🧨 MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY 💥
Since starting this amazing program I have not LOST anything!!!!! that’s right NOTHING.
I GAINED... confidence, stamina, strength, mental clarity and a new wardrobe to boot!
I am now comfortable when I look in the mirror, step on a scale or try clothes on, off the rack.
Top: I was working out 10-15 hours a week, starving and counting everything that I ingested. I was miserable, exhausted, in pain, hungry and unsatisfied with results.
Bottom: got rid of 36 lbs, 23” 11% body fat....didn’t LOOSE anything, I never want it back!!! That’s why even after a year I am still on this journey.
See I didn’t get to where I was over night, it was from a life of yo-yo diets, a twisted self image, negative self talk, an unhealthy relationship with food and exercise.
Because of this, I know I will not make it to where I want in a blink of an eye, but everyday is a milestone to the goal.

Some days are harder than others. 😐Sometimes you fill yourself with so much self doubt that it feels like what you are striving for is completely out of reach. It’s in those times of doubt and worry that I know I can lean on my wellness community and family. And they in turn can lean on me.
The other day someone was having a bad day. They just needed some positivity and reassurance that things would turn out okay. I saw this quote and thought how fitting it was for her. But also for myself as a reminder to always look toward the future and keep going.
I can honestly say that the people in my wellness community have helped me overcome so many of the daily struggles I have encountered. They are always there to give me support and also to give me a kick in the butt when I need it. 😜 I can not say enough about this community of people.
So let me ask you again.

😋 Veggie Lasagna 😋
Who says you can’t eat the foods you love. Ok ok so it’s not traditional lasagna but I’m going to tell you that it tastes just as good!! And I know I can have seconds without feeling guilty.
I used everything that I would normally use, ricotta, mozzarella, ground turkey and spaghetti sauce. However I substituted the noodles for sliced zucchini and eggplant. Threw in a few shredded carrots and chopped broccoli and voila!! Homemade Veggie Lasagna.
Shout out to @busybrylee for the inspiration! I can’t wait to eat this all week! 😋

I have always avoided 𝓟𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓮𝓼.

Looking back now I regret it so much. But I wasn’t happy with myself. I didn’t think about anything other than how I thought I looked. I critiqued everything about myself. I was too heavy.
Not pretty enough.
I hated my smile.
Just plan insecure.
I wish I had the mindset I do now.
I wish I was in those 𝓟𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓮𝓼 with my kids, husband, friends and family. Celebrating birthdays and holidays. Enjoying vacations and lazy family days. A photo might not be the memory but it is definitely a way to look back at the past. The saying “a 𝓟𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓮 is worth a thousand words” means so much to me now.
So here I am now, taking the opportunity to be in any 𝓟𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓮, so I can make an imprint of a memory. So I can have something to show my kids and their kids years from now.
My biggest regret was waiting to make myself happy. Waiting to make changes to myself physically and mentally. Not realizing all of the little things in life that I was missing out on.
My advice. Don’t wait. Don’t wait to make these changes if they are holding you back from true happiness.
Ultimately only you can make these changes to yourself, inside and out. But you don’t have to do it alone.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, BUT YOU CAN HAVE A HEALTHY THANKSGIVING WITHOUT SABOTAGING YOUR GOALS.
Now that the holiday season is about to begin, it’s easy to go overboard with the calories and consumption. Even though you’re tempted by the pecan pie and marshmallow and brown sugar covered sweet potatoes, it’s essential to avoid overindulging this Thanksgiving and sabotaging your progress. If you’re not sure that you have the self-control to have a healthy Thanksgiving, read on for these top tips!
Limit your portions.
It’s the holidays and, of course, you’re going to want to enjoy a feast with the family – it’s only tradition! Even so, that doesn’t mean you need to pile your plate high with goodies. Aim to have only one plate of Thanksgiving food, including a healthy serving of vegetables. Fill up half your plate with vegetables and fruit, add a whole-wheat roll and a few sweet potatoes. There’s no need to go overboard with the meat or dessert!
Eat before you indulge.
Don’t starve yourself all of Thanksgiving day only so you can feast in the evening. Start your day off with a filling and nutritious breakfast and healthy snacks so that you aren’t as tempted to gorge when it comes to the main meal.
Swap out unhealthy ingredients for healthy.
If you’re cooking up a storm in the kitchen, do a bit of prep work before you begin. You can sub out unhealthy items for healthier items so that you get to enjoy your Thanksgiving that much more. For example, instead of adding butter to mashed potatoes, mix in vegetable broth and herbs. For green bean casserole, swap out fried onions for toasted almonds. Make a cranberry salad instead of using cranberry sauce, perhaps! There are plenty of options to make your Thanksgiving a healthy one!

Tonight we rocked an awesome strength day 3G class! 💪
One of the best parts of having an amazing wellness community at your fingertips is the amount of new things my family and I try.
For instance this side dish I served with burgers tonight. Yes I still made some tater tots for the kids and my hubby, but they all tried these and it was a win for most. Keira is convinced she doesn’t like cauliflower. Little does she know she eats cauliflower rice all the time. 🤣
Having great recipes like this makes eating healthy so much easier. It’s fun and exciting to try new things.

Measurements time!! What a difference 6 weeks can make in how you look and feel! And sometimes, numbers such as your measurements, can help to validate all of your hard work.
In one month, I’ve managed to lose a grand total of 9 inches. And half of that was from my hips alone, decreasing from 47 ➡️ 42.5 inches 🤩 I lost two inches on my left thigh (26.5 ➡️ 24.5 in) and my waist decreased by 2.5 inches (39 ➡️ 36.5 in). My upper arm however, remains at 14 inches. Yeah, 14 inches of solid muscle now!💪🏼
I started taking other measurements too, and will be recording my progress on the second week of each month.
All in all, HUGE losses, and I could not be prouder of myself. Who else is ready to toss the scale out the window?!

💖【Ｗｏｒｋｉｎｇ ｏｎ ｍｅ】💖 I choose this path that I’m on because I needed a change. I physically and mentally felt blah. I knew that over the years I had let myself go and really didn’t care. I made every excuse in the book as to why.
I didn’t have time.
I was too tired.
My kids needed this or that.
I didn’t have the money.
I was scared to fail.
Lucky for me something finally clicked in my head and said enough is enough. You deserve to be happy and healthy, now let’s get to work. And that’s what I did. And that’s what I continue to do.
Nothing happens overnight. Everything in life takes time and patience. The pieces will fall together like a puzzle eventually. Sometimes finding that corner piece is a struggle but when you work hard enough you will eventually find it. And you will be one step closer to completing yourself.

This is me. I’m a counselor. I’m a girlfriend. I’m a fur mama. And I’m a coach.
Yep, that’s right, little ol’ me, a health & fitness coach. Who would have thought. Someone who has struggled & continues to struggle with an eating disorder. Someone who used to HATE working out. Someone who then fell in love with it & spent hours at the gym walking around & taking my time working out “cause I needed to rest between sets”. Someone who is a type one diabetic. And someone who loves tacos.

Well, I'm not.. I'm little worried.
I keep thinking that I have to take another progress picture to show to you guys.

Mainly, because I don't feel like I've got anything new to show you.
There's no progress to be seen.
I feel like shit because you are looking at me for guidance, for help, for reassurance that if you join me I GOT YOU.

Happy Face Friday!!! I have gained a new respect for the amazing machine that is my body! I try to fuel it with high quality foods. I have come to terms with the fact that I will always be a work in progress. Perfection is no longer a ideal that I cling to with such hopelessness. This has been such a freeing thing! The life I have regained this year is priceless! In January I was so unhappy. I was extremely unhealthy and it shows. Water retention, and stress and being over weight really took a toll on my mentality. My self confidence was straight up in the toilet!
The complete nutrition system I use gave me the tools and structure to be free of those struggles. I have lost tons of unhealthy fat! But it what I gained that amazes me.
I have gained a great amount of lean muscle mass while losing fat mass.

I truly believe that nothing in life happens by accident. The things you do and the people you meet are loped together. Sometimes obstacles can get in the way but inevitably your life will veer down the right path. And those people who you need will be there waiting to guide you through life.
This how I felt when I joined my wellness group. I honestly was super skeptical about the whole process. I thought okay, I’m going to join this group, lose some weight and I’d be good to do the rest on my own. Well I was wrong on so many levels. I realized after the first challenge group that I completed, that I needed this group. I needed the accountability that the group offered. Knowing that a bunch of women were on the other side of my phone looking to see if I completed my workout today or if I followed my meal plan was the motivation I needed to keep me going.
But then there is the other side of it. These women held me accountable but they also become people I looked up to. I saw how hard they worked, how they showed up everyday for themselves and that made me show up too.
Then overtime these women became 𝕗𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕕𝕤. People I trusted and confided in. Some I had meet. Some I only knew through social media and the internet. But they were there for me like I was there for them. We were 𝕗𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕕𝕤. 👯♀️
I decided to start ｃｏａｃｈｉｎｇ because I saw how these groups and these women changed my life. It might have taken years to find them but ultimately all that matters is that I did.
I’m fully committed to myself.
I’m fully committed to helping other women like me.
To find their people.
To find their purpose.
To find their path.
To change their life.
One step at a time.
There are no accidents in life. Sometimes finding the right path takes time. Sometimes, it takes finding the right person to help you to that path. But once your there you will never look back. Sometimes change is hard.
Making the decision to stop one program and start another doesn’t seem like the biggest deal if you really think about it. There are so many bigger decisions in life we have to make. But for me, this is the moment that I have decided to really take my life back.
I know that this program is going to push me to take care of myself in ways that I haven’t been because I’m going to need to fuel my body appropriately. This program is going to push me in ways that I need to be pushed right now. So it’s not just about switching a workout program, it’s about taking back my life.
I will overcome this eating disorder because that’s what I need to do to take care of me. So honestly, I hope I gain weight during this program. I hope I fuel my body appropriately so that I can gain weight in the right places and build muscle.
I’d say that I hit rock bottom these past eight months. What really made me realize it was going for an assessment and having them recommend inpatient treatment for my eating disorder. But I have a girlfriend (@emcay25) that is incredibly supportive and pushes me every day to follow my heart and do what’s right for me. And now I’m choosing to do that.
I’ve never been one to follow the rules and do things the traditional way, and this is just another example of that. So if you need something more or something different, let’s chat. I may not have been exactly where you are, but I can guarantee that I can probably relate.💕💕

Results can seem like a far off dream when you're just thinking about getting started on a goal.
Here are 2 of my struggles....
1) keeping the house tidy (a la messy kitchen photo) to be honest I have better things to do with my time than hoovering and dusting.
2) Not having a glass of wine in the evening. When the clock hits 9pm I just want some.
Here is what I'm doing about it... getting an ironing lady (still working on the getting a cleaner thing....!) And tonight I even poured some of the wine back into the bottle because I thought I had too much 😂🤦🏼♀️🍷 This isn't a pretty picture. But I'm sharing it anyway, I totally dont have the insta lifestyle!
Two years ago, I needed convenient healthy meals to take on our first trip to Europe. Eating out is expensive there and we wanted to spend our money on sightseeing and souvenirs, not eating out every meal. So, we packed shakes for breakfast and bars for lunch/snacks. They are both meal replacements with only 240-250 calories, but containing 18-24g of high quality protein!!! Each costs @$3-3.50!!! Test drove a new workout program today to see what it was all about. 🤷🏼♀️ When I start a new program I’m all about committing to it so that I can see the results, so I might not should have tried this program yet.
I am still in the middle of my 100 day challenge but I am obsessed with this new program I tried. It is so much more my speed. The trainer works with professional athletes and he is in 👏🏻your 👏🏻face👏🏻 pushing you to your limits.
This program is great for CrossFitters and people who are experienced with woking out regularly and lifting weights.
6 weeks. 6 days a week. 36 workouts. I haven’t felt so excited about a workout program in a while. There is a clean and an explicit version,- I’ll be listening to the explicit version. 😂 I need that cussing-in-your-face motivation.
I’m really torn on whether or not I should start it now or wait until I finish my 100 day program. If I can get THREE people to commit to do it with me, each person will get a free prize valued at $60 and I’ll go ahead and start it now!

As each and everyone should love themselves. It amazes me how many people shame others for being #proud of their work. These people are like vampires and will suck the life out of you if you allow it to drain your spirit. P
Shaming another will not make you feel better about yourself. Positivity is infectious...spread it like a virus. I encourage you to give, to smile, to send love into the world. Because it will come back to you too. You need to be able to rise above jealousy and such small minded matters because it makes you a better person. In the big scope of things, you aren’t competing against anyone. You are working to constantly BE A BETTER YOU so that you can reach your own full potential.

The first day I received my complimentary @freshbeauty Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash from @influenster I wasn’t sure if it was for me. It smells really good, like a tasty strawberry jam!🍓
However, the texture for an exfoliating cleanse is really different from other scrubs I’ve used. It felt oily. I decided to give it another couple of tries and I realize I love it!🙊💕
It’s so gentle to use every day, but still enough to cleanse my face. I also end up liking the texture👌🏼
You can control the level of roughness by adding desired amount of water. (If you want an actual scrub then use on dry skin, less scrub then use on wet skin) 🧖🏼♀️
It feels like it is locking the moisture 💧in my skin while exfoliating my dead skin cells. 2-in-1! When I dry my face, it’s not super soft but it feels clean and hydrated. Unlike other exfoliating scrubs that dries out your skin. 😌💧
The Soy Face Cleanser will always be my OG favourite face cleanser! ❤️ A little goes a long way for this one. I like to use this with my electric face cleansing brush. I only need a nickel size and it cleanses my entire face. 😇 My skin feels so nice afterwards!
