The desire to see atman indicates one already has it within oneself. **
This is the second time I came to Agra to see Taj Mahal, perhaps due to the heavy pollution in Agra, my tears welled up when the translucent white marble structure first appeared in sight... Tagore poetically called it “A teardrop on the face of eternity”.. yet no amount of description can quite prepare one for such a meeting... the meeting with the fairest. Someone once said we travel the world to find ourselves, perhaps I can add that we come in front of great beauty so we can experience its equal lies within us. My dear Teacher once said “ The most beautiful person you will ever meet is Yourself”... Therefore, come to Taj Mahal, if you desire to meet the fairest in you! ** Atman, usually means the individual self, here means the higher Self. #tajmahal#agra#shahjahan#india#泰姬陵

So, last year i visited this place with family and even though i knew always that it's one of the seven wonders of the world and it's beauty was mesmerizing!! I never really was excited to see it!! I still remember thinking that okay let's go!! It will be a nice one trip! But as soon as we bought our tickets and i stepped in!! Trust me the view was so beautiful!! It didn't feel like just a monument but a beautiful entity!! As if the architects of this place has put life into it and it's a living breathing thing!! That was the moment i realised why tajmahal is one of the seven wonders of our world!! 🌍
Musamman Burj also known as the Saman Burj or the Shah-burj, is an octagonal tower standing close to the Shah Jahan's private hall Diwan-e-Khas in Agra Fort.
Musamman Burj was built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is said that at first a small marble palace built by Akbar was situated at this site, which was later demolished by Jehangir to erect new buildings. Shah Jahan in his turn chose this site to erect the multi-storied marble tower inlaid with precious stones for Mumtaz Mahal. It was built between 1631–40 and offers exotic views of the famous Taj Mahal.

The Red Fort Complex was built as the palace fort of Shahjahanabad – the new capital of the fifth Mughal Emperor of India, Shah Jahan. Named for its massive enclosing walls of red sandstone, it is adjacent to an older fort, the Salimgarh, built by Islam Shah Suri in 1546, with which it forms the Red Fort Complex. The private apartments consist of a row of pavilions connected by a continuous water channel, known as the Nahr-i-Behisht (Stream of Paradise). The Red Fort is considered to represent the zenith of Mughal creativity which, under the Shah Jahan, was brought to a new level of refinement. ********************************
