Es una técnica volumétrica que permite cuantificar el contenido de yodo a partir de una reacción redox.
Entre las numerosas aplicaciones, una de las más comunes es la determinación del contenido de hipoclorito en el cloro comercial.
"In this century, society has especially interested itself in the material. Partially in response to the excessive rejection of the earth and the body, and of the authoritarianism which maintained this position, we have now fully entered the realm of matter, with head, heart, and soul. Whereas in former times humankind was more dreamy in its consciousness and thus more prone to the Luciferic realm of fantasy, illusion, and superstitious thinking, modern consciousness tends to the concrete, to materialism. The belief only in what can be ascertained by the physical senses (and the instruments which extend those senses) binds us to the earth and to the influence of the being named Ahriman.
Angra Mainyu, or Ahriman, was first spoken of in the Zoroastrianism of ancient Persia. He was the evil god, the lord of lies who tempted men and women to believe that they were solely earthly beings. At a time in history when the clairvoyance which had once been common was becoming rare, the ethical teachings of Zarathustra sought to remind the people of their divine origin and to teach through the revelation he had received of the Lord of the Sun, Ahura Mazda.
The influence of Ahriman has grown through the centuries, quietly gaining respectability in the age of the Renaissance and flourishing in our own century as the predominant worldview. Only in the last years has there been any serious questioning of the notion that the only reality is the physical one. For the most part, the realm of soul and spirit has been dismissed. The prevailing scientific view has been that only what can be weighed, measured, or quantified should merit serious attention. Ahriman has welcomed statistics as his handmaid."

..... Solar Orbiter is the first medium-class mission launched under the European Space Agency’s Cosmic Vision 2015 – 2025 program, which aims to answer key questions about our Solar System, the emergence of the universe, fundamental physics that shape nature, as well as the development of plants and how life forms in the universe.
Pickerings Triangle. Two very, very different versions of the same target. This is a part of the cygnus loop, which is a large bubble of gas from a supernova that happened 6000 years ago.
The first image is a closeup of the hydrogen and oxygen gases where I have removed the stars for a better view of the nebula itself. This image was shot with my 12" RC with a focal length of 2400mm and is pure narrowband data. 10 hours of data of 10 min subs.
The second image is from the same region, but shot in full spectrum, one-shot RGB colour. It was taken on my 11" RASA with a focal length of 640mm, so a much wider field of view. 2h20m of integration of 3 min subs.
Gosto muitooo! #science#womansinscience#biomédica#bióloga#mestre#doutoranda#uerj

Since we all know money talks I am going to highlight a charity each month that supports black/women/BIPOC communities with food equity as the goal. I will also be donating at least $50 to each charity each month and encourage everyone to donate what they can. For the month of July I am highlighting @blackfoodjustice - an organization dedicated to food sovereignty for Black people (ability to control our food). Access to healthy sustainable food for everyone has always been a passion of mine and this organization will help to realize this. Find out more at their website
Giant sequoias and California redwoods (also called coast redwoods) are nature's skyscrapers. These enormous trees exist primarily in Northern California, Oregon and Washington and though they have a number of common characteristics, including distinctive cinnamon-red bark, they are different species.
Giant sequoias can grow to be about 30 feet (9 meters) in diameter and more than 250 feet (76 m) tall. The biggest of these behemoths is General Sherman, a giant sequoia in Sequoia National Park. General Sherman stands 275 feet (84 m) tall, has a 102-foot (31 m) circumference, and weighs an incredible 2.7 million lbs. (1.2 million kilograms).
#Today Chandra is gazing at galaxy IC 342. This spiral galaxy is shrouded in gas & dust, earning it the nickname of the Hidden Galaxy. Located about 11 million light years from Earth, the Hidden Galaxy would be one of the brightest galaxies in our sky if it were not obscured by so much interstellar material.

“Carl and I fell in love that same spring while we were making the golden record. We had known each other for three years as platonic friends and co-workers, each committed to another person. In that other life I had asked Carl if it would be possible for our imagined extraterrestrials to decipher the signals from a recording of a meditation that registered my EEG, EKG, and REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. Carl replied, “Billions of years is a long time, Annie. Go do it.”
The recording session at a New York hospital fell only two days after we had blurted out our feelings to each other in a long-distance phone call and decided to marry. My thought itinerary for the meditation included a broad narrative of the multibillion-year history of our planet. Toward the end of the hour, I permitted myself a personal exploration of the love that I had discovered only hours before. My fresh joy at finding my heart’s true home will endure on those records longer than Earth itself.”
While the Great Pyramid of Giza remains awe-inspiring some 4,600 years after the Egyptians built it, we're only seeing its structural core today. The pyramid was originally finished with highly-polished white limestone that made its surface completely smooth and so reflective of sunlight that ancient Egyptians called it "Ikhet," meaning "Glorious Light."
