1/25 MOO is hoping some one will come save him from this place. Will it be YOU?
Ear Alert-1 up and 1 down! MOO is making sure he can catch your every word. He was picked up as a stray in 77562 on 1/15. WHAT!?!?! How has this dog-friendly boy escaped being noticed? He is smaller at 29 pounds and 3 years old. Negative for Heartworms so PERFECT! Now he just needs someone to choose MOO so he can be neutered and head on over to his new home🏡! Be the lucky 👨👩👧👦 to adopt him between 1-5:30 today or Friday as he is AT RISK at closing 1/24😭😭!! MOO came in with his friend WAFFLE A548760 and CHERRY GARCIA A548777 who have their own video posts!
I wanted to show how Koby flops over after our walks because he knows I have to check him for ticks - zoomies arent usually involved though, dunno what was up with him today 😆 I knew as soon as I saw that look in his eye
“Where did the weekend go? How could it possibly be Monday? Why am I up so early? Why can’t I take my midday nap today!?” - Just a few of the questions I battle every Monday morning...
But no matter how tough our Mondays have been, all of us on here get to look forward to going back home to our furry friend who has had probably just as hard of a Monday without you by his or her side.
And there is seriously nothing better than finally getting home for the best welcome of all time...a big white wagging tail, excited, bouncing limbs, wide eyes, and drooling for a welcome home treato. You can really tell that your dog missed you.
How does your pup welcome you after a long day away?
Have a great Monday and an amazing week everyone! 🤍
How do I adopt a Doberman?" Biggest inbox question of the week! LOVE so many of you are looking into rescue! While we support truly reputable Doberman breeders we're thrilled many wish to adopt! There are a few ways to do this successfully and ways to make the process easier for all.
First thing we recommend is deeply researching this unique breed. Many don't fully realize the level of commitment Dobermans need from their people. This is a Velcro breed to the core who thrives with their families through constant contact and indoor living. Dobermans require ongoing training, plenty of exercise and boundaries set from patient, dedicated owners. It's true they tend to pick their "person" but that doesn't mean they cannot bond with other family members in your household. An understanding of the public's perception of this breed is needed as well.
If this still sounds like the breed for you it's time to get your space ready! Rescues and quality breeders often require a visible fence for active Dobermans. Many times it's not just about keeping the dog safely in their own zone, but keeping other dangers out. Invisible fences is not something we personally recommend for this very reason. Folks also need to establish an indoor routine that works for your lifestyle. Questions like "Where will my Doberman sleep and safely stay while I'm away?" are important before welcoming a new addition.
Once you've completed the process above it's time to find a local rescue! Many are listed on www.dpca.org under RESCUE and we are always happy to help people find organizations in their area. Sadly not all rescues are reputable so personal recommendations are best. Within the selected rescue you will find a set of instructions on how to fill out an application. These applications allow folks to see what type of Doberman might fit your lifestyle, which is something often discussed during a home check. Highly recommend getting this process started even if your "perfect" Doberman isn't available yet. Once approved rescues will work to find a Doberman that's right for you!
Hope this helps give a little insight! Rescue friends are welcome to leave more suggestions!!! Thanks! 🐾
