Crazy 18yrs ago i just turned 18 was preparing to sit my Leaving Cert & preparing for one of the biggest journeys of my life becoming a Mum 😱 but i did it & would i change any of it?? Not a chance, obviously if there is one thing in my life i would change if i could & that's have my Mam/Best Friend around but everything else has made me the woman i am today including losing her & i wouldn't change me or my life for the world. Switched things up for a huge bench day. Two 2-count pauses with 365lbs, a huge 2-count pause with 380lbs, and a crazy set of 12 with 315lbs.
Then Megan hit a few good sets of 5 with 65lbs, and a set of three with 75lbs. Look for a big 100lb bench from her in the near future!

I decided to tear down my squat and rebuild it. Since my injury I have been thinking about that so I am going to do it. So I am not doing anything to heavy just focusing on an optimal stance and technique.
As you may or may not know, my two friends and I create this prank master, idiot-trifecta that we like to refer to as The Bonnet Crew. We make quite the deadpan comedy team. We each have our own style. @shanmacofficial is sweet, approachable, with dad jokes. I’m the cerebral, crazy eyes with comebacks. @katiewayland
Let me tell you a story to explain her style.
So, as it goes.
She was hanging out at the @foxtv party with @chrisdaughtry and this incredibly forward gentleman creeper approaches dear sweet Katie and hits her with a generic “line”. Katie actually enjoys people insulting her intelligence. She sees it as an opportunity to instruct the uncouth. Fight for justice!Ensure social niceties are regarded!
So. Katie looks this man straight in the eyes. With the laser-like focus of lady liberty. “I bet I can pick you up better than you just tried to pick me up.” Katie then rises from her seat. Six inch stillettoed. Bends down to accommodate this man’s 5ft 6 stature.
She proceeds to dead lift him.
She gets about 3 squats in when he jumps out of her arms and scurries away like the world’s luckiest rabbit.
You gotta teach people.

The pic on the left is of the booty I aspire to. The one on the right is mine. I’m slowly getting there. I don’t know if I’ll ever quiet get there though because I love running so much.
I used to seek out inspirational pics like the one of the right to give myself something to work towards. Would never have dreamed I’d get as close as I have.
The takeaway from this;

Busy and feel like there’s simply not enough time for stuff? Yeah I’m there with you. We all have busy lives and obligations. Some of us are busier than others. But one thing I won’t do is make excuses. I think having my priorities set so straight in my life kept me disciplined when my motivation wasn’t up there. Priorities and time management are amazing once you familiarize yourself with them.
First semester of my senior year. The same year I started lifting. Had work at 5 am, class at 12, gym, then work again if I had the time. Basically if I wasn’t on my game my enTIRE DAY would fall apart. Didn’t pack lunch for the day? Welp hopefully I’ll find time for that. Etc etc. ‘Finding time’ is so risky. Making time is where the difference is.
Even if you’re not like me, and don’t like planning, planning is super important. Preparation is importantttt. The day before I know I have to be up early, I set up my outfit, make a lunch, and at least pack half my gym bag. I’m telling you it’s more than half the battle. All I need to do is grab it and go! Even preparing overnight oats or a quick breakfast makes it even easier. Even if you can’t make it to the gym daily that is OK! Once is better than none. Twice a week is better than none. Whatever your thing is, make TIME the night before. Just prepare! It makes all the difference. Make time blocks and set hours or periods of time to certain activities so you never risk running late.
