Well that’s kinda how I feel right now, I’m exploring new styles and colors and it may not feel like me now but eventually I will find my groove. If Walt Disney only made Mickey Mouse and was comfortable we wouldn’t have Donald Duck. Everyone needs to lose themselves in order to find themselves and this is what I’m doing.

Dr J. mural (circa ‘90). “Feeling restless and desperate to improve the quality and variety of the murals, Jane made a decision in 1990 that would forever change Mural Arts Philadelphia. She raised money from private foundation to bring her old friend and mentor Kent Twitchell to Philadelphia. She wanted a “breakthrough mural,” and Twitchell—a nationally acclaimed California artist—was just the man to paint it. “We knew we had to push the boundaries,” she said. “The goal was to try to integrate superior artwork with a subject that touched the community in a special way.””
