When wearing a mask in public, please ensure the entirety of your moth and nose are covered by the fabric. A mask around your chin or with your nose exposed doesn't help stop the spread of disease or keep you safe! The more of us who wear masks properly, the better off we are.

Psalm 10 “O Lord, why do you stand so far away? Why do you hide when I am in trouble? The wicked arrogantly hunt down the poor. Let them be caught in the evil they plan for others. For they brag about their evil desires; they praise the greedy and curse the Lord. The wicked are too proud to seek God. They seem to think that God is dead. Yet they succeed in everything they do. They do not see your punishment awaiting them. They sneer at all their enemies. They think, “Nothing bad will ever happen to us! We will be free of trouble forever!” Their mouths are full of cursing, lies, and threats. Trouble and evil are on the tips of their tongues. They lurk in ambush in the villages, waiting to murder innocent people. They are always searching for helpless victims. Like lions crouched in hiding, they wait to pounce on the helpless. Like hunters they capture the helpless and drag them away in nets. Their helpless victims are crushed; they fall beneath the strength of the wicked. The wicked think, “God isn’t watching us! He has closed his eyes and won’t even see what we do! Arise, O Lord! Punish the wicked, O God! Do not ignore the helpless! Why do the wicked get away with despising God? They think, “God will never call us to account.” But you see the trouble and grief they cause. You take note of it and punish them. The helpless put their trust in you. You defend the orphans. Break the arms of these wicked, evil people! Go after them until the last one is destroyed. The Lord is king forever and ever! The godless nations will vanish from the land. Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them. You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed, so mere people can no longer terrify them.”
A Song of Lament. Here at ASC, our pursuit is of transformation, rooted in the love of Jesus. We are a multi-ethnic, intergenerational, international, Spirit-led church. As our city, nation, and world cry for justice, healing, and equality we continue to support restorative justice and pray for transformation of hearts and minds. We condemn these racist actions that have taken place. [cont’d in comments]
Craft beer has a pizza my heart 🍕❤️ @flatstickpub SLU is open for to-go orders. You can order online ahead of time or just drop on in!
Check the website or app for current hours of operation and tap lists!
Here are some foods that we picked up this morning at the SLU farmers market☺️we got our favorite lemon curd Greek yogurt from @ellenosyogurt 🍋 and also stopped by the stand next door which happened to be 9th and Hennepin’s fried-to-order doughnuts 🍩 we tried their filled brioche thumbprint which was filled with a bay leaf pudding and covered in a blackberry glaze 😋 we’ve never tried bay leaf pudding but it was a great complement to the blackberry glaze🤯each donut is fried to order so when you get it, it’s still warm! Just how doughnuts are supposed to be🤗 Fun Fact: Justin, the owner of 9th & Hennepin doesn’t use dyes in his glazes and relies on natural coloring from the raw ingredients 🥳 The last Thursday SLU farmers market is on October 10th so make sure to check it out before then🤪
Prices: 8 Oz yogurt~$5.50 Brioche donut~$3/each😇
Great sunny start to the next fortnight here in #Seattle ! Trusty Starbucks in hand obviously for a pretentious touch to finish. 😂☕️

#repost from @olsonkundig: “The transparent and accessible podium level of @9thandThomas is articulated in an eclectic style that references the evolutionary process of South Lake Union. The building has parts and pieces that move and change, open and close. It intentionally invites walk-in traffic, and my hope is that the public lobby slows down the neighborhood and establishes a sense of place.” –Tom Kundig, FAIA, RIBA, Design Principal.” 📸: @aaronleitz
