Wir haben unser Archiv aufgeräumt und zeigen euch ab heute jeden Montag eine andere Perle aus unserem Programm: Das gibt‘s nur einmal, das kommt nicht wieder? - Lieder und Chansons aus dem Exil.
Happy New Year!
I know it’s Not technically a new year.
But I feel like a lot of us have given up on 2020.
We’ve decided to check out and get back at it in December!
We have 6 months left of 2020!
I’m ready to relight my fire!
I’m bringing back how I felt at the idea of a new decade!
In Positive Paradigm our theme this month is:
We’re setting some resolutions and working on how to making the last 6 months of the year be what we look back on and say,
We spots open!
All you need to do is say yes!
Shoot me a message if you’re ready to countdown the metaphorical ball dropping 😂

This day 99 years ago in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was the aftermath where #WhiteFragility attacked #BlackProsperity & burned a noble black community to the ground. At the time, Tulsa was home to a thriving black community, known as the #GreenwoodDistrict . Within this district, which was referred to as #BlackWallStreet , were black businesses & residences. On May 30, 1921, a #BlackMan , #DickRowland , was accused of attacking a white woman, #SarahPaige *insert world’s longest eyeroll*. On May 31st, 1921, word began to spread around the black communities of his apprehension & possibility of Rowland being lynched. In an attempt to prevent Rowland’s lynching, black people mobilized to the court house, where they were confronted by white mobs already gathered there. The black people were outnumbered & after shots rang out, the blacks retreated back to Greenwood. Upon hearing about the confrontation, angry white mobs took to the streets of Greenwood, killing black men, women, & children. These angry white people burned & looted black businesses & homes. It has been stated that even the police joined the mob, while others state that the #NationalGuard shot at black people as well as dropped dynamite from the sky. In addition, private planes flew over Greenwood, dropping burning balls of turpentine. In the end, on June 1st, 1921, 10,000 blacks were left homeless, property damage was in the millions, 300 black people were killed & over 800 injured. Those 800 are assumed to be majority white because the black hospitals had been burned to the ground. Blacks were locked up in #IntermentCenters were many unreported deaths took place. There is no record of how many detainees were treated or survived. Guess how many white people were jailed for the murder of black people & the leveling of a black community? You guessed it! ZERO! The Tulsa Police Chief, #JohnGustafson , was found negligent in his duty to protect life & property but never served prison time. He was able to work & live freely. What happened to Dick Rowland, whose arrest sparked the riot? He was set free with all charges dropped. Oh & the insurance companies would not pay out on claims of property loss. #ThisIsAmerica
Warranted or unwarranted,
Grief is grief.
I see your grief.
I see the hated.
I see the hatred.
I celebrate your life.
I celebrate your breath.
I celebrate you.
You are enough.
Mourn with those who mourn.
I'm not experiencing grief in any way, shape or form like many of my friends and fellow Americans are. I have experienced enough grief to know the type of grief that is spreading is worse than anything Rona-19 has offered to date.
Grief is part of our healing.
Grief can cause us to cover our faces and offer what seems like never, never-ending tears and mourning.
Grief has no time limit and often no restrictions as to how it comes upon us.
Kiss May good-bye 😘Now, enters June! The half-way point of the year 2020, another month to close those rings & also a chance to start/continue streaking! Streaking with the cool kids & Okies! 😜🙋♀️❤️ walk, jog, run or crawl (lol) at least 1 mile a day. Are you up for June??!?!! #streakingwiththecoolkids#streakingwiththecoolkids#roaring20s

Our next job was to try and remove the huge golden privet that had taken over the stairs to the front garden and was threatening to enshroud our funny little lions! It took all our strength too break the roots that had grown through the pot and into the ground below. We replaced them with these lovely little box from @bandq_uk. And we’re so happy with the result, and our gorgeous new twisted bay trees. Now we need to find some huge pots for them without blowing the budget!
Swipe to see the before. .
Anyone got any tips on what to do with the old privets? They’d really healthy and would be a shame to dump them. .
RSA Lockdown, Level 4, Day 31: The last day of Level 4! We took it super easy. It was such a lovely sunny day, that we had breakfast (avo on toast) and coffee on the balcony. It was so hot I needed a hat and sunglasses, but didn’t make a move to get either. I just basked in the uncomfortable joy of the sun beaming on me.
I had a shower and then had a good chat with @elzahnrinquest – it felt like the old days in high school, when you’d spend the whole day together at school and then get home and call each other. What could we have talked about for so long!
I had a fringe snip – sad before and content after pics added last.
I then was encouraged to continue my Lego building. It is so satisfying, I cannot tell you. So, we’ve decided to start a Lego Club. We want at least ten people to build this set (I am the 4th) then we can consider buying another set and so we can get the most joy out of a set of Lego. I really like this idea.
I was brought snacks while building, e.g. @grumpyandrunt cinnamon and sugar doughnut with a drop of coconut cream (5/5 would recommend).
I then had a chat with my @sophie.picton – it was her birthday this week and they got a couch potato dog! Surely this is the dream dog! All about the cuddles. I might be a dog.
I built a bit more until I put the big bits together and then we had so many snacks (@woodstockbakery sourdough, @princealbertolives olives, hummus, tzatziki, hummus chips, and homemade guacamole), gin-free tonics with bitters and played some Canasta. Since Roommate has managed to catch up, I obviously had to take him down a notch and I won. Biggest gap between scores to date. It was a beating, I tell you! I can go on about this but I am humble and kind. Lockdown Tournament score: 14–13.
We then proceeded to watch Breaking Bad until the longblinks came. Then I obviously woke up during the move to my bed and had to read.
I’m quite excited about this week. Lockdown Level 3 commences!
1920s 14K gold & tortoiseshell neoclassical acorn earrings. Despite their somewhat Victorian look, I do believe they are 1920s period as everything is original and unaltered (the screwbacks are original and not replacements for earlier wires). Just an incredibly elegant look. 2 3/8" long. Available.
