairs baseboard heat I’m working in the dining room. A long time ago I realized the brilliance of colors under white light and I wanted to share an illustration of it! #painting#light#color#intensity#quaint#pastoral
This precious little angel had fun leaving her mark on grandmas mirror and swiping packages from the little mailbox. She’s the only one that can getaway with such behavior.😂😍 Hope everyone has a great weekend!
A Soviet flat rests, sunken in a field of nature in the middle of town.
Walking through this field, you wouldn't know you're in the middle of Plungė unless you looked at a map. It amazes me that this latch of greenery was able to remain even as the area around it developed and reconstructed in the past few decades. This is the view my grandparents have from their flat. They said children used to play in the field during the summer and bring their sleds in the wintertime. Though it's empty except for the few travelers who maintained stomped paths through the area, it's a beautiful reminder of the nature that were part of in a place you wouldn't expect to find so much of. Cities offer an immense number of opportunities; allowing nature to converse with their inhabitants within their structured landscape would only add to those opportunities. People would have a place to relax, that wouldn't just be a sad park with two trees and a playground lined with volatile rubber grounds. Birds and other animals would have a haven to remain in. Air quality would be monitored by the greenery and would therefore be much better. And people like me would have the ability to stumble through tall grass and flowers and confuse themselves as they think how nature and city can exist so connected. We can make it so that in the future this isn't confusing at all.
It’s Friday 🙌🏼 and that means time to show you another cute listing on the market. Saw this updated little cottage in the Milcreek area when I was searching the MLS for a client. If you like to be close to shopping, fun restaurants and quaint little bars, this is the perfect area. Not to mention it has the cutest brick beam by the kitchen, which gives it a POP of fun! There is something about this place that makes me feel so warm and happy inside! 💜
