'Ad lib.' by Michele Spanghero: a set of organ pipes played by an electromedical device for artificial ventilation. Having spent many hours with this artwork, I became particularly attached to it. While working in my office, I could hear it breathing from the room next to mine, struggling with human fatigue and delivering a peaceful musicality at the same time. I wrote a review on this beautiful work, which is today more meaningful than ever before.
Text @lucia_longhi
"Équinoxe" by Adrien M & Claire B captivates the eyes as much as the ears and acts intensely on the imagination. The show confronts Adrien M & Claire B universe with that of the Parisian group Limousine whose instrumental music, with a strong cinematographic coloring, oscillates very elegantly between electro, pop and jazz to better convey the listener to elsewhere. 🌐 #orbinstaart
Bernie Krause.
“Highlight of this soundscape, the baboons heard here appear to bark percussively when facing granite walls in order to extend the range of their voices in an otherwise acoustically limited environment, creating long reverberation effects that can be heard from one kilometer away.” Bernie Krause.

Presenting Sound Graffiti in Manchester at the VRN Conference, October 2019.
We are made of Light
That is also knowledge,
We know how to adapt.
As species, we have been roaming this Earth for millions of years, taken different shapes and forms.
We have done it since the begining of time..
The power is within.
We are entering a new world where we can no longer see things as fragmented or in an individualistic view,
But as a whole.
Everyone in the world is now concerned by the same uncertainty and questionning about the unknown, without any distinction whatsoever of national or social origin, religion,
Political belief or other status.
We all breath the same air..
In our most vulnerable state is where we touch our most powerful inner resources, that is where true power lies (not in external forces).
Many now understand that money and material goods are useless without health and that the closer we are to our spirit the more control we have over our lives.
That also reverses the most damaging trend in modern society that is the desperate urge to flee from ourselves.
Old systems and ways of doing things are crumbling while the path towards change is opening up. The steps ahead are ours to take. The Power is not only for a selected few, the Power is within each and everyone of us. We need to reconsider the things that have true value.
By taking a closer look at ourselves and clearing our energy, we will see a shift in the external reality.
We have Light within us that is also knowledge, let's allow it to guide us through by
Being the calm in the storm so we can help people around us
Being grateful for even the smallest things is what now has the most value
Highlighting and valuing simplicity, the genuine that was forgotten
Keeping our frequencies high
Rethink how to consume resources
Time to join forces and move forward
Stay in Light
We will share the second part of this poem/Electric Nomad with you in a few days.

Repetition doesn’t really exist.
As far as your mind is concerned, nothing happens the same twice, even if in every technical sense, the thing is identical. Your perception is constantly shifting. It doesn’t stay in one place.

This is Khanyo’s Voice
Khanyo is a poet from South Africa. She has lived in Clonakilty Direct Provision for over 4 years. I walked with Khanyo several times over the Land Walks project listening and recording her stories of walking in Africa, of the sounds, smells and landscape there. .
As many of us are stuck in our little isolation pods at home why not take a listen to Khanyo and my own walk on - ‘Inchydoney
Beach Road’ or if you are based in West Cork - go out and walk the same route in our footsteps while listening to the recording. - link in bio -
A kinetic sonic sculpture, featuring the Teleplexer and @littlebits !
The sounds of small motors were the inspiration for this installation, which creates random rhythms and textures with a Teleplexer, three oscillators and a pair of servo motors from littleBits.
More details on the installation below:
A pair of alligator clips, attached to rotating servo motors and suspended from mic stands, drag across the surface of a Teleplexer. The alligator clips each have an offset voltage from Maths running through them. .
Depending on the pad they land on, any combination of the three Teleplexer outputs will be engaged. .
The Teleplexer’s outputs are patched to open three low pass gates, through which Hard Synced oscillators from the DPO and an STO are routed. .

New collection of Cymatic photos offered for the first time as prints.
Cymatics is the study of sound and vibration made visible.
These new works reveal a fundamental story, a representation of the transformative flow from chaos to order, and it is my Intention that the viewer appreciates sound on a deeper level, while being brought into harmony with the musical nature of our world.
Next up is "trine," for three hanging speakers, steel jewelry chain, and 3D-printed plastic. "The audio playing through the speakers is from a recording of three intimate partners talking about their relationship with one another, rendered unrecognizable by converting each person’s speech into very low frequencies, but carrying the cadence of conversation. The mesh ripples up and down, carrying waves across its shimmering surface.
Perfectly opposite phase is impossible among three speakers; one will always be moving in the same direction as at least one other. True reciprocal movement cannot ever be realized with these three bodies. Each speaker connects to the other along the side in individual, chained partnerships, and across the fabric of the polyamorous union."
