I visited here maybe around four times!
I like cheesy foods very much, when I came to Sapporo and I used google map to find a cafe which has rice gratin!! Love their rice gratin very much, very yummy and cheesy and subtle!
Remembering when I visited here once, korean tourists just sat beside me.
They can’t read Japanese menu and the staff did her best to translate the menu.
I saw that situation was hard and tense, so I helped the staff to interpret the menu spontaneously!
Besides,I did a big work this year!
I translated all menu into English to cafe Conifer ,so!!!
Don’t be afraid and nervous, cause they will have a English menu for you.💚
This cutest cafe just located near Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art.
I’ve been having mad cravings for some hotpot lately, more specifically wagyu hotpot. I visited Gyuzen shabu shabu twice in Hokkaido and it was totally worth it. They offer an all you can eat wagyu menu ranging between 4 different cuts and regional beef so there’s a price range for everyone. We ordered the black cattle wagyu with the mix shabu shabu and Sukiyaki pot😋🐷. The mixed pot allows for a nice variety of savory and sweet flavors between the two base styles. If you don’t like raw egg dipping though stick with the shabu shabu option.
The black cattle wagyu is one of my favorite beef because they have even marbling that still melts in your mouth without being too fatty. This allows me to really enjoy a solid 120-minute ayce meal and eating my money worth.
Let me know if you’re craving some wagyu hotpot in this summer weather.
As usual IG not doesn’t have the Sapporo location so I tagged their Tokyo store. Check out my blog for more pictures and details Gyuzen shabu shabu in the description.

Beef tongue (gyutan) 🐮 👅 is a very popular ingredient in Japan, so before you cross it off your list at least give it a try. I can’t believe I haven’t tried Sendai Henmi before my last trip. They are a popular chain of grilled beef tongue restaurants from you guessed it, Sendai.
You can choose between a single or a 1.5 extra meat serving. We ordered the 1.5 serving front cut lunch special 1,150¥ and the single serving, center cut for ~1,400¥.
The gyutan was cooked over charcoal which gave the meat a smoky barbeque flavor and beef drippings was perfect over rice. 🤤The front cut was thin with a chewy texture, while the center cut was more tender with just a slight bounce.
So, are you willing to some grilled gyutan?

🌟YOU'VE HEARD OF KATSU CURRY, BUT HAVE YOU EVER HAD SOUP CURRY?🌟
📍Soup Curry Suage, Sapporo
It's exactly what it sounds like! Curry but in a lighter and thinner texture! It's one of the specialities of Sapporo, so if you come here, make sure you visit this place! 🎋
There are lots of toppings to choose from, but I chose the karaage aka fried chicken, some mushrooms, sausage, and veggies! 🥘
The soup was light, but it sure packs a punch! It has all the strong flavours of curry, but the vessel is much lighter than the usual curry you would be familliar with! 🤤
I personally enjoy this better than the normal curry, but everyone has their preferences. Would you give this dish a try? 😋
