Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity to spend the morning on Saguaro Lake with a group of complete strangers - kayaking for the first time ever! As much as I love to hike, it was a so fun to see this beautiful state from another point of view.
There's no better place than the water to reflect on the world and your own life - OK, maybe it's a toss-up with the trails. But...in the water you forget that it's 110 degrees. 😂
Probably (lol) not the best conditions for grit but it was still nice to check out another venue in the sun.
The small effort of a bit of a walk in (by peak standards) was rewarded with having the crag to ourselves.
The crag consists of some quarries walls that offer a selection of trad routes and a small selection of boulders accessed by scrambling down some scree.
All the boulders could do with a bit of traffic to clean them up but were good none the less!

Racism is a kind of discrimination that existed from a very early time. There has been tons of diversity types, like rich and poor, beautiful and ugly, bright and foolish, high class and low class, man and woman and worst of all black and white, a gift from god that is so beautiful that humankind gets blind of it's beauty and choose to not believe in it. They have treated all these diversities in a foolish way of not realizing that there are only two kinds of people, good and bad.... All those struggles our former freedom fighters and leaders took has gone out to the waste even after all these years.... Being busy in the race of developing countries... We have forgotten about humanity... Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks and all such leaders have fought for humanity all their life as much as they could and now it's our moment for action....
God created black and white to reflect each other to make the world even more beautiful... Why would God create black and white on his greatest creation if it weren't so beautiful.... So now is our moment for action... This is not for just the Black, this is for all humankind..... We say everything or everyone has a dark side and hearing that ,we think it is the negative side of the person but why not think that it is the positive side... This is how the world works, thoughts like these have made this world racist.... Why not think that white is bad and black is good? No, cause our ancestors have made some fucked up customs that projects black as the devil....
This can be changed as our generation has grown into a group of really bright people.... So let's stand together and say goodbye to all those discriminations out there.....
Truthfully, I find the most joy out of designing new spaces in our home. Or in the van.
I remember about year ago when we were planning for our first big van trip and we needed something functional for us to live on the road for 2 weeks, but you don’t have to forfeit cuteness for functionality. 😂
And I am still in love with our simple build to this day.
I won’t ever be sorry for creating spaces simply for the sake of creating something pretty — something that I like to look at, or share, or just sit + enjoy.
Say it with me:
You’re allowed to have functional
+ you’re allowed to have CUTE.
Just ask Nick. 😏
That being said, we are veryyyy close to making the stock tank pool happen. Cross your fingers, friends, because I’m already dreaming up the dreamiest of backyards. ✨
