Yes it is food. You can find this recipe for Mexican Quinoa Stuffed Peppers at http://ow.ly/P6A230qt7nm
But how the heck is this arts and crafts? Not everyone finds arts and crafts fun and soothing. But cooking is/can be an artform ... ask any chef out there! 😍😍😍 One thing you should do *every day*, outbreak or not, is be CREATIVE! 🌈🌈🌈 Cooking is creative! If there are 2 of you in isolation together then find a recipe that you like and try to PLATE the food just like the photo. Try it once following the directions exactly. The next time change it up a bit; for example, no quinoa? No problem, try rice instead. No peppers ... you can try stuffed tomatoes. Not sure of you want it as a main dish? Try the stuffing in mushroom caps as an appetizer. There are so many ways to be creative with meals. Have a Jamaican friend. Email her/him for an easy Jamaican recipe to try at home.
How to Clean - Equipment
At a MINIMUM you need:
COMMITMENT that you will do this
PATIENCE it takes time, no one has an instantaneous cleaning wand
ELBOW GREASE you have to do the hard work, the sanitizer just sits there
Cleaning rags 3-4, preferably different colours PER DAY
Paper towels - try to have a full roll
Bucket (full size) - at least 1, two would be better
Sanitizer/Disinfectant - Lysol, Clorox, Mr. Clean, etc.
Drying towel - optional
Super nice to have:
Gloves - latex food prep at a minimum, "gauntlet" type is even better (normally available at the dollar store)
Glasses - things do splash
Bandana, hair band, tie back - remember you don't want to be touching your face.
What you need per step:
1 PRE-clean - dry cleaning cloth
2 CLEAN - bucket, hot water, dish soap, unused cleaning cloth
3 RINSE - clean(ed) bucket, hot water, unused cleaning cloth
4 SANITIZE/DISINFECT - your preferred sanitizer/disinfectant (AND you have READ the label to know your timings), paper towel to stop it up after the time (use new towels often, you are picking up germs etc. Try not to redeposit them by over using a paper towel)
5 RINSE - clean(ed) bucket, hot water, unused cleaning cloth
6 DRY - optional dry (clean) towel or if you can let it air dry
It sounds long and complicated. Check out our postings on the schedules. It is not that difficult, depending on the size of your home it may take you 30-40 minutes a day to clean; 60 minutes to sanitize; and 70 minutes to disinfect.
Breathe in as you count to 5. Hold your breath and count to 5. Exhale counting to 5. Hold to the count of 5. Repeat as needed. Even better if you close your eyes 🧘♂️
We want to remind you that you will be OK. We will get through this, as we always do. This is not the end of the world 🌍
Right now is the time to fill ourselves with hope, faith and courage. Do not let the situation put fear or doubt in your heart ❤️
Focus on what you can do to stay healthy and minimize the spread. Trust that others are doing the same. We are in this together 🤝
Practice tele-social-gathering by staying in touch with your friends and family using technology. You do not need to isolate 🙅🏻♀️
Social distancing does not apply at home. You can still hug and love the people or pets that live with you 🐒
Most people will get over the sickness without special treatment 👍 while a small percentage of people won't. But if too many of us get sick at once it won't be fun for anyone. So remember to wash your hands and butts with soap and water and avoid crowded places as much as possible 😷
We can think, feel and react better with calm than with panic 🤯
Please share! 🙏

Some old memes shows I was social distancing before it was cool.
I can't wait for this to be over so these amateur hikers get off my trails 😉 @boyerzoo #stopthepanic
REPOST - We are concerned that people are *still* incorrectly using their cleaning products. When doctors say "clean and sanitize/disinfect" daily, they mean CLEAN WITH SOAP AND WATER. If you just spray your disinfectant on top if dirty surfaces you are putting yourself and everyone in your home at risk.
We are concerned that many of our customers and clients (at our various jobs) are still woefully misinformed about what to clean, how to clean it and how to PROPERLY sanitize or disinfect. We have decided to start posting as many times a day as we can. S and G Cleaning Solutions will do the research for you.
We will cover each of the 6 steps (see post dated 10 March 2020) for proper cleaning. Ingredient lists AND instructions from the manufacturer. "Dr. Jason Kindrachuk, an assistant professor and Canada Research Chair in emerging viruses at the University of Manitoba said that it’s important to remember that soap has, and will continue to be, one of the “best agents” to use to disinfect surfaces." http://ow.ly/n5MR30qpjPH
If you want to panic buy and stock up ... BUY DISH SOAP! If you follow the 6 steps and you CLEAN daily (steps 1, 2, 3, and 6) you will be needing LOTS of dish soap. Note: try to go for unscented or light scent. Many of those items have asthmogenic ingredients i.e. causes distress to the respiratory system.
So how much of what in what? The suggested best amount is 1 Tablespoon (15ml) per 4 cups (32oz, 1 litre) of HOT water. Our suggestion, measure how much your bucket holds with cold water. Fill it up 3/4 full and do the easy math.
Yes! You DO need that much each and every day. A whole bucket will easily clean your kitchen and bathroom(s). #detoxifymyhome#howtoclean#stopthepanic#publichealth#tbay#thunderbay#cleanproperly#coldandflu#staysafe#staystrong#stayhealthy#doitright
Merry Morning! Gotta love Auntie Acid ... I thought about cleaning the house. But then I thought, "What's the house done for me lately?" Sorry for the late posting. We hope you are doing well with your physical distancing and social media connectedness. We are doing well with the distancing while at our jobs. Trying to stay connected with family, but it is hard. We will take time this weekend to reconnect.
Have a happy day!
COVID-19 is an illness caused by a coronavirus. Human coronaviruses are common and are typically associated with mild illnesses, similar to the common cold. Symptoms may take up to 14 days to appear after exposure to the virus. *The coronavirus is most likely to spread from person-to-person through:
• direct close contact with a person while they are infectious
• close contact with a person with a confirmed infection who coughs or sneezes, or
• touching objects/surfaces (e.g door handles/tables) contaminated from a cough or sneeze from a person with confirmed infection, and then touching your mouth or face. *Infected persons may show peculiar symptoms: These can include fever, cough, sore throat, tiredness and shortness of breath. *Practising good hand and sneeze/cough hygiene is the best defence against most viruses. You should:
• wash your hands frequently with soap under running water,
• cover your cough and sneeze, dispose of tissues, and use alcohol-based hand sanitiser
• if unwell, avoid contact with others (stay more than 1.5 metres from people).
🙏📿 Do you have a devotional practice?
How do you honor the divine force that has given you this life, this moment, this opportunity to appreciate the gifts of our precious earth?
At this time, many of us have given up our usual daily routine; the rituals to which we have all become accustomed. Worshiping the gods of commerce, frenzy and monotony, we can find ourselves fumbling when we aren't constantly doing, spending, earning, or moving. .
Instead of seeing this time as a period of sacrifice, why not frame it as an opportunity?
When the crutches we are used to clinging to are nowhere in sight, how can we move forward?
The one force that can keep the human spirit going is the divine. Whether you call this force God, The Universe, Spirit, or The Great Unknown - it is undeniably the current of energy that flows through and connects every living soul on earth.
When is the last time you tried to connect with and appreciate that force? If you do not have a regular devotional practice, whether it be through movement, meditation, or prayer, the concept itself may seem foreign to you. .
However, it is at the core of every human being. That spark that keeps you going beyond your very worst moments, or the warm glow of love you feel when you are close to someone dear. This mysterious force is always within us, guiding us - if we just take a moment to stop, listen, and surrender.
. #bhaktiyoga is the practice of devoting ones self to deepening their relationship with and appreciation of this divine force. It is more than an exercise or quick-fix meditation practice; it is a journey towards understanding; a choice one makes with each new day.
So will you see today as a burden, or will you us this opportunity to reach the divine in you?

Beginner/Easy Crochet Pattern
Who doesn't love little catnip mouseies? This is an easy pattern to follow. This would be a suitable first project for those aged 5 to 95. You can access the pattern at http://ow.ly/wsGx30qsR4N
What are you filling your mind with?
We hope you are heeding the advice of #mentalhealth experts and limiting your time watching and reading about #covid19
Branch out and read or watch something else. It can be TV shows, movies, scifi, mystery, romance. I urge you to NOT read or watch the armageddon genre. I believe, in my non-medical opinion, that this genre will only increase your anxiety and stress levels.
Maybe today you can find a good book or magazine and sit out on your porch or balcony and catch some sun.
Remember to wash your hands when you come back in.
Can I give a simple advice? *Especially to everyone because everyone around here seems scared*
What you focus on, what you meditate upon, what you brood upon, what you occupy your thoughts with.. may soon manifest physically... If you are not a scientist working on getting solutions to Covid 19, if you are not a health worker actively working on diagnosing cases and healing those who are sick, if you are not a microbiologist or a pharmacist working on a cure, if you are not an epidemiologist monitoring the spread of the disease... If you are not in any of these categories.. *then stop active follow up on the covid 19, stop bombarding your mind with all articles, videos, social media posts on this virus..* stop meditating on this virus, stop giving it too much attention, stop brooding on it.. The mind is too active, the mind has the capacity to "attract" and "produce" what is constantly on it... Instead of giving attention to the virus.. Rather,
Give attention to the Precautionary measures for Prevention.. follow all the instructions that have been given.. Give attention to the covenant of Divine healing, divine health and divine Protection.. Give attention to the word of God that guarantees your protection, give attention to the Promises of God !!! Meditate and speak God's word over yourself and your family, Anoint your family supernatural protection. Pray for yourself & family, pray over your nation, pray for recovery for those who are sick, ask for wisdom for those working on the cure.. Remember we are like Goshen in the midst of Egypt.. We have a sure cover of the blood of the lamb.. This is real, don't allow anyone talk you out of it!!! *IGNITE YOUR FAITH, SPEAK THE WORD* *STOP MEDITATING ON COVID 19, MEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD* *OUR VICTORY IS CERTAIN*
Back to the basics... I've always enjoyed cooking... There's something about putting different raw ingredients together & judging what the outcome may be, that really calms me down... unfortunately, though delicious, (yes I'm saying it myself) I never get the same taste twice as I mix stuff up depending on my mood... a lot like my mom, I think.
Cooking is therapeutic & has a calming effect on me.
What doesn't is the incessant messages on what one should or shouldn't do... tiresome audios from different parts of the world supposedly trying to help you or giving you 'SECRET' remedies 🙄
But actually just spreading panic... #stopthepanic #startcooking #staysafe
Pogoda jest przecudna. Jesli macie mozliwosc posiedziec w szczerym polu, z dala od ludzi, zrobcie to.
Warto sobie pomedytowac i przestac patrzec przez chwile na te zawirusowane do granic mozliwosci internety i telewizje. 👉 Spokoj. Oni wiedza lepiej. Umyjmy rece. Przetrzyjmy klamki i kierownice w samochodzie. To sa male, wydaje sie, idiotyczne rzeczy. Ale one dzialaja! 👉Nuda? Uhennujmy sie, zrobmy pazurki, zasadzmy nowe badyle, posprzatajmy, zrobmy nowy kurs, przeczytajmy ksiazke. A moze czas na mehandi? Albo piegi?
Trzymajcie sie cieplo, hennowo. #stopthepanic#stayhome#care#meditation#bekind#zostanwdomu#protectederlies#eatlocal#spokoj#henna#wlosy#trzymajsie#pandemia#nieprzeszkadzac#kwarantanna

Never Enough, Never quite ‚right‘, Never enough time, Never, Never , Never - WAKE UP PEOPLE!!
When you work - you complain that the weeks are too long, hours too exhausting, weekends too short. There is never enough time to spend with your family or time for yourself. ☝️and then Pandemia happens and you are forced to stay at home - and what do you do? You complain again - loss of control over my life and freedom, cannot do this or that, too bored at home, lonely, we will all get fat and the list go on and on! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See the pattern? Wake up, humanity! 💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫
You always have a choice. This time is to self- reflect on ourselves, our lives, our values, our relationships (yesss divorce rates will go up as well as marriages ))), our relationship with ourselves, our compassion, our self- regulation, our inner knowledge. Our nature is healing with reduced emissions and we are given a chance to stop and observe. Use this chance wisely! Stop this negativity and panic, this creates a wide wide field of negative energy all over the world. Let us unite in positive thinking, in self-love and love towards each other. Just stop and breathe and enjoy life . Today. Now. In this moment.
Cheers to that ❤️ #livenow#love#life#stopthepanic#nocoronahere#beauty#keepliving#wakeuphumanity#wakeup#unite#peace#peacefulworld
Stop the scaremongering over Corona! Please, just stop it!
It kills so many industries right now. People are losing their jobs. People are afraid of the future. Some doesn’t really know how to earn money if everything is canceled. Women. Men. Everyone.
I’m so angry about the government. Can’t find words for that... it’s just so sad that the most important people totally miss their job in this case! #coronaisjustavirus #stopthepanic
They say you only get as much as you can handle but sometimes it feels like they might be overestimating us. It may be making you stronger, but it may be killing you too and it’s ok to acknowledge that.
The stigma around speaking about mental health is often more dangerous than the disorders themselves. The stigma prevents those who need help from getting it. If someone broke their arm they would be expected to go to the doctor for help; so why do we expect people suffering mentally to heal themselves? Learn to treat Mental Health like any other injury. Make time to help the ones you care about and help them when they need you.
