At the beginning of 2020, I made a commitment to bettering my health and well-being. In less than 2 months I’ll be turning 60. While I don’t feel old in my head, my body tells me otherwise.😁 I’ve been struggling with seeing my body change as far as weight gain, wrinkles, grey hair and a general slow down physically. Winter always sends me into a slight depression. I know a lot of people do their workouts at home, walk and other things for themselves. I decided to become a member of Club Dauntless mainly because of its various exercise equipment and classes. Thank you Club Dauntless for providing a wonderful place to work out at. Plus if you’re worried about other people watching you while you’re working out, don’t! We’re all there for the same reason. To better our health and well-being. I challenge anyone who’s on the fence to go and give it a try. It’s a wonderful facility that’s very clean and welcoming! #clubdauntless#greybullwyoming#seniorcitizen#workoutmotivation

There are nearly 103 million senior citizens in India and earlier it was believed that post- retirement is a time when a person has reached the end of an active life. Recently, there is this realization that a person has at least around 20 to 30 years of active life even after retirement and this void needs to be filled.
A 3 days Heartfulness introduction session was organised for the members of the senior citizen's club at Sangvi, on 22nd, 23rd and 24th Feb 2020 with a motive to help them engage themselves with something as reliable and progressive as Meditation. The sesions covered all the essential aspects of the meditation practice including relaxation, rejuvenation and connecting to the inner self. These sessions were well received by nearly 25 participants present there and they tried to put in words, the calmness and joy that was experiences by them during these sesions.
As we get older, it's normal to feel—and hard to admit—we may require help with daily living tasks. Often, it is up to families and caregivers to recognize the signs that indicate when we need senior care. Find out “Four Ways to Know If Your Loved One May Need Senior Care” at the #linkinbio .⠀
My best friend turned 10 this past month. She has stolen my heart. She has been there for me more than anyone has in my entire life. When I cry, she helps me, when I’m anxious, she’s by my side, when I’m sad, she’s sad, when I’m happy, she’s happy. If humans had unconditional love the way dogs do, think of how much better the world would be. “When I reached for a hand, I found a paw”. They really do make us better. #10#heidi#pekegnese#pekehund#dachshund#seniorcitizen

You will see residents biking around Brentwood or building their strength and confidence in a balance class. Or simply relaxing, sipping a glass of wine at the on-site Fireside Grille.
This is more than just Southern hospitality. People are happy here doing what brings them joy and fulfillment. And it shows.
Miss Julia, 91, decided to celebrate the end of her physical therapy after a hospital stay by doing the jitterbug. “I’m loving life,” she said. You go, Miss Julia! 💃

Meet David and his lovely cat companion, Bella. The two have been inseparable for quite some time and, like many senior citizens, he would do anything for his cat, even give up his only meal to keep Bella fed.
When Lisa De Rose, Director of Napa Meals On Wheels, learned that David was doing just that, she reached out to Brenda Burke, manager of JARR’s Senior Citizen Pet Wellness (SCPW) program for help. Now, after several months of receiving pet food, flea prevention, and bi-annual health exams as a member of the JARR #SCPWprogram , David wanted to share his story.
When JARR asked David how the SCPW Program helped him and Bella, David replied, "Where do I start! I rely on JARR for dry cat food, flea medication, and someone to look out for her health. What a relief to be able to take part in this program!" JARR strives to keep animals in their homes whenever possible and our much-needed SCPW program does just that.
