Day 12 post op: Bid a fond farewell to 2 pounds yesterday. 👋🏻 Forgot to be as diligent about water today so working on it with focus now! I’m so glad that with my tastebuds changing I still love my #premierprotein I started drinking them months ago. Yummy and 30g protein! After surgery it takes me all day to get one down😂 I think it’s funny how different peoples’ taste buds are. My friend gave me some strawberry banana flavored protein shots (3.8 oz) and it made me cry and nearly gag to get them down. They were the ones she said tasted good. She also gave me some “frog fuel” packets that have 15g protein in 1 oz. that she hated and to me, they are far more palatable than the other. I have to get in between 40-60g of protein each day so I start the day with 🐸 and then sip my premier protein and get it done. This is not an easy journey (and I used to think bariatric surgery was the “easy way out” HA!) but it does seem to be delivering on the goal of metabolic reset and for that I am immensely grateful! #skinnyisntthegoal#gratitude#rny#weightloss#keepittight#waterproteinwalking#healthierme#momstryingharder#hydroflask#hottea
It’s wild to me that I can share [some] clothes with my sister(s). Like this sweater. And I can tuck it in? What the. 🤯 Going from feeling like “the big sister” to just “one of the sisters” is kinda cool. 💛 •
I love my shape.
Sometimes we focus on all the things wrong and we forget to celebrate the things that are great. Take time to tell me what's something you love about your body. Let's all love our journey and the skin we in 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I'm feeling so emotional right now. I don't know who this new me is going to end up being (the fear of her being some twatass is real) and I pray every day that you will still love her just as much as before.
I can't believe how far I've come and how determined I am to reach my goals. To be perfectly honest I thought I'd have given up by now because I've never considered myself as a strong woman (I'm weak of heart) but I am now realizing that I just may be strong enough to get to the finish line.
Tonight I gave it everything I had and the results have me feeling like a million bucks. Strong. Determined. Empowered. I can do hard things!! 40lbs to go!

We've had friends over this entire weekend and they wanted us to share some of our smoked meat with them. It was a HUGE hit! Smoked thick cut bacon, chicken breast, pork roast, roast beef and pork buttons. So far almost 10 months into our RNY journey together and we are down 225lbs. Surgery date: March 1, 2019.
I’ve lost 40kgs in 15 weeks - I have loose skin on and around my thighs. These pictures show me how far I’ve come and how much I’ve lost as well as how much work I’ve yet to put in with toning.
I am SO beyond PROUD of these photos and how far I’ve come on this journey!
Dinner today was NY strip steak with onions, mushrooms, gorgonzola, cooking wine and a little chive and onion cream cheese with some caesar salad. YUM!! I made a big pan of it for me and the hubby. Well mostly the hubby because I don't eat much 😂 Swipe left to see the pan and the package for the caesar salad kit from Walmart. The serving size is 2 cups of salad and I only had 1/2 cup, which I almost didn't finish after eating my protein.
Ok, the first photo is from Nov. 9th right before my gastric bypass surgery. The second photo was taken on January 10th. You might be asking what the heck is going with my hair!? Ya well me too lol. I have thick, fine, semi curly hair which is a monstrosity. I have been trying to figure out what to do with it for about 40 years but now I am trying drying it in a tee shirt? Idk-it was not a mess but it also wasn’t a success. So if you have any hair tips for me please leave them in the comments. Otherwise, feeling pretty good about this progress!

Hairloss after weightloss is very common known that telogen effluvium has to do with stress to the body and hormonal changes that can occur. Due to the stress more hair follicles can enter into the resting phase.
This product is an intense daily leave-in treatment for thinning hair that helps stimulate the scalp
and boost the natural growth of thicker and fuller-looking hair while improving follicle strength.
Well, here I am 10 months out. Down almost 60 pounds and working in the next 60. My journey has already tested me and shown full proof that this is only a tool and I have to deal with my inner demons to “cure” my weight loss. I have had some people@tell me I’m almost to a year and I won’t lose anymore weight now but I’m jere@to prove that theory wrong. I WILL reach my goal weight. It WILL be at least a year and a half out but I WILL do it. And you know what...with the hard times I’ve already gone through creating a 2 month stall, 9 lb holiday regain (which is steady coming off) I’ve already proven to myself that I’m here, I’m still standing, and I will succeed. #vsgprobs#vsg#bariatricmoms#vsgcommunity#vsgjourney#vsgjourney#vsgtransformation#wls#wlscommunity#wlsjourney#weightlossjourney#rny#gastricbypass
Nearly 2 miles. Not as far as I would have liked because I was working on two miles, but shoes rubbed a blister on my heel! 2 miles for the next week or so then I’m moving up to 3!!! #igotthis#onedayatatime#rny#gastricbypass
The best reason for taking care of yourself and staying healthy... LIFE! To actually live it is to celebrate it. There are no end to the miracles you can experience, and to which you can contribute. No miracle more real to me today than the birth of little TJ (Terrence Joseph), our first grandchild. A perfect miracle of love. The hard reality is this: without my RNY and subsequent escape from obesity, I may not have had the honor of this introduction, of meeting and loving on TJ. So, for this reason alone, it’s been worth all the struggle of the WLS lifestyle. Remember: Life is good, Living it is GREAT. .
Today I felt like a princess getting our pictures done! I FROZE but man it was worth it! Can’t wait to see our engagement pics! It’s amazing how confident I felt taking pics today❤️ #seepromiseshrink#nsv
I get so many messages from friends who are pre-op and have questions or scared or just curious about surgery and life after. I welcome every single question and will always respond to these. But, man. I remember how scared I was a year ago right now. I remember crying and worrying about if something happened to me and my kids wouldn't have their mom. I remember worrying about recovery and what that would be like. I remember wondering if I could follow this diet forever. I remember worrying about never being able to drink coffee again. Ultimately... I just did it. And, it is fine. Life is good. Surgery was good. I'd do it a million more times. 🤗
It's been an insane journey. I've officially had my surgery, it's been a little over a week but since the beginning of my journey, I've lost a total of 202 lbs.
Honestly speaking, I was killing myself in my old life... I used food as a crutch or comfort for things that were hurting me. Things that bothered me. I finally took control of my life in October of 2018 and started to lose the weight. I'm so thankful for a new lease on life... #weightlossjourney#weightloss#fitness#motivation#weightlosstransformation#facetoface#rny#newme

GUYS!!! Do you see this!!! It’s a single digit pant size🎉🤣🥳 and I fit into it!!! Wooohooo!!! . .
After a bank errand I went to get some much needed basics. The shorts I had been wearing were being fastened to my waist by a shoe lace and folded at the waist band twice 😂. Thinking I had gone down just a size I was surprised that things still felt a little loose. With my ❤️ pumping a little faster I picked up a few pairs of size 6 and 💥 SHE FITS!!! .
I’m 6 months post op and 20 lbs shy of my goal weight. When I started this journey I was wearing a size 1️⃣8️⃣ Today was ✌🏼 NSV OF 2020!!!and a huge boost in motivation to keep things moving along.
Let’s talk coffee ☕️ How did coffee hit you after bringing it back to your diet post op?
I didn’t start drinking coffee again until around 4-5 months post RNY. It used to hit me HARD. I used to get crazy hyper and energetic, but it seems I’ve built a tolerance to it yet again because I need it all day long. 😅
I’m trying so hard to switch over to teas! The artificial sweeteners and other gut wrenching ingredients in my sugar free creamers, and my go to sugar free Dutch bro’s concoction are wreaking havoc on my gut. I love tea, but my coffee addiction is real. 😩
Exactly the same top, trousers and shoes. Another before and after for you beauts! I love taking before and afters as it helps me to see the progress that you don’t necessarily see when you look in the mirror
Low carb chicken sausage egg white sandwich
Low carb waffle-
1 lg egg beaten
3 tbs almond flour
1 tbs Mayo
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp water
Makes 2 mini waffles. I used 1 for my sandwich
I used half a chicken sausage and 1 egg white patty and 1 thin sliced cheese. Kind of higher calories I guess but lots of protein and low carb.
For 1 half sandwich
Protein: 21 gr 😱
Made some of my chicken salad today to tie me over until dinner. Eating has been much easier and the bloat and pain I had been experiencing before my bowel repair is much better! Some of these photos are from before surgery this time around, but just some good ideas of what I typically eat 😋👩🏻🍳

There's only one way to describe this Spinach Frittata recipe...quick, easy, and delicious! Recipe link in the comments!
This is a game changer! Just mix half 5.5oz of the caramel and 5.5oz of the cafe latte with 6oz of Folgers, I personally use decaf but that’s totally up to you, I added some cinnamon but you can also mix some sugar free coco powder. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Almost three years out from my gastric bypass surgery ❤️.
And no, I didnt do keto or any other diets, supplements or teas like the accounts that have stolen my photos without my permission might have you believe. I have given NO ONE permission to use my photos nor have I done anything other than my gastric bypass surgery and diet to lose the weight. Don’t let them fool you with my photos 🤗

I’ve officially lost ONE HUNDRED POUNDS!!!! It blows my mind just thinking about it!!! I’m so freaking happy! This process has been incredible and I’m so grateful for the tool I’ve been given. #rnygastricbypasssurgery has changed my life and I can’t wait to see what this journey has in store for me next!! - -
Been pretty MIA around here...Not gonna lie... this recovery has shown to be a little more difficult than I had planned. Got all my dressings changed on Monday morning and by that evening I was itching soooo bad. I figured it was just the incisions healing but it turned out I was allergic to the bandages and broke out with hives and blisters.. as if I wasn’t miserable enough 😭 but now I’m on the mend- finally!
Today I’m 1 week post op extended brachioplasty and reverse tummy tuck with scar revision with Dr Urbaniak in Largo, Fl 💪🏼
•ONE•Derland. A place I haven’t seen since 13 Years Old. A place I never thought I’d see again. A place I literally dreamed of being just a few short months ago, yet here I am today. At 331lbs there were many things I couldn’t do. Like run, jump, tie my shoes without running out of breath, or get into my sports car without plopping down and giving out a loud “ughh”. I couldn’t shop where all my friends did. I couldn’t workout like they could. Or live life freely like they did. BUT here I am today... I run, I jump, I workout, I can shop where I want, and I jump in and out of my car like someone is chasing me now. Life is completely different, and I am just so thankful for this second chance. I am so grateful for the endless amount of support and love I receive from each of you on this journey. 8 months ago I promised myself I wouldn’t share this journey publicly, yet here I am putting it all out there, praying that just ONE person gets moved by it. That just one person will see my transformation and say “yes” to living a healthy lifestyle. I am human. I am just like YOU. If I can do this, you can too. It feels so amazing to step on the scale and see a 1 as that first number. It’s something I haven’t seen in almost 12 years. What an amazing way to kick off 2020. This is my year! This is my time to shine!• #wls#wlscommunity#wlsjourney#wlstransformation#wlssupport#bariatricsurgery#bariatricbabes#rny#rnycommunity#rnyjourney#rnysupport#rnygastricbypass#gastricbypass#gastricbypassjourney#weightloss#weightlossjourney#weightlossmotivation#weightlosstransformation#fitness#fitnessmotivation#fitnessjourney#motivation#inspiration#onederland

I know I know.. you’re probably getting sick of my side by sides by now.. but I just can’t stop looking at them 😍 💪🏼 #sorrynotsorry •
The picture on the left I was miserable and in the emergency room with stupid complications from PCOS. I was so sick, I was in the thick of the process of trying to get approved for surgery, and SICK OF MY BODY. I was over it. I wanted the pain gone. I wanted to feel like a “normal human” for once. -
The photo on the right was from my 4 month post-op appointment (Jan 2020 )after my #rnygastricbypasssurgery and I feel like you can see my JOY!!! In just 4 months I feel 100% like a brand new person. I’m HEALTHY!!! I’m on ZERO medications now (other than vitamins), my PCOS symptoms are virtually gone, my migraines have all but disappeared, high blood pressure and cholesterol are now normal, and my knee pain is drastically better. -
I am so incredibly grateful for this process. This tool I have been given was literally a miracle. It gave me my life back. Thank you @utahbariatrics for this incredible gift!! -
