This has been my number 1 priority the past week. Little Miss has Strep Throat. 😷 With my holistic approach we have broken the fever and her ears are now clear. Just working on the severely blocked nose today. 🤧 Tried everything; Neti pot just confirmed there is no access to anything going in to help flush her sinuses. 😫 The only modality I know WILL work is hydration. 💦 Pray for me. 🙏🏼 The famous saying; “never work with animals or children” is becoming more clear. #thebattleisreal She’s my toughest patient to date. 👩🏻⚕️ On the upside, her swollen tonsils have gone down. I’m feeding her vitamins and minerals to boost her immune system. Explaining to her about the little soldiers in her body, fueling them to keep fighting the bad bacteria has been a great visual to help her get through it. #ivegotthis 💪🏽

The universe reminding me, my cup truly runneth over. I may be beat, exhausted, barely able to move, but I am so grateful for those in my life who help me and put up with me moaning on the floor from time to time. #gratitude#sickday#somuchfortheweekend
I'm home alone and sick as heck so I took the liberty of spending the last hour drawing this travesty on my arm with an eyeliner pencil. It all happened so fast. 😂 #SickDay#Tattoo#WTH#No#DontQuitYourDayJob
I got my first ever @fabfitfun box, and I love it!
It’s been waiting to be opened for a few days... I really wanted to unbox it in a video, but I’m too sick to record (no one wants to hear this froggy voice 🐸)! I’m glad I didn’t wait any longer to open it, because I really need some of these self-care products while I’m waiting to feel better 🤧
Still sick but had to go to a work meeting.. Feeling very dead.. had a 3ish hour nap and decided to organize my sock drawer to find that i have so many missing pairs of socks.. Late post: Oct. 15 #sickday#dayoff#socks#socksproblems#missingsocks
I've been sitting on my couch a lot this weekend, feeling super low energy due to this darn cold🙄
I've been sleeping heaps but a girl can only sleep so much.
So I'm checking my messages and my clients keep blowing me up... "I just booked a discovery call," "I signed two new clients," "My FB video got 100 views". “I hit 6k this month”. You guys inspire me so much!
So now I'm working and watching. #thisismeresting

My clients are so freaking awesome, putting it all on the line for their business, being honest and open, and getting amazing results because of it.
I'm so grateful to be supporting them as they achieve freedom and get paid to do work they love. #MyClientsAreTheBest

Little man isn’t feeling too hot, so I had to show him some of Dads favorite toys that we can play with indoors... HOT WHEELS!
First ones in Logan’s collection, ‘65 Chevy short bed, ‘72 Bronco Baja edition. .
My heart rate has been over 80 all day, I burnt approximately 1,041 calories just by having a lay in! 😂 #porsproblems#tachycarid
Anyway, I recovered this afternoon by doing crafts! I was able to forget about my health and everything around me for a couple of hours.
Of course, lucozade has been my best friend today, I don’t know why but it’s my favourite drink when I’m ill. Only the original flavour though, and it HAS to bee cold.
Hope everyone’s had a good day!
What do you do when things don't happen as planned? -I planned this day differently -Barry was going to be with his #dogsitter -I was going to be healthy and on call 24h -I'm in pain, all my family is abroad and my hubby in another city. -my friends are also far away or unavailable. - I need more medicine and I don't want to walk out of the door. - corneal abrasion is the most painful thing I ever imagine, nothing seems to work.
Nada me ayuda. #help#pain#cornealabrassion#recovery#sickday#doglove#bodyguarddogg#emotionalsupport
Verdict: really nasty virus, asthma in the question...weird. My lil sis has asthma, but me, only with high elevation did I use to react when I went to college in Erie, PA. So this is weird for me. I use to have an inhaler but never really used it. No pneumonia and no flu. A slight fever, but it’s good the doc said.
I’m finally breathing without the wheezing and congestion. Feel like shit, but so happy and relieved to breathe without a coughing fit and wheezing! Damn virus! I CAN BREATHE! Yay!
"GOD WILL ALWAYS TEST YOUR STRENGTHS AND PATIENCE"
Today it's my Turn
A Day to be remember!
Health is wealth, take care of your health first
Nothing is more than health😂
Note ' 19th Oct 2019
Thought I was feeling a little better yesterday but that cold crept back in and knocked me on my behind this morning. I’ll be here for the rest of the day. 😷 Ro was sweet and brought her book upstairs to read to me. ❤️ Levi also wanted to join in...by playing an iPad game. 😂😂😂 #blessit#sickday
A sick weekend calls for bone broth, tea, and herbal remedies💛😷Listening to my body and taking this time for resting and reflecting

🌿 6 MUST HAVE HERBS FOR COLD AND FLU SEASON 🌿
As many animals around us begin to collect and store food in preparation for the colder months, it’s time for us, too, to stock up on herbs! These 6 essential herbs are our favorites for supporting the body during cold and flu season. By strengthening the immune system, easing common symptoms, and assisting in recovery after an infection, each of these herbs has something unique to offer us. 🌱
Peppermint is a traditional herb used for fevers, colds, and flus due to its antimicrobial, diaphoretic, and analgesic actions. It’s also an anticongestant and antitussive (cough relieving). Inhalation of the volatile oils, including menthol, in peppermint oil or tea helps ease nasal congestion in the most pleasant, aromatic way. ✨
Thyme has long been favored by herbalists as a go-to herb for breathing difficulties and for any kind of imbalance that encroaches upon the respiratory system. Thyme acts as a bronchodilator and as an anti-inflammatory agent and is used to address asthma, bronchitis, whooping cough, pneumonia, and the common cold. It is often used as a tea, a gargle, or with honey to expel mucus. Choose thyme for mucusy respiratory conditions with productive coughs (rather than dry coughs), as it is drying. 🕊️ ECHINACEA
You know it’s coming – we're entering the inevitable cold and flu season! ⛅
Cold and flu season can hit like a tidal wave; when one person begins feeling unwell, you know that more cases are likely on the way! The good news is that our kitchen cupboards and herbal pantries may just hold the secret to beating the bugs this season. We’re unpacking some of our favorite cold and flu herbs, herbal recipes, and preventative tips for you in our brand new offering, Herbal Support for Cold and Flu Season Ebook. ☕
Our Cold and Flu Ebook is full of essential herbal recipes to have on-hand before sickness presents itself, for helping to ease symptoms, and to shorten your down-time when an infection has already taken hold. One of our favorite, easy preparations during this time is Garlic Honey – find the recipe below! 🐝 GARLIC HONEY 🐝
3 garlic (Allium sativum) bulbs
Peel and separate the cloves and chop or grate.
Fill a sterilized, dry jar about half full with chopped garlic cloves, then cover with honey.
Poke through the honey with a sterilized, dry spoon to make sure that all of the garlic is covered.
Cap and label the jar, and store for up to 3 months.
To use, take 1 teaspoon once a day as a tonic or 4-6 times a day during an active infection.
My son currently has a throat infection and it’s been a long old day and night. When your little one is fighting a cold, food is usually the last thing on their mind. I always used to stress out about food when my little guy had a cold but this is what I find works for us now; I incorporate all of the above and for the first couple of days I stick to offering small, frequent snacks until his appetite builds back up.
➡️ Hydrating fruit - hydration is the most important thing to ensure when your little one is sick.
➡️ Honey - contains high antibacterial properties & antimicrobial compounds to suppress coughs and boosts the immune system. My son isn’t so keen on honey but now he’s 2, I explain its medicine for when he is poorly ⭐️(no honey for under 1’s)⭐️.
➡️ Turmeric - one of the best known spices for fighting colds.
➡️ Ginger - superb for inflammation.
➡️ Garlic - immune boosting and has been used to help fight colds for centuries.
➡️ Vitamin C - much needed with colds. I actually always used to reach for oranges but broccoli, bell peppers strawberries are also a superb source of Vit C.
➡️ Healthy Fat - high calorie, good fats are a great option as most kids lose their appetite.
. ➡️ Protein - nuts and seeds work well for us and chickpea pasta id always my go to. I break the nuts into smaller pieces for my son but for younger ones you can grind them and add the nut powder to other food. Hemp hearts are also a great source of protein. ⭐️ no whole nuts or seeds for under 5’s⭐️. .
I’d love to hear what you find works for your little ones 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

We're officially a week into October, and that means cold and flu season is definitely on its way. These 6 essential herbs will be your greatest allies in wellness during this time! (and be sure to source organic, responsibly cultivated echinacea or grow your own, this is an at-risk plant!) You can still download the @herbalacademy Cold and Flu Ebook for free through their bio – it's full of recipes, herbs, and tips to support your body through this sensitive time.
Thank you everyone for the well wishes and your favorite remedies. I’ve got a big pot of tea, some toast, and my read to enjoy. It seems like the only thing I can do is read.
How’s your Thursday? What’s one thing you’re looking forward to today?
