Oh, to be young, wild, and carefree again...But really, we all can be to a certain extent. Old and young alike. It’s more of a mindset that our family is working on constantly.
We can be “young” in how we approach the world...trusting and innocent (to a certain, safe extent 😉). We can be “wild” in how we live our lives. Loving others wildly, exploring wildly, loving life wildly.
We can be “carefree” with our attitudes. Not letting little things get us down, frustrate us, or cause us to become impatient.
It’s a process to adopt this mindset and it take a lot of work, but it’s sooo worth it.
Just reminiscing over this Frosty Dream lake engagement from last year - that’s featured tonight on my website. .

Explored Rocky Mountain National Park today.
Crossed off standing on a frozen lake, seeing some wildlife, and explored Estes Park.
We also toured the Stanley Hotel and learned about Freelan Oscar Stanley and his wife Flora who was important in fighting for universal suffrage and was a civic leader within Estes Park.

Looking forward to this weekend!
I think I’m going to get to check a bucket list item off the list...
I believe trey and I are getting to go ICE 🧊 FISHING 🎣!!!! I’ve always wanted to get to try this fun hobby and tomorrow is my day!!!! .
Stay tuned to my stories for the fun that’s going to take place tomorrow!!!!
We're excited to share Alex & Joni's engagement session on the blog today! Our fingers may have been numb from the cold but somehow Joni and Alex handled the wind and frigid temperatures gracefully. They even capped off the session by popping some bubbly to ring in the new year! LINK IN BIO 🍾🥂

It feels like a DREAM to see three national parks on my 2020 travel list! I say this way too often, but I am seriously living my dream and SO freaking thankful for all those that make my dream a reality! For all my National Park lovers, what’s your fave park you have been to?!👇🏼
In a recent evening flow yoga sesh we were meditating on 2019 and what our biggest take away from last year was and for me it was that IT IS TIME.
It’s time for me to accept that fact that if I want something to change I have to make that change, take the chance and put in the work. (And it’s way past time for me to move on...) It’s just time, ya know? Do you ever get that feeling? The feeling that you’re ready for whatever is going to happen next. 💙

Struggling is always an option, as seen here on the ice with my family.
Struggle in yoga is present when you aren’t present with your body. One clue is that your breath will disappear or you’ll hold it. There may also be a lot of grunting or forcing your body into a shape to look a certain way. Struggle isn’t recommended in the long run.
The good news is that you don’t have to choose to struggle. You can take a deep breath. That breath has the potential to give you a second to think or to listen to what your body says. It may tell you something that you don’t want to hear: like not today or here’s a thing that you forgot happened to you in vivid detail. Other times, it may say soften your shoulders or squeeze your thighs together and it happens. You get what you wanted without struggling.
If you’ve made it this far, classes I’m teaching this weekend are about the theme of letting go of struggle. Flow classes we’ll be working towards #astavakrasana
You can find me Saturday at:
Pearland 10am day for basics
Midtown 11:45am for flow
Bellaire 4:30pm for sonic
Or Sunday midtown 11:45am flow
All at @yogaworks_houston
7 of 220 - Becoming resolute one run/trek at a time. Today’s pre work hike/downhill run courtesy of Rocky Mountain National Park. Along the way a gentleman “it’s not very good up there, you can’t see the loch very well”. He didn’t realize this is about me doing me and not the view at the end of the hike. 🏃⛰ ❄️ 🛷 (my butt served as a sled for a bit) #220runsin2020#becomingresolute#rockymountainnationalpark#rmnp#trailrunning
Finally feeling like a human again!!! 🙌🏻 Moving all weekend then going straight into a busy workweek had me struggling so hard this week. Lately it’s felt a little like I don’t actually know what’s going on but I just keep smiling and moving forward 😅 SO, I’m crazy grateful for the long weekend ahead and having the next few days off to focus on some photography projects, organize more in the new house and most importantly, binge Netflix (duh). Finishing the week off strong though, already booked three trips today so I’m feeling pretty dang good about what this year is already shaping up to be. How’s everyone else’s Friday going?!
Missing the cold weather and snow. It seems S. Texas has skipped winter and gone straight into our rainy Feb/March season 😩. I just want to wear my comfy sweaters....that to much to ask for. What’s y’all’s weather like right now?
Today marks two years since I lost an incredibly important woman. My grandparents were extremely involved in my life until the days they died. I know not everyone gets to have that bond with their grandparents but I was extremely lucky. My grandma loved when I would go on hiking trips and she was always eager to hear where I was going next. She was one of the strong women in my life that taught me to be a strong woman. I miss her very much.
6ft tall Sunset Doorway* (*not actually a door but if you attach it to your wall with hinges & cut a hole in the wall behind it...) Made with hundreds of individual tiny lines. I am even now knocking at your door; will ye let me enter?
6 years ago today.... I moved to Colorado only 8 days later to meet my now husband! Every time I say that I feel like I need to be pinched, because seriously how did that just happen!?!?!
I was 31 and feeling so single.... I had already gone through my bitter stage where I was upset everyone else was in a relationship but me. That’s not a fun place to be and I let it overcome me for a couple years. Needless to say I was single for a couple years.... after finally getting over that life started to look up again! I was wicked focused on me and how to start molding a future I was happy with! Funny how that happens- outta nowhere he appeared! .
We decided to go sledding in RMNP and it was there we met! Was an empty lot in hidden valley since it was a weekday and it was snowing! We wanted to sled and Trey and his friends were making jumps and playing on their snowboards. We all started playing together when It started dumping. Wicked hard! So hard we all decided it was time to go. Not till we got to our cars where they were parked in front of us did he get my #. But it was there I’ll forever be thankful for! That split moment when everything worked out just right. .
Forever thankful for that day!
