In my last post I shared with you the value of working with a freelancer and today, I'm going to share how you can do it successfully.
When you're a small business owner, you're running the whole show - admin, customer service, accounts, marketing, sales, website, product/service design. It can get a bit much for anyone.
Look at the list I just mentioned above, these are all departments of running your business. They all need to happen otherwise the wheels stop spinning and everything comes crashing down.
How does it work?
Choose the areas that demand most of your time and look for someone to help you. It will change your life and your business.
How much do they charge?
Most freelancers will quote either hourly, daily or project rates. What does that mean?
You buy blocks of time. Either hourly blocks of 8, or 1 day a week or 2 days a month etc or they give you a price for the project you want to focus on.
If you ask for a project rate, let's say you want to refresh your website and put more focus on the blog area. So here you are asking for a specific project to happen and you want it asap.
And if you're feeling anxious about the time they use, make sure you set deliverables: 4 social media posts / 2 blogs / 4 designs etc. When you see the work flow come in, you'll know they are working for you as promised. And remember to pay them as quickly as they delivered for you! 😊
Happy to answer any questions if you're still looking for clarification.
Grab a coffee and let's hope the second half of the year will be different! ☕

Lots of things, but what we’re going to highlight is probably not what you’re expecting 🙃
Here’s what we’re going to focus on: + Their navigation is so clean and so simple. There are four navigation labels, and they make it very obvious what a website visitor can expect to find under each section. + The font is nice and big. There are way too many websites out there that have tiny, unreadable fonts. Having your website font erre a little bit on the larger size makes sure folks don’t have to strain their eyes when they visit.

Supporting the local economy 📈, protecting the environment 🌿 and ensuring the survival of her company 🏬: for Anie Rouleau, founder of @unscentedco, the current crisis has had an unexpected positive influence on her business.
With the rising necessity for soaps, detergents and dishwashing liquids, the pump required for the company’s bottled soaps has become increasingly scarce as it is manufactured outside of North America. For the entrepreneur, this chink in the supply chain was an opportunity to adapt her products.
It’s small business Saturday and I’ve been doing some thinking about what’s going on with our fellow Americans who have colored skin. Because of this I’ve decided to change it up and recommend that you find whatever local bookstore you can and buy local author @ijeomaoluo book “So you want to talk about race”. If you already have it please make a donation to @blklivesmatter the @naacp or any other organization that is helping black people get the rights they deserve. Or shop at a black owned business. If you can do all of the above, and do it every day. This is a huge issue, it’s not gonna go away until we make the changes we need. It’s not ok, just like it’s not ok for woman to be treated differently, which we all seem to understand. Racial injustice is no different. We as white business owners have the power to make waves either good or bad. I’m choosing for good. Put your money in the right place. Hire the right people. Call out injustice and refuse service to anyone who is intolerant of any race, creed, background, disability, sexual orientation, religion etc. EVERY TIME. NO EXCEPTIONS. Thanks for coming to my ted talk. 😁

It’s a little late in the day(hey who even knows what day it is anymore?) but it’s small business Saturday and one thing I really want to do with this platform is supply y’all with good local business referrals! Today I received a mask from Colleen in the mail and it’s incredible. It fits so well around the nose, has a pouch for additional filters and she has A TON of really fun patterns. We’ve known Colleen for years and purchased many of her roller derby shorts and skirts and never once have we been disappointed! I still have the skirt my derby daughter wore like every day for 2 years, it looks brand new. If you need a mask, or custom sewing check her out! @colleenscreativesew

✨WHY CHOOSE ME✨
Being in healthcare, I never really thought the term “sales” would cross my mind. After being a small business owner AND in the healthcare industry for the last few months, I’ve come to the realization I am in fact “selling myself” and my services to my clients.
Like you’ve probably read in some of my recent posts, I left my corporate PT job to purse my dream of owning my own practice and providing THE very BEST care for my patients an clients. My goal has and always will be that when my clients leave me, they feel empowered, educated, and one step closer to achieving their personal goals.
I like to think my practice and approach are both different and exactly what everyone needs to help move smarter, perform better, and live optimally. I provide ONE on ONE care, meaning its you and ME the entire time, no one else for a FULL hour, sometimes longer:). When’s the last time you went to a doctors office (primary care, physical therapist, or chiropractor) for an ENTIRE hour (with no wait time) and you were assessed, treated, and educated. Sadly enough, our healthcare system has not been built for or allowed for that, BUT I am on a mission to change that.
As a cash based physical therapy practice, I do not accept insurance. Why?Due the burden of billing insurance and less reimbursement these days, many in-network clinics not only see patients at a high frequency (2-3x/week) but they also have to delegate skilled intervention to assistants, leading to minimal time with the physical therapist and in my opinion, decreased quality care. Although this type of high volume care may work for straight forward injuries, it can decrease optimal and lasting improvement for more challenging and advanced injuries.
It is well-established that private pay PT results in fewer visits than in-network services, at lower total costs to the consumer. This is primarily because you spend 100% of your time with a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy like myself.
I promise to always provide one-on-one care with exceptional focus, attention, and detail at EVERY visit. If you or anyone you know is interested in this or physical therapy please reach out! 💕
