We need to reckon with our history of racial injustice. I think everything we are seeing is a symptom of a larger disease. We have never honestly addressed all the damage that was done during the two and a half centuries that we enslaved black people. The great evil of American slavery wasn’t the involuntary servitude; it was the fiction that black people aren’t as good as white people, and aren’t the equals of white people, and are less evolved, less human, less capable, less worthy, less deserving than white people. - Bryan Stevenson @bbryanstevenson@newyorkermag

Getting ready for the celebration in the park last summer.
Collecting Fine Art Photography including Henri Cartier Bresson, Sebastiao Salgado & Pentti Sammallhati with Gallerist Peter Fetterman.
Hello my dear Friends, i watched from Rio de Janeiro-Brazil, your seminar in #StayHomeWithLeica , and i print screen these
imagens. Congrats Mr. Peter Fetterman and Mrs. Paris Chong, for yours beautifu works, and for Leica Akademie Usa.
I look at this image and think of shifting perspectives. How we have the ability to do so easily and how we are seen from a different vantage point. However incremental the shift. Black and white seems to be the appropriate scheme for this particular movement.

The waiting game - New York, May 2020. The first and only time I’ve had to wait in Soho (a good 10 minutes) for someone to enter the frame. Usually in Soho, it’s the opposite and you’re waiting for crowds to get out of the frame.

Day 82: At 9pm, 9 days from George Floyd’s murder, we sat on the roof of our garage to send a light into the sky. For exactly 8 minutes and 46 seconds. The amount of time that George had a knee on his neck, pleading for his life. Our kids were not asking only once when the time would be up... it was a painful long nine minutes. Eye opening for sure. We care. We are sick of racism and violence. We want change. Black lives matter.
