A collection of our fave bands, Circa Waves- T-shirt weather is appropriate for this lovely weather....the ‘corona-coaster’ sure is made easier with music and sunshine don’t you think?! 🌞🙌🏼🎶
We’ve actually been thinking about changing up our old record player eventually to a more streamlined version as we have to keep taking the lid off now we’ve got it on the shelves 🎵 .
Hope you’ve all enjoyed yet another sunshine filled day! 🌞✨

It is Thursday and we have made it past 5pm 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Now going to crack open the wine, not that I really needed an excuse anyway 🙈.
Bit of a different post from me today... I needed cheering up so experimented with a different kind of #sinkie with petals floating in the sink 🌼 How beautiful do they look!?I also made an “extra special” iced coffee and whipped it up with some clotted cream Cornish vanilla ice cream... if you haven’t tried this yet then you need to because it is an absolute game changer!! 👌🏻.
I hope you all have a wonderful evening whatever it is you might be doing!? 🍷 #thursdayvibes

Another day, another bake. Well this is my last ‘lockdown’ bake as I’m back to work tomorrow! Chocolate banana bread 🍌🍫 My @freddiesflowers came today and I’ve got peonies 😊 can’t wait for them to bloom. If anyone wants to try a box for free, drop me a message!
She was destined for the attic but I thought I’d have a quick go at painting and repairing her frame and now, it seems, she’s here to stay. See the way she’s caressing that tester pot of Bea by @mypainthouse. That’s how I feel about it too.
Had to share, how cool is this Morris powder room! 😍 .

40 weeks and 3 days after starting our renovation; and I’ve got my first, genuine, before and after!!! 😆
Granted, I’m still missing a section of paper but asides from that🤷🏻♀️ it’s finished!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 So satisfying to swipe between the two and see what this looked like just a few weeks ago.
Also very satisfying to find a final resting place for our ‘Kate and The Smelly Finger’ print, which has been in various rooms since we’ve had it.
There doesn’t seem a more appropriate place to put her 🙃
I’m so happy to have one finished room finally!!! And it’s given us the boost to keep going; safe in the knowledge that it WILL all get done in the end.
It’s happening! Mini collection of minis coming soon!
During my last collection launch my 10x10 pieces went SO fast, and I heard from a lot of you who were sad you missed out.
So very soon I’ll be releasing a mini collection of 15 “minis” - all 10x10x1.5”, all different colors, all $40 with $5 shipping (if needed), and all badass. 😆
Доброго и душевного вечера всем😊👌

I now have zebra print cushions as well...is it too much?! 🦓💗😂 •
With all that is going on in the world, days when the sun is shining and I’m sat very proud on my little bench, in Yorkshire, I just feel content! ☀️ •
Home is where the zebra print is, right? •
I hope you’re all having a fabulous day and staying safe! •

I absolutely love arranging flowers like this - these are artificial ones (you all know I’m not exactly green fingered! 😂) but I think high quality artificial flowers can be almost as nice as the real thing! These ones are from @therangeuk - they’ve got a great selection. .
Took this photo sitting at the bottom of the stairs 'from down low' Trying to get a slightly different angle of this room. It's kind of a L shape and then you step down into the kitchen it's all open plan, which I love and definitely my favourite space in the house, but can be hard to capture in a photo.
Really making the most of these 'precious moments' where I can faff and style and paint and do whatever the hell I like to our home. #interiorbliss
If you can ignore the slightly peeled paint/crack (adds character?! 😂) I love this little arch which we discovered when we took all the damp cladding off this wall mid renovation.
I knew that I wanted this little spice shelf and glass jars before we even started renovating the kitchen but at the time you couldn't buy them UK (I looked everywhere!) so I ordered both from the US. The glass pots arrived perfectly and I had to pay an extra £40+ tax for the shelf when it arrived 🙊 only to find that it wasn't wide enough to hold the jars!!! I was quite mortified!
I showed my dad and didn't dare tell him how much I spent on the shelf when he said it was just 4 bits of wood glued together 🙈 so he helped me make this one big enough to fit the jars!
I haven't actually told anyone about this expensive error yet and it's been 5 years! No one tell my husband! 😂

myhousethismonth | put down your phone
mydailyrenovation | cause for celebration
Today, I put down my phone and had my first attempt at making scones. I am a bit gutted that I couldn’t get any clotted cream but hey you can’t have everything. Today is feeling a bit of a struggle, I am missing being close to my family and I have to admit to phoning my mum and having a little cry. That said I have been listening to a great VE Day playlist on Spotify. It has been put together by bletchleyparkuk and has really reminded me of visiting my grandparents on a Sunday morning and hearing tunes like this coming from the wireless
Last Friday, these beautiful bloomandwild flowers arrived from a colleague who I have only really been working with since the pandemic. She had recognised that things were quite tough after the death of my uncle as well as my contribution to the project we are both on. Such a kind and thoughtful gesture that I had to share on my grid. Fast forward to a time when we are back at work, I can buy her a coffee and give her a hug to say thank you. For now though I am happy to stay in lockdown for longer and avoid as many other families having loved ones dying in hospital without those closest to them 💕. Stay safe x

I’ve always loved the rustic pallet furniture I see when I’m scrolling through Pinterest, so I convinced my hubby to make this palette headboard for one of the spare rooms, with built in lights made from jam jars! I absolutely love it, it’s such shabby chic & I love the contrast of the rough wood with the feminine pink and grey ❤️ probably should have ironed the sheets though! 🙈😂
Lockdown Home transformations. Spending so much time at home has allowed us to see areas of our homes we would like to makeover. Whether that be a complete renovation or garden redesign through to gallery wall restyling or new bedding
Hello, I hope your all managing to enjoy the sunshine!
If you’ve been following along, we’ve been renovating the lounge. So far we’ve painted, replaced window boards and radiators. We still need to finish the new skirting boards off and buy soft furnishings. However I thought I’d show you the progress so far. I’m loving the darker decor and finding it a very relaxing space to have a cup of tea. I was nervous about going this dark but I think it works. Do you ever get nervous about paint?? Xx
Décor extends beyond the confines of the interior as this stunning home proves! Oversized greenery, placed both inside and directly outside the sliding doors, give this living space a natural and serene ambiance while the widely varying accessories – a super modern curved chair, ornate crowned mirror, and woven tote bag inject a decidedly eclectic tone. Two very different approaches = one original look. That’s interior décor at its best!
Fully taking advantage of this unexpected hot weather by spending all my time out in the garden. The girls are loving the paddling pool while I chill with some juice and a mag, got to take advantage of these precious moments of calm! Definitely trading the juice in for a gin later too once we’ve been to doorstep visit my gran for her birthday 🎂 also super excited that we’re now allowed to have friends visit in our gardens here in Scotland, it’s truly music to my ears and feels like a massive step in the right direction! .
I’m so happy this glorious weather is staying! 🌞
This morning I had a little reshuffle of the kitchen shelves as I wanted to bring a new lease of life into them. 🌿🍋🌈
I’ve been reading a lot of interior books recently and I Wanted to share some tips for the perfect shelf styling, because I find getting the right balance right can be so hard!! 🙈
Make sure there is variation in height, have odd numbers, create layers, use random objects, don’t be afraid of leaving empty space, give each shelf a key focal point and colour palette and group similar items together to avoid clutter 🙌🏻 have a fab day everyone ❤️ •
I found this east facing room a real struggle. I knew I wanted to go with a dark colour but was too scared. After two failed repaints in some ‘safe’ colours, I took the plunge and went for Farrow and Ball’s ‘Downpipe’. No regrets- it’s surprisingly comforting spending time in there and a lesson to trust your instincts!

Good morning everyone!! Hope you’re all well on this gloriously sunny Thursday. ✨☀️✨ We’re back to our HYSMA HQ today for this pic & I wanted to show you the transformation of our guest bedroom.
Before that, I really want to thank everyone for all the love on Whitstone Cottage’s bedroom revamp. I’m thrilled to bits you all love it- I’m truly honoured.
I was inspired to post today by @houseofspolland who reminded me that it’s good to reminisce about where you started, to remind yourself how far you’ve come.
When we moved in, this bedroom had significant damp, the ceiling rose & coving had been removed, the original fireplace was covered in layers & layers & layers of paint & so was the door & handle.
Swipe to see the other side of this room & the before/during pics- including the estate agent photo.
There weren’t any wardrobes in here either & these were actually built by Mr P. I’m still so impressed, not least because they were his first ever carpentry project, but also that he managed to do it all for about £150!! Well done Mr P! Can’t wait til you can build us some in our other bedroom. Oooh- and pop some panelling up. 😃👍 Happy Thursday everyone. #haveyouseenmyarea #myperiodhomestyle #periodhomesofinsta #myperiodhomestyle #interiorvampire #ADailyDoseOfColour #Farrowandball #sulkingroompink #manorhousegrey #dimpse #mygorgeousgaff #sassyhomestyle #showusyourgaff #fridayhomefeatures #myhousedownsouth #pinkdecor #apartmenttherapy
