ONTARIO ENERGY AND PROPERTY TAX CREDIT
This credit is a tax-free payment to help you with your property taxes and sales tax on energy costs.
Non-seniors can receive up to $1,043 while seniors can receive up to $1,187. Even students can receive a credit of $25 if any of their costs were related to energy costs, and if you live on a reserve or in a public long-term care home, you can receive up to $232.
To qualify, you must be an Ontario resident and at least one of the following:
18 years of age or older
currently or previously married or in a common-law relationship
a parent who lives or previously lived with your child
And, in the previous year, you:
rented or paid property tax for your main residence
lived on a reserve and paid for your home energy costs
lived in a public long-term care home (e.g., a seniors’ home) and paid an amount for your accommodation
You could get a maximum of:
$1,065 if you are between 18 and 64 years old
$1,213 if you are over 65 years old
$237 if you live on a reserve or in a public long-term care home
$25 for the time you lived in a designated college, university or private school residence in 2018

Realtors are always looking for the way to "crack the code" on platforms, so I want to make sure you are armed with data and perspective on social platforms. Monthly we give updates and info on the state of various platforms and this week it is the GIANT... Facebook.
FACT 1: Facebook usage is plateauing and in certain groups declining. Facebook demographically is getting older. What started as a college student only platform is now frequented by all age groups with the older population coming in stronger than ever.
OPINION 1: We at Clikqly are seeing a HUGE change in our FB ad demographics. Viewership of ads is getting older with our clients, many are seeing their highest views by people over the age of 50 and views by those under 28 getting smaller.
FACT 2: Average Cost Per Click (CPC) for a Facebook ad for Real Estate is $1.81. This is NOT conversion, just a click on an ad. It is on the higher end of industry CPC averages.
OPINION 2: If you want to run effective ads on FB and reduce your CPC while increasing your conversion to actual LEADS, then you need to be creative. The old "how much is your home worth" ads are oversaturated and not working. Be creative and stand out!
