Made some rose sugar for the rim of a new cocktail I made tonight! Kettle One Grapefruit + Rose vodka, rose syrup, lemon juice, sparkling rosé, & egg white. So yummy! Will definitely make again! And can't wait to use the rest of my rose sugar in more creations to come...! 🥂🌹

Portuga Rosé || a simple, dry rosé with a flavour profile that offers an easy drink and good value. It’s one of those bottles you just plop your ass down on a patio chair with a good friend and before you know it, the bottle’s gone. Luckily it’s cheap enough you’ll probably have a second on hand.
Tasting notes and full review linked in bio.

Enjoyed Yellowstone + views of the Grand Tetons today safely ☀️
Happily slathered up the whole crew today with clean sunscreen that is not only made with safe ingredients but also is reef-safe! Love that we can soak up all the gorgeousness of Wyoming while also preventing sun damage 🙌🏼

Since travel has come to a hault I’ve been focusing on other things.... like wine, I love wine so much I’ve decided to dabble in the wine business. A friend introduced me to Scout & Cellar - a company who’s interest is to turn the world onto clean-crafted wine 🍷 did you know that a regular bottle of wine contains more sugar than a glazed donut, no? Me either. Or that the reason you get those awful wine headaches is because of the nearly 300 pesticides and 250 chemical additivities included in almost ALL mass produced wine?! If you’re just as shocked as I was then you might need to try some wine from Scout & Cellar. There’s only 4 more days to get free shipping on orders of $99 or more before “safe ship” starts for the summer months, and trust me you don’t want to miss out! Let’s stock those wine racks with wine you won’t feel bad drinking 🍷🎉 link in bio 👆🏼

Onion bhaji & Rosé has to be one of my new favourite wine & food matches! So tasty and I even made the bhaji’s myself thanks to a delicious gluten-free recipe in the latest @dishmagnz.
We were recently sent this lovely bottle of @hirschhillestate 2019 Pinot Noir Rosé from the Yarra Valley to try (thanks guys!!) which I thought would make a great match. And oh boy did it 🤤
In the glass it’s a pretty pale pink shade. Lovely notes of raspberries, pomegranate and lemon tickle the nostrils while in the mouth its creamy texture is complimented by flavours of strawberries 🍓, cherries 🍒, watermelon 🍉 and citrus. Super fruity and delicious.
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
“School is never out for the pro!” 📚🤓
Am I’m in no shape or form a pro. However, if you consider yourself a pro at your craft, how often do you invest in training and educating yourself? 🤔
It’s my understanding that even if we have mastered our craft, there is always something else to be learned! No one ever knows it all right? 🤗
During these last few weeks of downtime that you may find you have, what are you doing to invest in yourself and further your education and knowledge of your craft? ❤️
Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of downtime 😂 but when I do, there are the books I’ve been perusing. A combination of educational and fun! 🙌
What books have you been reading lately? For work or fun? Both? Tell me below 💋

It's the last #WineDownWednesday of May and its a hot one here! Too hot to cook and never too hot to drink. My solution? A cool salad and cold rose!
I made a salad with spinach, beet greens, onions, golden beet, avocado, mango and feta cheese. An avocado, olive oil and apple cider vinaigrette finished off this simple and healthy salad. Oh! How can I forget the crostinis for that added crunch?! I chopped up the fruit and veggies, mixed the avocado, olive oil and apple cider vinegar to taste (for the vinaigrette) and toasted buttered bread to make the crostinis. Toss the salad together, top with the crostinis and sip that rose away.
I think this salad pairs phenomenally with rose because of the sweet mango, salty feta cheese and buttery crostini. The rest just saves the hassle of having a V8 😋
All jokes aside, keep salads in mind for a healthy, hearty meal that pairs well with wine on the next hot summer day. Stay healthy, happy and thirsty friends.

“The pale purple even / Melts around thy flight” - Part 4 of the summer rosé & Shelley mashup. As the Sky-Lark continues to rise and sing in unmediated joy, Shelley’s attention turns to the sky that surrounds it, as the Sky-Lark is absorbed into a broader and more suffused light, melting and blending into the sky. In other words, the individual bird becomes a part of nature, intimating that its expressive song is not an individual actor but part of an ecology of imaginative expression. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This seemed a good moment in the poem to turn to @casadumetz and open a Clementine Carter 2019 rosé. In contrast to some of the drier rosés I’ve had recently this is juicy, vibrant & energetic on the palette while still retain. One of the reasons I wanted to match “To a Sky-Lark” with rosé was how much variety of expression is possible at a very specific point along the spectrum of wine - while the flavors of rosé may not be as boldly assertive of place and time as say, one of this wine’s full-fledged (delicious!) Grenache siblings, its subtle variations and differentiations are almost more satisfying to notice - “thou art unseen, but yet I hear thy shrill delight.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ #wineoclock#winelifestyle#winelife#winelovers#wineporn#glassofwine#winegirl#winepassion#wineinstagram#instawine#vino#wine#vino#winetasting#vinho#wines#poetry#poets#poem#quotes#quoteoftheday#poetrylovers#poems#percybyssheshelly#romanticism#love#books#reading#poem#roséallday#roseallday#winewednesday
Need a midweek pick-me-up? This rose will do the trick. This Milan Nestarec, Youngster Rose 2019 is fun and fruity. Raspberry and strawberry notes with light minerality to it, this rose pairs perfectly with a sharp cheddar cheese. It’s from Moravia in the Czech Republic. .
1 Litre bottles of rosé. What more do you need right now? .

#winemeupwednesday - I always get pictures of the wine and not me at wineries, so this one by the water will have to do! Since a lot of people are getting back out and may consider visiting wineries, I wanted to reintroduce myself and my VA Vines blog! I am not a wine expert but someone who loves Virginia and exploring Virginia wineries, and like so share my experiences and tastes so more peeps try Virginia wine!
Check out my latest blog post (link in bio) where I try something new - three Rose of Tannat! If you like Tannat/red wine but not sure if you like Rose (or like me and it's the other way around), you need to try one or all because there's something for everyone. Thanks @chateauobrien_winery, @50westvineyards, and @stinsonvineyard for making great wines to compare!
Please stay safe and keep your distance as you venture out, and check winery websites before you go!

Uno de los preferidos es este Rose del valle de Colchagua, como aperitivo es 👌 también viene muy bien con comidas moderadamente condimentadas como gazpachos, paellas, 🍕 o simplemente connuna exquisita ensalada.
I recommend the house wine!😆🍷
Los Angeles has relaxed its stay at home order slightly, but we’re far from fully open, and I’m trying to avoid going out to stores as much as I can. To that end I’ve primarily been using delivery services and subscriptions for food and drinks, and have discovered some really cool ones!🍽
One of my favorites right now is @Winc , a unique wine subscription box that gives wine suggestions based on your preferences (red, white, sweet, dry, rose, sparkling, etc). I’ve loved their recommendations so much (my favorite right now are the Sparkling White Wines from WKND and Finke’s, they’re so light and refreshing!) - and it’s always fun to have fun to have wine delivered right to your door !📦
If you’d like to try #Winc too, use my bio link to get $22 off your first order + pay nothing extra for shipping. Cheers!🥂 #wincambassador

You don’t want to know how many takes this took #selfiemode Drinking wine in my bathtub, I actually stayed here for awhile beyond just taking the photo thinking and reflecting. I’ve been feeling pretty down lately, so I’ve been trying to turn those negative thoughts into gratitude. I always am on the go and I love having things to look forward to to keep my energy up and keep me going. What I’m most looking forward to is when I can visit my family, though I’m not sure when that will be. I miss them so much. Accompanying me is the 2019 @sophiejameswine - I was hoping to sip this at one of their incredible events for the first time, but my bathtub will do. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Bars & restaurants are still closed for now in France, which is very sad 😣 But the wine world isn't only about drinking wine, I often think it's about living a whole experience 🍇 Travelling from one estate to another, discovering different terroirs, talking to our winemakers... Can't wait to travel again, this definitely is my favorite part 🥰
➡️ What do you love the most talking about wine experiences ?
📸 Pic taken in April 2019 at Château La Croix des Pins,Ventoux (Rhône Valley). A beautiful estate near the Mont Ventoux, all organic grown, with two guest houses in the very middle of the vineyard 🏘️ Perfect summer plan 🌞

Had the most lovely evening. Felt so nice to see friends, and socialise. My picnic consisted of wine...what else do you need? This time last year I would have said no to venturing out but I’m definitely in so much more of a better place now 🥰 Now home and watering the plants.
Sunday essentials - A long run, some cauliflower pancakes and Rosé! AD I've been hooked on making these cauliflower pancakes (frozen cauliflower rice, eggs, a little parmesan) to refuel post run. Pairing it with a glass of @fitvine_wine Rosé has been a perfect complement! I love how FitVine Wine has less sugar, no flavor additives, fewer tannins and with no sacrifice to flavor or ABV! Let FitVine crush grapes, so you can crush life! #FitVineWine#LiveYourFit *Content for 21+
