Today my most special moment was hearing the words ..."this is Linda, my wife" 🥰
It's the first moment since being married I truly got to appreciate those words, it was a "in the now" moment when I realised, yes I am and yes this is our honeymoon 🌻
Life will throw you challenges, try not to let these challenges distract you from the truth...It hasn't felt much like marriage until now but that's unrealistic as marriage is about "for better and worse"...It's time to embrace the better🍹
Memory2 • fishing on the reef behind the motu in Muri was a frequent thing for me, my nana and I would paddle out to the reef, anchor out and find a spot to cast our line. usually she’d leave me to it and wander off to find an octopus or something but was always within ear shot. Every time I’d pull up a fish I could feel her looking to me to see if I’d bag it without losing it. Sometimes I felt sorry for a fish and would let some go 😂 .

No words, just weird noises type of food🤤 😎🐔🥗Soulful chicken Salad🥗🐔😎 Moist yet super crispy buttermilk fried chicken, herby potato salad (yass!), honey mustard vinegarette dressed salad and a light harissa aioli dipping sauce. Pure bliss, soul food with a twist. Yum. 🖤
Learning how to squat again after a very long time of thinking I was squatting with proper form. Did some research around squats and found that breaking first at the hips would be more natural. When you think about it before we take a seat on a chair we naturally break first at the hips before sitting down, instead of sitting straight down in an upright position which for me feels unnatural and it throws my balance out of form.
Tested this squat form out with 5kg plates per side, form felt strong as the weight was sitting more on my heels. Which in turn created a more solid foundation to control the weight in a straight up and down motion. The descend felt steady and the ascension felt strong as power was coming mainly from the hamstrings.
When doing barbell squats I like to keep the bar below my traps (Low bar) as this feels like a more natural solid position. Imagine a spring coil, as you apply pressure it builds up power, and as you release that pressure it creates an explosive motion very similar to squats.
Hit a pb of 120kgs 1rep max and I couldn't be any happier as it felt smooth on the way down and strong on the way up.
This leg workout took part @flexfitnessbotany which is big boy @hart_n_soul_fitness stomping grounds and iron paradise. His beard game is as strong as his workout ethics for killing weights, I'm talking heavy to 💪🏽. Stay well & healthy everyone
Thanks FB for reminding ... that we were here on beautiful Muri Beach 🏝, Rarotonga in the Cook Islands this time last year when this georgous kid came playing his ukelele along the beach, not a care in the world... oh how different today is in blustery cold London 🥶 🇬🇧 ...🎄🛍
To keep the burger vibe going in RAROTONGA, next stop was...
Destination: Palace Takeaways
Palace Takeaways is located in a super handy spot right on the edge of the main town of Avarua. It looks like quite a typical NZ local takeaway joint with a few table and chairs located outside.
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Friendly enough, they don’t have eftpos facilities so only accept cash (not an issue for us). They call out when your meal is ready so stay handy as ours almost got nabbed by another local with a similar order
Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - We ordered a famous, ‘Wet Cheeseburger’ as per a recommendation from a friend. This is something that is not mentioned on the menu as such but a locals order and what an experience! We had not idea what to expect for a ‘Wet’ burger but basically it is your freshly made burger floating in sauce! So paired with some chips to dip in this juicy mess, it was delicious!! Fresh fresh buns, as you can imagine the burger is a bit of a mess to eat but is worth the $4-$5 that it cost! The chips were fresh and well seasoned.
Environment: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - this is located in a very open space as you will see in the pictures, it’s nothing fancy but does you well enough to eat or if the weather is not good, you can wait in the car as there is plenty of parking straight out the front.
Overall experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - absolutely recommend trying this spot and the ‘Wet Cheeseburger’ as a great food experience. This is a super tasty and super cheap takeaways. They do all day $3.50 burgers on Wednesdays too! 🍔👍🤤

What better place to start than with our trip last week to RAROTONGA!
Vili’s Burger Joint is in an awesome newly built building, in between a couple of other food and drink spaces. Plenty of seating including a couple of rooftop decks if you can handle the heat of summer 😎
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Friendly and fast, we had no queues only 1 couple ordered before us. This is a buzzer service, you take a little disc away that vibrates when you should return to collect your meal. No table service available
Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Delicious burgers! Fresh buns, well made flavoursome patties and gooood sauce! All burgers come wrapped in tinfoil to keep hot and tasty. Unfortunately chips were not available at the time we went.
Environment: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - this new premises was a stark contrast to the spot Vili’s Burger Joint once was at Muri (actually loved that spot for its authenticity) but this is fresh and a great space for future growth and popularity. I can only imagine going there at a more peak time and how busy it would be but it would be able to cater. Parking is right next door and easy as it is right off the main road around the island.
Overall experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - an absolute must if you want a quality burger at cheap affordable price! 🍔👍🤤
How to land an invite on a press trip as an influencer 👇🏼
I'm prepping this weekend to head out on Monday to Egypt! 🇪🇬 I was invited by a company (which means all expenses are covered), and wanted to share some tips for getting invited on this kind of trip as an influencer.
⭐️ Always seek to improve the quality of your content. These days, brands value high-quality content just as much as - if not more than - followers because they want to bring people on whose images and videos will represent their brand in a professional way. Photography & composing images doesn't come naturally for everyone (it certainly didn't for me!), so always save IG images whose composition you love to inspire you when it comes time to shoot. Strive to improve each time you get out your camera!
⭐️ Network, network, NETWORK. It's not enough to wait for brands to come to you. You need to spend a lot of time proactively reaching out & introducing yourself to PR agencies and brands that you see running press trips. Do this without the overt intention of asking to work together, but to demonstrate what you can offer and why exposure on your platforms would benefit the brand. Then you'll be on their radar and media lists!
⭐️ Be easy to work with & overdeliver. When you get invited on your first press trip, the invites will start to snowball. Word travels fast between PR companies and brands, so it's important that you're not high maintenance, that you’re easy to work with and that you overdeliver in every way.
Any questions about press trips? ✈️
