I was working at the workbench on another dog collar and had to run inside for something. Came back out and all 3 dogs were on the bench. 😂 So, naturally, I had to pose everyone for a picture. Crazy dogs (and little human)!
Charlie hurt his paw today playing with some pups! The little guy has a vet visit tomorrow but in the meantime he's resting and icing his little arm! 😭 any suggestions for keeping him occupied but rested would be appreciated, he is high energy and doesn't rest well!
A dream come true 🥰
Even though Wren is reactive and challenges me everyday, I love her so much. Bc of everything we’ve been through, my bond with her is so strong. She’s the sweetest girl and I would do absolutely anything for her.
Anyone else go to the bathroom with their mahm to make sure she doesn’t fall in 🤷🏻♀️

With the year wrapping up soon it’s time to reflect on Oakley’s journey over the last couple months.
As many of you know, back in March Oakley was in his accident and damaged his radial nerve which resulted in his left front leg becoming paralyzed. At the time it happened we weren’t sure what that would mean for his quality of life moving forward, but as we soon learned it would hardly affect him aside from a cosmetic viewpoint of not looking like a typical dog (four legged). After multiple vet appointments and 100’s of tears later we finally found one vet that remained semi hopeful Oakley’s leg function may return with time. With the way nerves heal it can take anywhere from a few weeks, to a few months or even a year if ever depending on the amount of damage inflicted.
Knowing there was a chance even if it was small that his leg function would return we made the choice to wait. Over the last few months we have dedicated the time and efforts to trying to protect and persevere his leg as best as we can to allow it time to heal. Over time we have noticed movement & feeling in his shoulder region, but unfortunately... no function or feeling has returned in his lower limb and paw still as we’re now in about half way through 8 months of healing time.
When me and Casey first discussed his accident we both agreed that we would give it at least a year to allow for any changes. Since that time is almost up and what we hoped we could avoid is starting to look like reality, the road to amputation is becoming more clear.
If you would’ve asked me back in March I would’ve been devastated knowing we may have to amputate Oakley’s leg. But if you ask me now, I know it’s the best decision. Oakley amazes me everyday seeing how well he has functioned this whole time on three legs. I really do believe the saying our vet said that dogs have three legs and a spare.
As I take a moment to reflect and realize how lucky it is that he’s still alive, knowing he will lose a leg is minuscule to me now.
I know to some Oakley is just a dog. But that dog is my family and my child. There’s no point to get an animal unless you ... continued in first comment. ->
