Now that things are progressing again, I find myself having to get more technical in my training. Small details are hard to clean up. So I'm taking a step back and focusing on location specific markers.
I hoping by being able to send her to a reward behind her, it will help with the forging in her positions. Now that she remembers the concept, I'm going to start using higher arousal rewards (aka toys)
Cleaning up Norm's front finish! Her front is totally acceptable for mondio, but I would like it to look a little cleaner. Right now, I'm working on getting her comfortable with getting close to me. Once she's super comfortable getting close to me (she's only weird in a front finish, she usually has no issue with it), I will be more picky about her actual position and whether or not she's fully on the sit box. .
Some very good progress made this weekend. Her grip is getting better, we're finally figuring out how her possession buttons work, and we're getting closer to getting her back on the suit. I think trialing in June is a real possibility!
Not a great night tonight. This was her best bite before we decided to end things because she just wasn't into it (and wasn't even into obedience). Tomorrow is another day and hopefully it's a bit more successful than today.
Onix’s first trip to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival was a success! He got to stop and smell the tulips and enjoy walking through the fields. There was a lot going on and he was on his best behavior! 😍👌
