Ok, there's a lot goin on in this one:
1. TURN IT UP! at Brooklyn Children's Museum opens tomorrow morning! AHHHH!!!
2. The Turn It Up! app launches tomorrow! Its designed to track and measure the environmental and social impact of a big event, while also being fun to use for kids. Those bracelets are made from recycled corn plastic and 100% biodegradable, don't worry :-)
3. Ashitaka, from Princess Mononoke is legit the person I most look up to in the world. Dedicated to peace, but not at the expense of justice. He knows his fellow humans have royaly messed up his world, but he loves them regardless, and fights to protect them with the same vigor he works to protect the nature they're destroying. He's angry, and has every right to be, but uses his anger as fuel to create solutions. He's not afraid to get into fight, and is highly capable in one, but treats violence as a last resort tactic best used in absolute worst case scenarios. Yeah, he's fictional, but that doesn't mean that level of character isn't worth striving for!!
4. That's me, and my new haircut. I'm not Ashitaka, nor will I ever be. But I'm doing something that matters. Least, I'm trying to.

On 7/7/19 I was baptized at @concorddallas and it changed my life. I’ve suffered from depression the majority of my life and had poor habits of sweeping my problems underneath the rug. I can help someone else all day long but when it came to myself I lacked empathy and self love. Since 2015 I’ve been on a spiritual healing journey to culminate up to my baptism this year. After I committed to following in Jesus, our lord and saviors footsteps I promised God I will submit to his will and his perfect plan. Constant shedding of judgement, ego, detachment of man made pleasure and anything less than what God would want for his children. I realized after reflecting how present God has been in my life and I just didn’t know it. Surrendering to His Will has been the most liberating and grounding experience in my life. The quest for peace had taught me that nothing is more important than your relationship with God. He has showed me his powers and how real it is to follow his divine plan. After several recent health scares I was able to witness the POWER of God, the strength of Jesus Christ and the compassion from Mother Mary. I overstand where my soul belongs in the kingdom of the Lord and the blessing of the divine gifts that God has given me and how to use that gift to fulfill my purpose in his plan. God is real, angels are real, our Lord Jesus Christ is real and they truly will never leave you. Prayer life in such an overwhelming world is important and something you must commit to everyday, not just when it’s convenient. Humility, integrity, accountability and communication are key to fufilling your purpose. God allows you to co-create in his divine plan so as long as you submit to those characteristics. Give and love without conditions, anticipate the needs of others, and never try to inflict shame or guilt on someone or make anyone feel less than. LOVE and FEAR cannot exist at the same time, so which path do you choose to walk? & you must commit 100%/360 in your life to God, not when it’s convenient. God has done amazing things and I value the relationship and gifts he has given me. I truly am his #spiritualwarrior , #angelonearth , #lightworker ✨✨✨ Cont’d below 👇🏿🕊
X7 has been running very hot and Lean and when you hit the high revs you can't shut it down. I found two reasons for it running lean, clip in the wrong position and the wrong rated spark plug (too hot)
Figuring out this thing called Life out. The good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful. From the bottom of the hill to the top of a mountain. What I’ve learned so far is the ones you allow on your journey can either make you or break you. I’ll be damned if I break. I’ll make it, so help me god, if only to prove the haters wrong and celebrate with champagne with the lovers at the top. #bboldbbeautiful#remembertobreathe#stormspass#celebratethesmallthings#staytrue#havefaith

Do not be afraid that joy will make the pain worse; it is needed like the air we breathe. — Göran Persson
Lots of work for our concert with the choir next week... but there are these small things like passing by on this restaurant lightwalls that remind me to breath deeply and take my some minutes before going to bed just to breathe and meditate 😊

Dahlia doesn’t understand yet that you’re supposed to look at the waterfall 🤷♀️
Your life doesn’t get better by chance, it can only get better by change. You won’t feel good by chance, but only by choice. Choose to eat healthy so you can live happy.

This is an old saying but it is as relevant today as when it was first said. True wisdom is timeless.
It is advice that we could all use at times which has helped me to choose a better course of action than I may have taken in previous years.
We can not control the actions, words and thoughts of others but we can, and should, control how we act, what we say and what we think in each and every experience we observe throughout our existence in this physical realm.
When you find yourself in those moments where something is disagreeable to you, stop, breathe deeply and remember these words. You may find your experience becomes a more pleasing one to you as you continue along your journey.
With love & light

As a SAHM some people think we have it easy. 😂 This makes me chuckle I won't lie.
We are more than that. We are
And many more.. that's just a few we do as #sahmoms
I know it's hard to juggle everything and not lose your shit. I don't usually share my struggles, but sometimes it's hard to have such a great providing husband. He works long hours, still comes home to be an active father and husband. It's hard when all we want is him home.
Fence judging at Pytchley Hunt Team Chase 2019 last Sunday. This is the drop on no 17. Ground on take off about a foot higher. Downhill approach.. Gulp!

Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay & I spent most of it crying & napping (bc that's where I'm at these days), while feeling terrible for my sweet 🐶 whining to go outside & play in the sun. But not all days are sunny & bright on the inside, & I feel called more & more these days to share not only the bright side (like we all like to do) but the darker side too on social media, in my yoga classes, & w/ my friends & family.
My evolution, just like yours, is not always pretty. Life is mucky, raw, uncomfortable, messy & down right painful at times.
What I've learned is the more I open into the darker side of myself, do the shadow work, the more I realize that the point of life & of our practices like yoga & meditation is not to escape suffering but rather to learn to simply be w/ it, to soften into discomfort & accept we are here on this planet to thrive AND equally to suffer.
It's not easy to reach out, connect or share your story when you're consumed by the dark, but in doing so there lies healing, relief, & the knowledge that you are not alone.
For someone who has a lot of support in her world, who's self care game is on point & has some comfortability w/ sharing...I know how terrifying it can be, despite all of this, to reach out for the help I needed when things got bleak for me.
It's not an easy system to navigate when you hit the wall or have a breakdown (my therapist calls it a breakthrough 😋). Know There IS accessible help out there for you but sometimes we need help getting to it.
Everyone suffers mentally in some capacity at some point(s)in their lives, even if you only see the brighter pieces of their pie highlighted here.
What would our world look like if we revered & chose to honour & celebrate the dark times, equal to the bright?
YOU are NOT AL(L)one in this UNIverse. It's ok to fall to your knees & pray, lie on the floor & cry, decompose into your sadness long enough to become nutrient rich & vital again, but you MUST reach out. Your community, this universe, has your back, I promise.
Loneliness is part of the process but you don't have to do it alone🙏☯️ .
Thank you everyone who sent helpful advice and encouragement after my struggling-to-get-back-to-running wobble 💛 I spotted this posted by fabulous champion skater and mentoring coach @jennadowning. Some great #wednesdaywisdom for us all
In this year of creating more, we have often craved less. To go back to the basics and take the time to breathe, to rest. Over the weekend our friends @alexfdamour and @kevin_bones of @onourmoon came to visit @jthposada and offered up a breathwork session. We had no idea what to expect, but wow—that was something special. The tension that left our bodies was incredible (so much so that we both experienced our hands completely tensed up during the breathwork to the point we couldn’t move them at all—all of that tension had built up inside us and it felt great to finally let some of it go). The simplicity of it was the best part. We just need to remember to breathe. ✨ Who else has tried breathwork? So curious to hear how it was for you if you have! #jthposada
