Although "speaking moistly" is certainly frowned upon, moisture on the surface of our butter is absolutely normal.
There are two reasons why you might see droplets of moisture on the surface of your butter when you take the lid off or unroll the parchment.
The first is due to the ingredients.
When we flavour our butter, we like to make sure it packs a punch. Some of our feature flavour ingredients are wet or have moisture in them. And even just plain old sea salt will draw moisture!
The butter pictured is from a batch of our Spicy Maple. Although the maple sugar we used was in powder form when it was added to the butter, the moisture from the butter rehydrates it.
That brings us to the second reason: there is moisture naturally present in butter.
We are not machines, so no matter how much squeezing, patting, kneading, and working we do, there will always be some moisture left in it.
And even machines don't get out all of the moisture out. Commercially sold butter contains between 15 - 18% water!

Wanted to show my #skincare routine in action. I use the @doterraca essential line. Never been one to pay attention to my #skin just thought if I used body wash it would do the trick. @oilerlivingwithtina being a skin care therapist wanted to kindly rip my head from my shoulders 😂🤣😆 I realize it's not a whole thing to wash my face. Just 3 easy steps. Cleanser, toner, moisturizer that's all!!

Did you know that Cavendish is a Canadian Company? What companies were you surprised to find out were local to where you are?

Someone who wishes to remain anonymous said this to me this morning. I'm going to quote him/her. I share the same sentiments.
"Been reading a lot of news articles lately and I've seen a lot of people criticizing their government here in Canada. Seems to me, no matter the political party you support, they are doing the best they can in a situation that has been thrown at them.
You really don't think that these leaders don't want their children to be able to play with other children, or they're not worried everytime they hug their children, just like the rest of us?
We should maybe be thankful that we live in one of the best countries in the world and they are doing they best they can to make sure no one is left behind, even though some are and some are struggling right now.
This morning I woke up with the national anthem in my head for some reason and thought about what the words really mean.
I think that this coming up Canada Day at 3 pm, no matter what time zone you live in, everyone should step outside and sing O Canada safely. Even if you are not political, at least then we would know that we are not alone."
From a moistly speaking Canadian.
I think that this a great idea for every Canadian both here and abroad. #wearenotalone#ocanada#speakingmoistly#wecanbeatcovid19#showemwhatweremadeof#canadian#canadaproud
The kids don’t really leave the house at the moment (they don’t go to stores or anything) aside from walking the neighbourhood or maybe a car ride while I pick up something curb side, so they don’t really NEED face masks- but seeing so many people out wearing them even just on a walk is a little frightening for them (heck even for me it is taking getting used to!) So I made them a couple masks as well to help normalize the sight and to be able to talk to them a bit more about why people are wearing them and what they do. 😷 #masks4all#speakingmoistly#covid_19#pandemicparenting

I don’t get out much now obviously, but I wanted to document a little of this time in history for my own records. Standing in line to get in to @costco today. They are doing an amazing job keeping everyone distanced and safe- staff and shoppers alike. Thank you to all the hard working grocery store employees out there!❤️ #socialdistancing#covıd19#speakingmoistly#staysafe
