It’s hard to be in a body you don’t like. A body you feel betrayed by. A body that doesn’t seem to look like anyone else’s, and doesn’t seem to conform to what you want. We visited The Real Bodies exhibit while we were in Las Vegas this weekend. If you’ve never been, they feature actual human bodies and organs that have been preserved and then presented to show function, form and development. It’s fascinating and gross and enlightening, and it ramped up my body image issues BIG TIME. For some reason being there made me feel naked and vulnerable. I’m still trying to figure that one out, so if anyone has any insight I’d welcome it. Pictured is me with “Vitruvian Woman”, a take on da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man. I’m not sure if its the cold weather, the fact that it’s now dark all the time, or if I’m just completely exhausted, but I have had ZERO motivation to do my workouts this week.
My alarm ⏰ goes off at 0430 and all I wanted to do is throw the covers over my head and go back to sleep. I pushed the snooze button one too many times and reluctantly trudged down the stairs to my workout area.
While every part of me wanted to skip my workout, I did it anyway. I know 💯 that if I wasn’t a coach, I wouldn’t have worked out today, or yesterday, or Monday. 🤷🏻♀️😂 (just being honest!)
Coaching has helped me to be the most consistent I’ve ever been with working out. If I were a challenger in an accountability group, I honestly don’t know if that would have even been enough motivation to get up. The fact that as a coach, I know I am showing up for others, is just the extra nudge I need on the days that I lack motivation. 💕
When I’m asking my clients to show up daily, you best bet that I better too! It’s like the saying goes, “Sometimes you have to do the right thing, not because you feel like it, but because you’re setting the example.”

I developed at a very young age. My boobs use to be a huge insecurity of mine. Why? Well because growing up I constantly heard from someone (who I thought was my friend) that boobs that sag were nasty and bad 🙉🙈 but after so many years of being embarrassed, I have fallen completely in love with them.
People really need to stop looking at normal boobs (bodies in general) as something bad. Boobs sag and have stretch marks and that’s sexy as hell. I am so proud of mine because they have gone through so much because well, let’s face it, my boobs are hot! And so are yours!
If a man or woman chooses to be with you it’s because they know and accept your body as is. They will love and be obsessed with every inch of you and if they don’t well, fuck them!
Now, my boobs are one of my favorites features (physically) sag, scars and stretch marks included.

💥 TURKISH GET UP PROGRESSIONS - THE PRESS UP 💥
The other week I posted a video of the set up and roll up progressions of the Turkish Get Up.
Today I'm posting a video demonstration of the press up onto a straight arm and showing how to reverse this progression.
It might seem tedious to break this movement pattern down like this but this movement pattern requires so many muscle activations and joint stabilisers to do it right, that you do need to practice each part.
Do 3 sets of 5 reps on either side, just practicing the roll up and the press up. .
The press up looks like this:
✅ Lie on your back, the left leg out straight at a 45°angle and the right bent and foot flat on the floor and also at a 45° angle.
✅ The left arm is straight at a 45° angle and the right shoulder is tucked back and down and thw right arm, stacked over the shoulder, pointing up.
✅ Breathe in and on the exhale, draw up the pelvic floor and flatten your abs.
✅ Roll up onto your left forearm, on a 45° degree angle, towards the left leg, driving the right arm to the ceiling.
✅ Then smoothly press up onto a straight arm.
✅ Keep your core, glutes and back muscles activated.
✅ Keep back in neutral alignment.
✅ Keep looking up at your hand on the raised arm.
✅ Then reverse, roll back down with control, lower your back to the floor, still holding the right arm up toward the ceiling.
✅ Repeat this for 5 to 8 reps and 3 to 4 sets on each side.
✅ Pay attention to any weakness, mobility issues or pain.

My mummy is a routine person and she loves to do everything as well as stay at home and look after me. .
Her day normally looks a bit like this:
6:00am - wakes up because I wake up
6:30am - gives me milk
7:00am - gives me breakfast
8:00am - walks me to the shops
8:30am - walks me around the block
9:30am - let's me do water play
10:00am - puts me to bed
10:30am - trains or coaches clients in her gym
1130am - catches up on social media
12:00pm - gets me out of my cot
12:30pm - gives me lunch
1:00pm - runs errands and takes me places
2.30pm - let's me play outside
3:00pm - gives me milk and an afternoon nap
4:00pm - plays with me and gives me fruit
4:30pm - cooks dinner
5:30pm - has dinner with all of the family
6:15pm - baths me
6:30pm - gives me milk
6:45pm - mum and dad read me a story
7:00pm - puts me to bed for the night
7:30pm - studies and works
10:30pm - goes to bed
But I've been sick with the flu since Sunday night so mum has spent every single minute with me.
Mostly she has been sitting in this recliner chair with me, cuddling me, helping me sleep, keeping me safe and cosy.
Mum hasn't slayed this week with training work or study but she definitely slayed at being the best mum to me. I love my mum very much and she loves me.
Sometimes everything can wait. Family always comes first in our house.

My friends, we have caught our first cold. This momma had so many things on her agenda today, but has spent most of the evening trying to help this little man relax.
Real life, I’m still in my sweaty workout clothes, I haven’t brushed my sweaty hair and all I want to do is cry cause this poor boy is so uncomfortable. I didn’t think such a little boy and such a little cold could wreak so much havoc on a household. I feel so out of my league so calling all mommas . . .

One of my favorite forms of self care! ✌🏼
While I do love to take 30ish minutes to workout each morning, one of my all time favorite types of self care is reading. 📚💗🙌🏻
I love that through reading I can escape the day. Anything that has been bothering me quickly drifts away as I am transported to another world. The only problem I have is that once I start, I find it hard to put the book down! 😆
The last week or so I’ve felt completely immersed in work, coaching, and house things and hadn’t taken anytime for myself. Then I realized it’s been over a month since I’d read anything “fun” just for myself. So tonight on my way home from work I picked up this beauty and I can’t wait to dive in!
My favorite types of books are thrillers and murder mysteries, which most people find hilarious since I am one of the biggest chickens you’ll meet! 😂🤷🏻♀️

I put up a poll the other day on my instagram story asking people if they had body confidence issues and if they did, did they start when they were younger or older. So many people voted they did and most said it all started when they were younger.
It frustrates me that our middle schools and high schools don’t teach our youth about body confidence, social media, mental health etc... near enough!
Our society has evolved so much in the last 10 years but have our schools curriculum changed? 🤔
You guys - I struggled in middle + highschool a lot and social media wasn’t even close to what it is now. Can you imagine what these kids go through these days? The societal mentaility of always having to look and act a certain way. A society that benefits from insecurities and low self esteem to an extreme.
My heart literally sinks just thinking about it 💔
Middle school + high-school are fundamental years in a child’s life. Why are we not nurturing them more and helping them establish a strong foundation by teaching them how to deal with real life situations they deal with on a daily basis?!
Our youth needs support, love, and personal development more than ever! 💛✨

I have never known peace in my own body - every day has been a struggle to accept this shell that holds my spirit. Some days have been better than others but overall it’s been a maze trying to navigate being a overweight female in the 2000s.
I grew up seeing thin bodies, hip bones, collar bones, chest bones. I grew up in a age of quick fad diets, over production of manufactured foods - I had no idea what that combination would do to me.
The constant chase for the body I was not born with - I was set up for failure from the beginning. I was never meant to have that body - I am 5’4 and built - I have an ass and hips and breast that will never allow me to have that rail thin frame.

The thoughts we form about the circumstances in our lives determine the significance we apply to them.
Sometimes the thoughts we form around a situation don't feel good
They scare or hurt us, so we push them away to avoid experiencing the feelings they create
But this doesn't help us much
It simply allows those thoughts to take a back seat in our minds & when the time comes where the theater inside our heads is calm, quiet & empty...they rise to their feet
This is why meditation can bring things up that catch us off guard & why the sensation of being calm or still rarely lasts.
It's like in the movies when the heroes have just won & things are going well, but you know it's only a matter of time before the villian steps in to wreak havoc again
When we face uncomfortable thoughts in the moments they arise, evaluate why they've come up & work to change them into ones that serve us, they don't get shoved someplace where they'll return from later - bigger & scarier than before
A loved one shared a saying w/ me that puts it perfectly- You don't put sour milk back in the fridge hoping it'll get better later
Think of those icky thoughts & feelings like sour milk- are you going to put them into the back of your mind & hope they get better as they sit & fester?
Assuming they're sour milk, then of course not
You'd throw out the bad stuff & go buy some new milk
The same can be done w/ your thoughts
Realize which ones aren't serving you, do the work to clear them from your consciousness & create new ones that bring you joy
Your thoughts are your greatest point of power.
It doesn’t matter how much weight you gain or when your period returns, if you don’t deal w/ your MIND in ed recovery- you’re never going to feel free

I foresee a whole lot of flexin selfies to come if this is how strong I feel after week one!
1. Everyone has rolls when they bend over.
2. When someone tells you that you're beautiful, believe them. They aren't lying.
3. Sometimes we all wake up with breath that could kill a goat.
4. For every woman unhappy with her stretch marks is another woman who wishes she had them.
5. You should definitely have more confidence. And if you saw yourself the way others see you, you would.
6. Don't look for a man to save you. Be able to save yourself.
7. It's okay to not love every part of your body....but you should.
8. We all have that one friend who seems to have it all together. That woman with the seemingly perfect life. Well, you might be that woman to someone else.
9. You should be a priority. Not an option, a last resort, or a backup plan.
10. You're a woman. That alone makes you pretty damn remarkable. 💕
