Seven Scared Pools in full force... #Repost@travelin_shan with @repostapp.
This stop on Hana Highway was one of the top sights on my "to-see" list. The 'Ohe'o Gulch is more commonly known as the Seven Sacred Pools, the most popular sight in East Maui. Located in Haleakala National Park, the stop has washroom facilities and offers hiking (a grueling 15 min uphill), trekking to the lower pools, swimming and photo-ops...pending drier weather. When I visited and this shot was taken, the pools were closed due to heavy rainfall in the previous days. Even so, I felt fulfilled at the sight with these powerful waterfalls gradually cascading between the pools until they met the pristine blue water of the Pacific Ocean crashing on the Kipahulu Coastline. This is a must-see, bucket-list, sight while in Maui! Shout out to Bjorn @RobertsHawaii who made this the most amazing experience!
