We are very happy to announce that Footsteps will start broadcasting podcasts. The first topic will be about education. Of course there is room for questions and comments. We will try to include as many of these questions as possible in our broadcast.
Frequent Asked Question Before People Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro😊
1️⃣Why do we make the final ascent in the pre - dawn darkness🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♀️
Most groups will start for the summit on ascent day at 11 PM to 12:30AM, depending on the perceived fitness of the group, the weather and the route. The pre-dawn hours, while cold, are also the calmest and clearest. The best views from the summit are at dawn. Often clouds and high winds develop not long after sunrise making the summit much less attractive and the descent more difficult. Guides who have been to the summit scores of times report that it is very rare to find it cloudy at the summit at dawn in any season. The ascent day is a very long day of hiking. Some people may require 15 hours to reach the summit and descend to the campsite for that day.

We also have other Kilimanjaro groups in almost every month this year that anyone can definitely join!😉
It is often that I wonder what my purpose is. I think a lot of people, including myself, struggle with purpose. Finding your purpose is supposed to bring you joy and fulfillment, but if what you are doing brings you joy and happiness but you don't feel fulfilled, is that a sign of not finding your purpose? This is kind of where I am now. I have a job that I really like, I have students I enjoy and even cherish. But there is a hole that is not being patched, I fear it may not be possible in my current situation. I also think everyone has a similar problem. Maybe it is just a part of living, having a void. Sure, it is a little troublesome, maybe it is just something we all need to carry ourselves and in our own way. Finding my own way is something I may never accomplish. If I can get ninety percent there, perhaps it will be enough. // #nature#natureofjapan#moon#perspective#life#dawn#fear#questions#why#alittlehappiness#when#will#it#stop
There doesn't always need to be a right or wrong. Believe it or not, some things are just based on opinions and beliefs and there isn't a right or wrong! You can either argue and try to change others opinions, and possibly also become frustrated in the process. Or, you can accept that someone has a different opinion to you and move on knowing that your opinion is no less right or wrong than theirs. If there's literally no solid evidence to say one opinion is right, then both are technically right. For example, if someone says they believe in fairies but you don't, there's nothing to say that fairies don't actually exist just like there's nothing to say they do so how can either of you say you're right? .
And on that note, check out my latest blog post which in ways ties into this. It's all about the generation blame game that we so often play... Where one generation points blame or insults another... .
