• Keep a record of serial numbers for valuables in case they are stolen • Make sure to be there in case of deliveries, and pick up mail. A pile up of mail can signal someone that nobody is on the premise
• Most importantly: Make sure your alarm works!

Before we start, grab a backpack or something similar where you can load a decent amount of weight.
We’re gonna do a 5 km ruck run or walk, every 4 minutes - 10 push-ups.

On Monday I’m dropping a brand new Periods & Power Moves podcast episode: “How to Have Superhero Energy, Feel Calm & In Control!” I wasn’t always good at dealing with my mood swings and that time of the month.
In fact, one time, I called my sister in LA to explain how I was feeling with all the ups and downs, back and forths and I ended up having a blazing row with her on the phone because she asked me WHY do I think I keep getting these episodes.
I called her out on not being supportive (totally defensive), not understanding and felt more alone than ever.
All I wanted to do was have a normal month, no b*tch fits, no hysterical crying into my spaghetti bolognese, no calling it quits for the umpteenth time on my entrepreneurial journey.
But then, I discovered that even I didn't know WHY I was behaving or reacting the way I was, and if I didn't know - why, then how on earth could I expect my sister or anyone else to know why, and in that moment, it changed my perspective.
Because, once I understood that I didn't understand my mind and my body.
I had let my moods, emotions and periods run me instead of me taking responsibility to figure out what the actual f*ck was going on with my cycle and how I could fix it, everything clicked into place.

I was introduced to this chant in 2001, in my first year of university. I was a regular at the campus gym and yoga class and it has stayed with me over the decades throughout teachers, on retreats and at my own teacher training. If you know me I love people, I love to be on the go meet new people, make new friends. Have date nights, go on adventures and travel the world. But now we are suspended out of normal life.
Sitting at home now for almost 3 weeks, I have organized my drawers, cleaned closets, kitchen cabinets etc if you know what I mean, and now with that all done I have the opportunity to evaluate what matters to me. The trivial things that pulled at my attention before (we as a world have been forced to wake up) now seem insignificant. The material things that gave me anxiety and challenged my worth, now seem frivolous.
The sweet time we can spend together, hear Larry’s jokes and watch him entertain me. Plus we will be celebrating his birthday online with his friends tomorrow, cause of social distancing. Every day cooking some delicious meals and eating eat to much food and snacks for sure, turning up the music, praying, reading, going for jogs and resting my body.... all the things that feel centered and wholesome - are tugging at my heart letting me know “this”. This is what I’ve missed and what matters more than the hustle and bustle.
I know we are all at unease about what the future is like for economics, for health, for safety. I get it. However, an overwhelming sense of comfort is washing over me.
This is the time to fine tune the things that matter most to me both personally and professionally while paying attention to the signs that are showing me what things were never worth my energy.
Life is refining our spirits right now in a profound way as we work hard as a global community to protect those most vulnerable.
My wholesome advice would be to lean into the core of your values and life right now and learn what this chapter is teaching you.
It is teaching me invaluable lessons.
