Rest day today after a nice little surprise refeed yesterday!! 🤤 Definitely wasn’t expecting the coach to say that!! But damnnnn....that burger life doe 👌🏻 I couldn’t tell you the last time I had a burger tbh with you😅 legit months!

After a very sluggish start and I really didn't want to do anything today. I made a start around 10am and finally hit 10,000 steps.
I am really wanting to get to 10,000 steps daily but tomorrow I have decide to have a rest day and to take it easy.

Stop beating yourself up for allowing your body the space and time to recover and recharge and heal 🤔
It is completely acceptable to take time to let your bones rest and just chill out❗
I give you permission after a long hard week of pushing to balance out. Go for a walk, do some yoga, or maybe just sit back and snuggle the dog. Whatever you do though, do it with the mindset that balance is the key to overall longterm success🔥🔥🔥 Have a happy balanced weekend all 💕
In town rest days usually start with a good bit of pillow appreciation, eating, shower, more eating, baking, eating some more, admin stuff and, for good measure, a bit more eating.
Also, can we please appreciate my tan lines because I think I find them more entertaining then they actually are...

Had a little breakfast then and got on my way to Heidelberg afterwards. 🚘
It was one of those unbelievable tired days 🥱
I arrived at the University and I was just yawning during my educational professional development. .
I really love working out but I thought about it and decided not to train with this high level of tiredness! 😕
I knew a good sleep and relaxing would be better for me and today, I am a lot fitter and awake ❤️ sometimes we have to rest, even if its more than once a week then! 🙏🏼😇

More is not always better when it comes to push yourself
Over training is very common and may be causing your progress to decrease or stop
When you are working out, you are tearing down the muscle, literally. It’s when you’re not in the gym, when the muscle is repairing, that’s where progress is made.
If you continually tear down the muscle 6-7 days a week with intense, hard, strenuous workouts, you body will not be able to recover
This is why I stress the importance of taking care of yourself outside the gym. Taking complete rest days is so important for you body & your mind. Your muscles need that time to fully recover in order to come back stronger
