Something horrible had happened!!! My mom bought my daughter an American Girl! I will never be able to buy clothes for her. Let me put it this way, my (almost) 3 year old daughters clothes are cheaper than American Girl clothes.

Well.....we ALMOST made it 6 months without having to visit the vet.... 🙄 #soexpensive
Bouncing back to the other side of Europe again - to Copenhagen! I would've loved to have kept my travels in Europe more carbon-friendly by going everywhere by train or bus, but this is the second of three times I will have to jump cross-continent to meet up with friends and family that don't work nicely into my itinerary.
But wow it has been so good to spend time with a friend from home! Meeting up with @helenahholmgren was exactly what I needed, both a great local tourguide showing me her home country and culture, and a welcome vacation from the social merry-go-round of hostel life. Perfect travel buddy, but sadly we didn't get one selfie together!
I also have to thank Helena for making me visit Denmark, which would not have been on the itinerary because it is bloody expensive. 2x Melbourne prices, and Melbourne isn't cheap!! But I'm so glad I got to see it anyway - what a gorgeous city!!

Every girl dreams of a wedding, but you know what she doesn’t dream of or probably even consider? The price tags.
My parents have been so giving and have funded almost all of the wedding and all the little details, but when I met with my mom & our florist, we were already at budget without one of the things I really really wanted. One of those things that don’t really matter.
$750. That’s what it cost. I had no idea how I’d pay for it, but again, I really really wanted it. So, I knew I’d make it happen.
For the first time in my life, I am able to write a check like this at the end of the pay period. I am able to contribute something to this amazing wedding my parents are creating for us. I am able to be anything other than financially UNABLE.
That $750 came from 𝐨𝐧𝐞 month of coaching income + a little left over from my teaching income this month. I started this back in January to dig myself out of the depressed, self-loathing hole I’d dug. Never did I imagine it would help me literally create the day I’ve dreamed about my entire life. 👰🏻💍
The money has been an added bonus to everything else this journey has blessed me with, but had I never taken the risk, I wouldn’t have this “doesn’t matter anyway” detail that I always wanted.
The coaching job listing never closes, never fills up. It’s an open invitation to taking the leap of faith, working on yourself first, and earning an income at the same. damn. time.
What “doesn’t matter anyway” thing could you buy with an extra $500 a month?
Because in reality, you could have it. 💃
At the end of the day, the real question we are all answering is...
“What tastes like home?”
And for me the winner will always be @innout#1 with chopped chilies/ spread & cheese only, well done fries, & some extra chilies on the side...

Today I put up a story asking if anyone else suffers from transport because they don't have a car (I don't have one in Jordan). Then everyone started asking me well why don't you just get a car? 🙃 Let me tell you - do y'all know how expensive cars are in Jordan?!?!? Lemme give an anecdote. A few months back I started a car hunt and was super excited to find a '98 Jeep Cherokee for only $3,000, come to find out that the owner works for the UN and got the car duty-free (any foreigner here that works in a UN agency or embassy can get a car duty free - wish I'd known that before working for a local organization lolol). Wanna know how much it would cost me to pay the customs on it? Almost thirty.thousand.dollars. THIRTY THOUSAND on a car that's 20 years old and only costs $3k!!! That's why I don't have a car. (And yes it's possible to get something for less than that but the idea is that in general, cars are stupid expensive here. That is all.)
