Against better judgement, Matt and I decided to go out for a surf in a fog bank. Find the full length edit on my IGTV and Youtube!
This is from the first time taking out my new @lendalna team paddle, the Cadence X paddle and after spending the last several weeks with it, I can't rave enough. Being dedicated to my Storm paddle, I was skeptical that I could love the Cadence X. I was wrong. For a medium sized blade, this paddle offers some seriously powerful and controlled strokes in aerated whitewater. I believe it's the sheer amount of immediate catch, that inspires confidence in blade placement and dropping edges.
Despite what it might look like, I spend most of my time paddling flat water and this blade is just at home touring on glassy water. Light swing weight, clean, crisp purchase, and it has great blade pop. Just like it's little brother, the Cadence, it's among the strongest and lightest paddles I've even used. It weighs in at a mere 24oz and boasts a LeverLok ferrule that can micro adjust feather and paddle length up to 5cm.
So if you want an ultra light weight, adjustable length, do it all and crush everything, touring paddle. Try a Cadence X
It's official. I'm on the SeaKayakingUK Sponsored Pro Team @ndk_seakayaks
So extremely honored, proud, and yes, STOKED to be a team member with some amazing athletes under a legendary name in paddle sports and exploration. Big ups to Nigel Law and Dale Williams for the recommendation and putting in the good word! Thanks guys!
As for the craft, I went with the newest SKUK model; the Latitude. Okay, yeah the name sounds cool and all. But wait, there's more! Latitude is the largest model in the Pilgram family with an extended cockpit for longer legs and an additional 2 inches of stern length for extra volume for faster and smother acceleration and packing room.
The comfort level is through the roof for me in this boat. I've added just a foam seat and some minimal foam outfitting to have a snug and responsive fit. As for performance, this boat is coming closer to the all 'rounder that I've been looking for with each time I've paddled it. So far I've experienced a fast and playful boat that's great for touring, surfing, camping, guiding and instruction.
Here's the amazingly timed shot by Nigel Law, @savannahcanoeandkayak. Taken while splashing my new boat for the first time in the Triangle, Tybee Island, Georgia.
If there is something that I've left out about my new experience with the Latitude, this image has me covered.
