I think that makes it harder to accept I need to rest. I saw this quote and it helped me to not feel guilty and accept it’s ok to need a break. Today I had a “me day”, and I am so glad that I did. I am feeling blissed out! I started out with a Rolfing® SI session from my mentor and Rolfer™️, Ursula. She introduced me to this really cool machine called the Bemer, that before I had only heard about through other colleagues and from a client of mine. 8 minutes laying down pre-Rolfing and she had me stand up to see how I felt. I was amazed at how much more upright I was standing. Followed that up with a wonderful session. There is nothing better than that feeling after getting a Rolfing session. I can better understand the relaxed daze that I help put my clients in. I continued my day of self-care by finally visiting the Salt Cave in Minneapolis. Such a relaxing and meditative experience! The combination of the healing Himilayan salt, the mesmerizing color therapy of the changing lights, the sound of the ocean piping in as I reclined in a comfy chair, in a warm and cozy room, left me feeling incredibly relaxed. Added bonus that it helps with my asthma and allergies. I know I will definitely be back! Self-care is so important, and sometimes we need to make it more of a priority. That might mean getting it on the calendar so it actually happens. I promise, you won’t regret it and it will help fill your well so that you can continue being the best version of yourself. Morning walks 🍂 Chasing our dreams and keeping our days busy trying to achieve our goals, makes it easier to forget to find time to rest and recharge.
Tips on recharging:
1. Take a weekend away from your house, work and your phone.
Last weekend we spent the weekend in Seattle without data/wifi. Freed from the daily stresses of working life you tend to have more insights into old problems or new inspiration.
2. Scheduling a little me time is essential for your mental health. Take a second to recharge, go for a little walk, do some yoga, refresh your brain so you’re more booted for your next projects.
Today's hectic lifestyle isn't conducive in allowing us to getting enough healthy, restful sleep.⠀
60-hour workweeks, 24-hour shopping, news, and television make getting enough sleep a real challenge.⠀
The problem is, we often overlook the long-term health consequences of not getting enough sleep, as well as the impact that those health problems can ultimately have on our energy, our mental well-being, and yes, even our productivity.⠀

I’ve been home exactly a week and my normal hyper productivity has slowed to a crawl 😱 And I keep having to remind myself that that’s ok!!! You have to be self aware enough to know when it’s time to slow down and give your body and mind a little recharge 🔋 No one can function at 110% all the time. So I made a conscious decision to not beat myself up about it and take a week to just... be. I did the main things I needed to do each day.. tax stuff, interviews, doctors appointment, even a hugely important photo shoot yesterday- but I didn’t schedule myself into the ground the way I normally do when I get home.
Of course this self awareness has to mean taking a step back when it’s ACTUALLY needed, not just on days when you’d rather watch an hour of Netflix than do an hour of cardio!! So use this advice sparingly, and when it’s truly necessary!!
You also have to know when you’re back at 100% and ready to function at your highest level again. Don’t get caught up in an extended break and lose drive and momentum!! Just think of it like a stop at a gas station and drive out of there refueled and ready to take on the world 🔥

I have tried everything I could possibly think of to not end up in here but here I am. I feel like I have given this rough patch of mine all the fight I can, I tried so hard. I'm exhausted, I’m frustrated, and I can’t help but feel defeated. I work really, really hard at staying out of the joint and am so grateful I was able to stay stable enough these last two years to stay out as long as I did... I really did have a good run. As we all know tho we can do everything in our power and CF will still strike and almost always at the most inopportune time.
Admitting defeat doesn’t come easy for me but it does come with some sense of relief... I’m trying to change my mindset and instead of looking at it as defeat I’m trying to think of it more as getting my power back. Now that I am here I feel I can finally just allow myself to get the recharge I need and fuel my inner fire. I think my poor body just gets so used to not feeling great. I know I am where I need to be and honestly I am looking forward to feeling better. I am hoping these aggressive high dose IV antibiotics will be just what my body needs to live fully everyday and not just merely survive. Hearing that great news today about Trikafta makes makes my heart so happy and this stay all so worth it. I’m so excited and filled with all the emotions!! I hope I can start it soon. This is going to change my life!

Hey there... I’ve been really making the effort on IG to post 2 x daily, however my last post was 4 days ago. I feel like the last few weeks I’ve been running a marathon. •
Today I am taking a day of rest as I work from my bed at home. My energy comes in spurts and as much as I love to share it with the world, collab and meet with others, I also need to have my alone time to conserve some for myself or the reservoir will dry up. 🥵 •
I’m feeling anxious today...always trying to be a ‘yes’ person but more often needing to practice that it’s OK for me to say ‘no’. •
So I’m taking a step back, staying in my little bubble in bed at home with Ruby. I have some massive projects coming up I’m launching in Nov and excited to share. So apologies for the lack of online presence but i’ll make it up to you. 😉 Happy Monday beautiful people 🥰💃🏼 xoxo

Weiß Gott wie oft stecken wir unser Handy an zum Laden, doch wie oft nehmen wir uns tatsächlich Zeit für uns, um uns vom Alltagsstress zu erholen? Richtig - KAUM! Und das ist sehr sehr wichtig. Regeneration, Entspannung. Einfach mal runterfahren und den Kopf frei bekommen.
Ich arbeite wirklich sehr sehr viel, bin den ganzen Tag auf Achse und stehe unter Strom. Genau deshalb liebe ich Netflix Abende so sehr oder fahr öfters mal in den Kurzurlaub. Manche haben mich schon gefragt wie ich das alles so packe: das ist mein Geheimtipp. Einfach mal ein langes Wochenende zwischendurch Abstand nehmen. Wohin fliegen oder fahren. Die Natur genießen oder auch mal die Sau rauslassen. Whatever - macht das auf jeden Fall! Denn das ist wirklich so wichtig, um auch wirklich Leistung bringen zu können 🙏🏻🔥
