Really need to find the box with our vases in...running out of glasses!
Dreaming of finishing at least one room on the ground floor as soon as possible as at the moment we pretty much live upstairs (our two teenagers love this)
Flooring is the next stage of both the lounge/tv room (green room) and the family/games room (yellow room) once the decision is made the flooring will be laid, then skirting boards can be attached.
We still have most of our things in boxes in the garage, it all feels a long way off! I spend most of my time dreaming of turning what is mostly blank walls into our space at moment it doesn’t quite feel like ours yet! #renostory #reno #renovation #renovationproject #houserenovation #houserenovationuk #edwardianhome #edwardianrenovation #housetohome
No where near finished but a big step forwards of the #renostory today! The boiler cupboard my dad built built us last summer looks great now it’s not surrounded by dirty walls! This used to be a washroom or outhouse so we used a bargain £5 tin of magnolia sandtec on the walls, we’ll cover it all in some jazzy, yet to be decided colours soon! #firsthome#firsthomerenovation#pimpupmypad

Meet the newest green member of our family - he doesn’t have a name just yet, or a planter, but he needs a strong one. He’s a dragon plant after all!
He was sitting all lonely at BandQ and I just couldn’t have it. This little buddy needed a home. Beyond my big home supplies shop and a short run this evening, I got up to absolutely nothing! Hope everyone is relaxing and enjoying the sunshine! Lots of love on this Sunday evening! 💋
Hello kitchen and dining room floor! 🙌🏽 So chuffed that we could reuse the original floorboards from the house by shifting them from upstairs to downstairs.
Not only do they look fab but they saved us a huge amount of money as wood flooring is not cheap!! Here’s a peek at them before they were sanded. I can’t imagine that blue floorboards were ever on trend but who am I to know? 😅
DIY SLIDING DOORS 🔨⚒
When we moved in, luckily the master bedroom had built in wardrobes. After sourcing some sliding doors from @bandq_uk, we embarked on fitting them ourselves. We had to create a box that the doors could be fixed to and waited patiently for months for plasterers to be able to come and plaster above. As my patience ran thin, my dad came up with a brilliant idea to use plywood and paint which cost a whopping £12 😂 as you can see, I need to do some filling in, but it looks AMAZING. For just over £500, it’s fair to say we have totally transformed the room 👌🏻✨ .
I’m so glad we created a laundry room we was undecided weather to knock that wall down and carry the kitchen on into their as well. But I feel the laundry room works really well so nice to be able to shut it all away but it still flows as well we chose the same cupboards and work tops.
It was my first day of annual leave today all year, and guess what I did?! Went to stand in a 50-man queue at B&Q 🙄 I also finally put up the shelf I’d assembled a couple of weeks ago, which I’m just in L O V E with 😍 and proud to say I did it on my own 💪🏼👊🏼
@mikebitya has been putting this job off for a while but yesterday was the day, this is a structural wall and really thick so a normal door frame wouldn’t fit, he had to make one instead and also hung the door and fitted the door furniture. Clever clogs normally we would have asked a joiner to do this as they are much quicker! Shout out to @gerrysmagic as well he couldn’t have done it without your tool 😉. There’s only one more door frame to do upstairs but our lovely neighbours have asked if they could have a Sunday without noise and we didn’t even realise it was Sunday 😬 so sorry guys #lockdownloco ! #renolife#lockdownprojects#renostory#myrenostory#bedroomrenovation#woodwork
This is one of the last big messy jobs we have left. The spare room! This room has been used as a tip/garage since we brought the house and has now turned into quite a big (very dusty) job. But we’ve started it. And I can’t wait to finish it 😂
The wall crumbled when we did building work (that’s old houses for you) so the plaster is coming off!
IT’S THE WEEKEND! YEY!
It should be DIY time but instead we are having a break in Wales. My dad is on cat sitting duties and got woken up by Rascal at 6.30am whilst I slept in until 10am... I don’t even feel guilty 🤣🤣🤣 This week I’ve been trying to sort the plans for the front room. As much as I love the blue/grey colour with the pink sofa, it’s such a bright room so it feels like summer all year round...even at Christmas. It’s not a bad thing but it’s also quite hard to style. The problem is I’m so indecisive..thinking Hague blue but I can’t decide if I want panelling or half paint walls or just all walls painted or even wallpapered alcoves! Eeek! See how indecisive I am..I’ve basically mentioned every possible scenario hahaha
