They call me Ms. Tookes, mama Tookes, and some just call me mama. My first two years of teaching weren’t the easiest, but classroom management and building rapport with my students has never been an issue for me. Primarily because my first priority is building relationships.
I focus on getting to know my students, their likes, interests, their home life, etc. It prevents me from making statements like “I’m going to call your mom if you don’t listen”. Every student does not have a mother or father figure for various reasons. Or telling them that I would send them to the office when their motive was to get out of class all along because they wanted to shut down versus complete their assignments.
As I started learning more about my students, I was able to gauge how to adapt my instruction to meet the needs of ALL my students. There is no one size fits all approach when it comes to teaching. Even though the school system is set up that way.
I will be using this platform to show how I build relationships, differentiate instruction, and engage students in learning.
Crazy how life can change to fast. Now time to completely explore who I am and be the queen everyone has been saying I am lately. Get ready everyone Im entering not only a new chapter but a whole new book.
Happy 80th birthday Ringo 🙌❤🎊
✨Ringo Starr may be known to many as "the drummer in the background" but first of all he has the COOLEST name of all the Beatles 😍.
✨Secondly he is responsible for making everyone see the drummer "as an equal participant in the compositional aspect" 👊 .
✨Third, in 2011, Ringo was named the fifth-greatest drummer of all time by the Rolloing Stone magazine.
✨Also, Ringo and Paul are the only two living members of the Beatles (who are still doing their solo music without feeling the need to continue under the banner of The Beatles + .... without John Lennon and George Harrison.) #respect ❤❤
👉P.S. The way Ringo looks at Freddie... 😩
