I'm lucky to work in a job where I can big up extra shifts and get paid overtime for it.
I Got convinced into doing 12 hours of Overtime tomorrow, which will be great when I get paid for it, as I've spend wayyyyyy too much money lately but I'm dreading the 3rd early morning wake up on a row!
It'll all be worth it, the extra $$ can go towards my savings goal.
5 containers in the back up freezer made from the father in law of spaghetti bog ..... 2 meals in each container for her & hubby when I work late saves hubby time, washing up heaps of dishes & saves us money. In this freezer we also store the dog meat which our neighbour gets us, water icy poles when there 1/2 we pop straight in there so we arnt waiting to freeze & back up frozen Veges. I have a list what's in there so there's no excess spending but we have our fave or 1/2 sales frozens. I also use the frozen to mix with the dog food too. #freezermeals#mealplan#mealplan#savings#homeorganistation#shopfromfreezer#budgetmum

As you know we are trying to budget a bit this year and it also comes with some meal planning so we can avoid wasting money on food we don’t eat or we buy too much of. That’s why I prepared meal plan for next week, shopping list and we went shopping yesterday. It was such a big success and I am actually excited to prepare all the meal during the upcoming week. We also fully came back to vegan diet (I had a break because of my pregnancy aversion, but now I actually crave healthy, vegan food!) so it’s gonna be yummy!
Do you guys meal plan as well? Or shop once a week? For us it’s completely new thing so I’m curious how it works for others.
I am soooo tired! We visited Wet N Wild today and I forgot how many stairs there are if you want to go on a water ride haha. We had a brilliant time and the kids loved the wave pool. My son, my sister and me went on the drop slide (What I call it) and it was amazing. The floor literally drops from under you and for 1 to 2 seconds you get this amazing feeling like when you go over a speed bump too fast. It is definitely a must if your visiting and worth the wait.
Today I spent a total of $26 for the 5 of us. $5 of this went towards half of the locker hire (shared with my sister), $8 on a refillable drink voucher (for the cup we bought at Sea World) and the remaining $13 went on some sweet treats.
A few tips and tricks for anyone visiting Wet N Wild would be that you CAN take food in and they even have BBQs for you to use. You can purchase a refillable drink bottle at any of the 3 theme parks and if you take it to the next theme park you only pay $8 for refills all day! Use this drink bottle and fill up other bottles to maximise your purchase hahaha. Hit up the big rides first as these get busier from around lunch time onwards. Be VERY careful in the wave pool! I can swim but there were a lot of people wanting to go in the wave pool when the waves started and stood at the edge just before it got deeper as they couldn't properly swim (a lot of tourists). The reason this is scary is because at most times you couldn't move or see if anyone was struggling or if they even went under! So please be mindful and alert if using this pool x
We purchased our tickets for the 3 theme parks off Adrenaline and used a SUMMER30 code to get $30 off any purchase over $149. I purchased these in 2 lots as I needed 5 tickets so saved $60. Always shop around and do a google search for codes on sites before clicking the buy now button :) #qld#holiday#travel#frugal#frugallife#thrifty#cheap#budgetlife#budget#discoverunder5k#foodporn#cheapeats#eat#bargain#debtfree#kids#money#savings#debtfreeliving#mums#makingmemories#family#kids#mums#holiday#holidays#discoverunder10k#thriftymum#fun#queensland#themeparks#bargain#debtfreeaustralians

What do you consider a side hustle!? Is it just the survey apps, cash back apps, ect that you account for with side hustles or is it any extra money you make in the month that doesn’t include wages. I get wages and tips from work which I class a work, and then the apps as a side hustle, I got £20 from doing lifts for my parents and they’re friends last night, (I would say side hustle) but if I do extra work out side of work I just add it to my tips 🤷🏼♀️ what do you guys do?? #sidehustle#debtfree#debtfreejourney#debtfreecommunity#savings#savingmoney#savingmoneytips#budget#budgeting

2020 Resolution n°4 : save some cash! 💷 to travel more ✈️
Knowing that my two beloved friends @clarachan_japon aka @leila.modele & @frenchbakerinjapan aka @jeromesrt will live their dream and move to Japan, I decided to save money and plan for a trip in the countries of Sakura.
I also miss my best friends @davdllm & @psyscies , both in France. Saving money would finally replace voice notes by warm hugs 🤗
Any tips on budget managing is welcome people! Thanks!

We found out this weekend that both our parents want to contribute to our wedding! 👰🏼🤵🏼
This is SO unexpected and we never took this into account when budgeting for our wedding. Although we can afford everything we had a little shortfall that we would need to cover but now we are way under budget!!
I just feel so appreciative and grateful 🙌🏼
I’ll do a more detailed post/story/IGTV on our wedding budget soon when I’ve settled back into my work/life routine 🤣 (I’m in denial about heading back to work tomorrow!!)
Have a think about how you save money? 👉Maybe putting your change each week into a large whiskey bottle? 👉Transferring money into a bank account you are unable to withdraw from? 👉Under the mattress? 👉Giving yourself a budget each week for luxuries?
Whatever works, start today. Whether it is saving for a holiday, Christmas or just in case something happens like starting your own business, start today as it will soon build up quicker than you realise!
Living paycheck-to-paycheck can be very stressful and often the road to financial freedom means figuring out how save so paycheck-to-paycheck living is no longer part of your life. Check out the link in our bio for some tips 💚
🙄 honestly one of the most frustrating things I see often on here. This is not a brag, but I’ve never really had a problem with frivolous spending. Probably because I’ve been stressed about money my whole adult life. So when the ~top tips I see here are “get less mani pedis/dew salon trips” or “no buying your daily $5 drink” or “take less vacations per year” or “don’t buy the latest iPhone every year” or “cut cable” ... I can’t help but roll my eyes.
For one, big assumption that people struggling financially do any of that in the first place. A lot don’t.
Second, it gets taken too far sometimes. Not buying a Starbucks drink every day saves you a ton of money, but buying one a month is negligible if budgeted for. So why do people get shamed or judged for the occasional coffee out?? Don’t feel like you aren’t making sacrifices and making progress if you treat yourself occasionally.
Third, it ignores the things that are the ACTUAL problem - high rent/mortgage, car payments, student debt (and general cost of education), low wages, medical bills/insurance (for you Americans). Sure, spending less money on coffee helps a little, but there’s other things that will make a bigger difference.
Just my rant of the day 😂 #debtfreecommunity#debtfreejourney#debtfree#singledebtfreecommunity#debtfreecommunitycanada#debtfreejourneycanada#singledebtfreejourney#budget#budgeting#frugal#frugalliving#brokeaf#debtfreecommunitycanada#personalfinance#moneygoals#nomoredebt#debtisdumb#savings#babysteps#debtpayoff#debtfreedom#debtfree2020
