Happy Wednesday evening! It’s #humpday 🐪 and I love this midweek feeling! I’m quite tired as it was my first day back at the office 😴. I’m also looking for inspiration for a new blog for obsowheat.com (link in bio) ... any ideas 💡?
@dashengmincedporknoodle is my go to bcm. Awards are given to food joints based not only on how good the food is, but also how consistently good it is. Week in, week out, my son and I eat at this stall. The more we talk to the young boss that runs this stall, the more we understand the labour of love that is this bowl of bcm. Each ingredient is carefully curated and the sum of the whole is a majestic bowl of noodles! .
Anyone that knows me, knows I love Chinese food. Whenever someone suggests a restaurant, my answers always a Chinese restaurant and my go to order is Singapore Noodles.
So, I decided to have a go at making Singapore noodles. I used @changsasianfood Vermicelli noodles which were so easy to prepare. All I had to do was put them in a bowl with hot water straight from the packet. Anything that cuts down cooking time is a big yes from me!
The yummy spices are still lingering in my kitchen. Yum! 🍜
Spent the morning learning how to make authentic Singaporean noodles from my very talented friend @paulanordholt. She said that these are a very typical breakfast and the ultimate comfort food - and now I only want to eat these noodles for breakfast ... and lunch ... and dinner 🤤
Now you don't have to order take out before you treat yourself to a sumptuous meal of Singapore noodles or wait till you go to parties before you order the oriental menu. 💃💃💃💃. #ifyskitchensingaporenoodles#singaporenoodles
My online classes will be starting soon so get ready to become an awesome cook🙌🙌🙌👍.
Singapore noodles 🍜, a Hong Kong favorite, are often so heavily seasoned with curry powder that they can feel unpleasantly dusty and gritty. We start by blooming the curry powder in oil, which smooths out the texture and intensifies the flavor. Tap the link in our profile for the recipe.

Homemade Singapore Noodles 🍲
It's amazing to be able to cook something you love to eat. I used Rice Noodles, Chicken, Shrimps, Eggs, Green & Red Pepper, Soy Sauce, Oyster Sauce and Turmeric Powder. It was incredibly quick and delicious. Do you want the full recipe? #singaporenoodles#thekitchenmuse
