As I sat snuggled in with my family last night during scripture study, I had this strong thought: "We're going to be okay." We've had some challenges these past few months. Some I've shared, some I haven't. Some are resolved, some ongoing. And I'm bracing myself to try to hear up for my next ketamine treatment.
But that thought came through so clear and persistent.
We're going to be okay.
And we are. We've got each other. We've got our God. And He's got us. ❤️
What a blooming great day! Took us 12.5 hours from car to car. 2 hours to get to the base of the route, 7 hours to climb it as a three man team (and had to wait a fair amount of time for some guys in front of us to pass the gap) and 3.5 hours to hobble back to the car. A bit broken today but very excited to have climbed the north face of Ben Nevis.
First time simul climbing, first time free soloing that high with that much exposure. All on very big hand and feet holds so risk is high but imminent danger is low.
Thanks for the awesome day, banter and constant psyche @robtru and Guy. Very much appreciate the encouragement even though I was having kittens most of the way up.
